We’re in enchanting Ireland visiting its beautiful countryside, bustling cities, rugged coastline
and mysterious sites…. Join us on our journey across the Emerald Isle!
Our first stop brings us to the home of Mac & Olive.
Standing alone in the countryside, its abandonment is hidden away from the rest of the world.
The years left this house behind, frozen in its hay day.
Memories from many moons ago hang from the walls, but nobody is around to view them anymore.
We discover how the years have transformed this lonely farm house…

A lot of homes in Ireland 🇮🇪 may look like they are not lived in but be careful as a lot of family live close by just to let you know when you’re looking

Sam, I’m surprised that you couldn’t fill in the blank of the scripture last word. “ The Lord is my??”Sheppard, The Lord is my Sheppard, I shall not want”. The speaker is God who is telling us that He will lead us like a flock of sheep to greener pastures, to protect us, to feed us. You can take the Shepard as synonymous for lProtector”.

I'm amazed the smoke alarm is still still bleeping after all time ! The odd bleep as the batteries are nearly flat. It gave me Granda vibes as you sweeped through the house. It reminded me of mine when i saw the brush for shaving, medicines on the counters, clothes hanging over the bannisters...you can see the wife passed first as men gather clutter. It's sad but it's life and its such a lovely untouched place. A good find guys.

I have some newspapers from more than ten years ago, in reserve for when there is water leak or to catch paint drips when redecorating. I got rid of them all once & then regretted it when I opened the cupboard under the sink only to experience a sort of mini-tsunami across the kitchen floor. I had no choice but to soak it up using all my nice clean towels, because I had no newspapers. As if to make a point the same thing happened again a few weeks later. I still had to use some of my towels as I had not saved enough newspapers. So now I have a shopping bag packed with old newspapers!

It makes me sooo very sad that the children or family members didn’t return to save the iconic memories & memorabilia from this once elegant place!!! Also sad that the gorgeous, wooden furniture isn’t saved, restored & utilized once again…one of a kind treasures!!! Nice tour! Those beeps are how a smoke detector tells you it needs a new battery. It beeps roughly once every minute. I learned this when I was rooting around in my garage one time, when I'd let a friend store some stuff in there. Included was a smoke alarm. I spent the best part of a half hour tracking down which box was beeping... Cheers
