We’re in enchanting Ireland visiting its beautiful countryside, bustling cities, rugged coastline
and mysterious sites…. Join us on our journey across the Emerald Isle!
Our first stop brings us to the home of Mac & Olive.
Standing alone in the countryside, its abandonment is hidden away from the rest of the world.
The years left this house behind, frozen in its hay day.
Memories from many moons ago hang from the walls, but nobody is around to view them anymore.
We discover how the years have transformed this lonely farm house…

A lot of homes in Ireland 🇮🇪 may look like they are not lived in but be careful as a lot of family live close by just to let you know when you’re looking
the bird sound, is a smoke alarm with a battery that needs changing, awesome place :)
I came here to say the exact same thing about the smoke detector. LOL I love the vibe in that house.
Loved the house! It's sad in a way to think that an elderly gentleman lived there on his own until he either passed away or went into a care home 😔 thank you Sam and Jess for another great explore 😊 take care you two lovely peeps. Xx
Sam, I’m surprised that you couldn’t fill in the blank of the scripture last word. “ The Lord is my??”Sheppard, The Lord is my Sheppard, I shall not want”. The speaker is God who is telling us that He will lead us like a flock of sheep to greener pastures, to protect us, to feed us. You can take the Shepard as synonymous for lProtector”.

What makes you thinkthats a water tank on the roof your wrong 🤣
Always makes me feel melancholy seeing these places xx
What a lovely home! If you look past the mold and the mess you can see what would have been a busy family home once. It’s a great time capsule and I’ve enjoyed looking around it! Ireland is so beautiful! Thank you Sam and Jess!! X
So invasive of somebody’s life.Who would think this is ok.?
Ireland is a wonderfull place and people are so easy going
You are right, very friendly people, so easy to talk to and you be always welkom. We have been there for so long, holidays in autumn, perhaps some rain but Ireland is very green, and has a long history.
I absolutely love seeing Jess's confidence grow! You used to be more shy and reserved and hung back and let Sam take the lead. I just can't say how much I love watching your videos! Other explorers don't even compare. I hope you are able to do this for a long long time. Sending my love!❤
brilliant ...do more of ireland......plenty of abandoned cottages...mayo is the best x
Could be dangerous if they meet some hillbillys..
What surprises me is that despite all the yrs yourselves and others have been doing this. There's STILL new abandoned houses to show 😮 xx
Wonderful house that still has all that was needed to live in the countryside. Thanks for the Irish visit. Take care! 💙
Hello Jess and Sam. Nice find an the chirp you are hearing is the smoke detector. The house seems like it was full of family and love. So sad it is just left. It just feels so sad. Thank you for sharing.😊
Yes, smoke detectors beep to let the home owner know the battery needs to be replaced.
Love seeing the house . It’s a very nice house but needs work done but I think it could be livable if someone bought it . I hate to good homes go to waste .
This is the first time i have watch your videos i love how you show use such detail you take your time when you walk round I am now one of your followers. And i love the way you go back to what we have seen and the music. Thanks for sharing that wonderful House 🏠
It is so sad tho see this lovely old house, full of lovely furniture, memories & mementos of past lives, just mouldering away.
What a gorgeous house!
Good to see you over here, the red car was last registered in 2012 and car tax was in 2013 as it ran out in 2014. Hope you visit many places of my island
Hi guys that was a amazing little house 🏡 just goes to show wen we leave this world 🌍 we leave everything behind only memories shame someone could not bay that house and do it up thanks for sharing with me David🇬🇧❤️👍
Love Ireland! Thank you Sam and Jess! The house was sad. Travel light in this world.
The photo of the sisters hanging on the wall look like twins the other looks like their wedding day great vid Sam n Jess 💕✨
Great place. The cane you found is a shalaylee or shillelagh, a traditional Irish walking stick made from blackthorn.
No it isn't
this picture of the student 13:40 wouldn't you have thought he or the family do something with this place, I couldn't just leave it
Loved this one .. like you say yourselves you can relate to a lot of its contents . But how sad that a family home is just left to ruin … so glad you take us on a peek of lives lived poor Mac he loved his whisky and coke ❤
I think Mac was very well off. He vould have hired a maid.
Looking forward to seeing an Irish explore xx
I'm amazed the smoke alarm is still still bleeping after all time ! The odd bleep as the batteries are nearly flat. It gave me Granda vibes as you sweeped through the house. It reminded me of mine when i saw the brush for shaving, medicines on the counters, clothes hanging over the bannisters...you can see the wife passed first as men gather clutter. It's sad but it's life and its such a lovely untouched place. A good find guys.
Great farm house, again so many things left behind. It's sad that no family members wanted to keep the treasures from the past. Love to all. 🥰
I take atorvastatin for my cholesterol. So we know he had high cholesterol. Lol great beautiful old home!
I loved this video, thanks for sharing! Great house and grounds.
Your drive around is beautiful, and such a lovely old farmhouse. Hate seeing it go to such waste. Kitchen was grand. Loved the ole magazine with recipes, need to try them Jess and let us know bout them😁😊😉
What a beautiful farmhouse. Sad that its just rotting away. 32:40 that fireplace is beautiful!
I was wondering were u guys where . Looking forward to your explore...as always 💖🌻
I was to and have missed them .
What a grand home it must have been. Lots old spirit there. Thanks for the cool explore!
I have some newspapers from more than ten years ago, in reserve for when there is water leak or to catch paint drips when redecorating. I got rid of them all once & then regretted it when I opened the cupboard under the sink only to experience a sort of mini-tsunami across the kitchen floor. I had no choice but to soak it up using all my nice clean towels, because I had no newspapers. As if to make a point the same thing happened again a few weeks later. I still had to use some of my towels as I had not saved enough newspapers. So now I have a shopping bag packed with old newspapers!
That cheeping sound is the smoke alarm/s letting you know they need new batteries. If you do not have any smoke alarms it might be a good idea. Smoke can kill quickly. You might just not wake up.
The smoke alarm needs a new battery that's the bleep u can here 🤣✌
I live in England and I have that chirping sound in my house when the batteries are running low in my smoke alarm they are supposed to last for 10 years
Yes Sam jess looks very interesting hope u enjoying your travels .awsome I b there Sam jess xxx 👍👍👍
That was really a time capsule. Thank you, Sam and Jess. The whole house told a story.
Someone's whole life just left to disintegrate, quite sad really isn't it.
All their precious photos and little keepsakes that probably meant so much to them, now they mean nothing to anyone, just junk for the local tip.
Thanks for the tour guys 👍
that is your opinion, one mans junk is another mans gold.....
Lovely to see you on closer lands it as been nice to see past times in Ireland was i am shaw a lovely property in it hay day thank you sam and jess
That noise you kept hearing is a smoke alarm with a low battery. It wasn’t a bird. 🤣👍👍
SOME LOVLEY HOOVERS AND ELECTROLUXES ON HERE MIND LIKE
I'll be watching 👍
Looks as tho the home has never been cleaned, poor man had too live in all that. Love the home all in all.
I absolutely loved this gorgeous, well to do, farmers property!!! It makes me sooo very sad that the children or family members didn’t return to save the iconic memories & memorabilia from this once elegant place!!! Also sad that the gorgeous, wooden furniture isn’t saved, restored & utilized once again…one of a kind treasures!!! I would have loved to have seen what those old barns & out buildings contained… too bad that the weather didn’t cooperate 😞😢😰 Thank you Sam & Jess for sharing this wonderful adventure with us!!! I truly loved it ❤️💕♥️
I see the name Ireland so i stopped and was watching. This home is a true time capsule thanks to you both for showcasing this adorable home . My grandpa is Italian and other grandpa is Irish it is nice to see where my family is from. Now i am loving Ireland i love the views thanks again .:) Barbara USA

You guys found another awesome 😎💕 place you were so overwhelmed with all the stuff you didn't take time to notice the beautiful furniture so are you going to answer the question I've been asking
There’s a man and woman spirit in that house.
That noise is a low battery in a smoke alarm.
No just whiskey.
@@janetpendlebury6808 lol. I’ve never picked up on whiskey but never been a drinker.
Just found you guys . I loved this . I was born in Northern Ireland, now living in Australia , can out here with my grandparents when I was young , and now they’re both gone 😢
I love your videos so much guys, the music, the filming, your spontaneous comments... and I love time capsules, this was awesome, thank you so much!
Can't wait guys
Such a great find from an abandoned point of view. It is terribly sad that so much of a person’s life is just left. Thank you for another interesting video. You guys are great:) Love the music choice as well. Stay safe!
Can't wait 😃 xx
Lovely home, the stench must have been quite overwhelming. Niagara Falls little wall hanging from my area of the world. Love seeing the Canadian connection. Great video, love that Jess narrated it 😀

The charisma cream sachet red container was released in 1968 by Avon and then discontinued soon after . Just wanted you guys to have a bit of info .x
That beep sounds like smoke detectors or Carbon dioxide alarms.
Your intros are the best! Cheers from Arizona
That sound is the battery running out on the fire alarm 😊 loved this. New subscriber! ❤
That was a lovely home to start with Sam and jess, really enjoyed that, thank you so much for taking us on a travel to Ireland keep them coming stay safe and take care 🙏 ❤️
So sad.
That house held together pretty well, it could be fixed up.
You should've checked the food in the fridge for dates or the car's tax disc.
The smoke alarm was beeping due to low battery, they do last ten years, sometimes longer.
I hope this place never gets touched. Dont tell anyone where it is
Nice tour! Those beeps are how a smoke detector tells you it needs a new battery. It beeps roughly once every minute. I learned this when I was rooting around in my garage one time, when I'd let a friend store some stuff in there. Included was a smoke alarm. I spent the best part of a half hour tracking down which box was beeping... Cheers
When you both got outside and exploring the bird 🐦 outside sounded like the smoke alarm ⏰️ inside the house 🏠 😂.
Brilliant both of you. Jo love this house.
Hellooo there my Dear Sam&Jess, I still want to visit Ireland.
And what a amazing exploration this was. Thank you, and have a lovely Sunday together.
As always friendly greetings from us:Anne&Harry from Amsterdam.

Thank u sam and jess
Interesting old ICI flask. (Imperial Chemical Industries) My older sisters did her degree 1 year sandwich when BSc Hons were 4 years. One in Yorkshire was Research Laboratories and manufacturing 2 Square miles of buildings. ICI, jar tells me would be agricultural solution. Nice to see it not a vandalised up house
Loved this guys fab place. Sad that he or they ended their days in a mess. Nice house I wonder why no one cleared it so odd
Great start to this Irish trip..
❤💙
Nice to see you here in Ireland, have a look at Whites Castle in Athy, has a long history. Love your explores, takes me to places I would never get to see otherwise
Whites Castle Athy, I remember them selling Toffee apples at the red front door..
Love your'e video guys. keep up the hard work. all the best and happy new year❤
I recently found out that fire-alarms do this annoying, quick beeping sound when the battery is running low. You can’t imagine how much it was driving me insane. It beeped more and more often and got louder but I couldn’t figure out what that fucking sound was hahaha. It took me so long to realize. When I heard it in this video it was haunting to me hahahahaha
Love your videos and all the beautiful places you visit! Your channel is my comfort place before going to sleep, it helps me to calm down. Hope you’re doing well xx
Just want to say you guys are awesome...enjoy every one of your videos , thank you both !
Welcome to my wee country Northern Ireland.
North Mayo is not flat we have hills and mountains, welcome to Ireland
Incredible home. Thanks
Yes I loved it. Of course your European trips have been fabulous and I look forward to more in the future, but so good to be closer to home. Beautiful area and great abandoned home. I always wish we could just take a peek at these homes before they became derelict and certainly I would love to have seen this one in it’s day. Great video guys. Much love to you both. 💜💙
Loved it! Thank you Sam and Jess.
When I went to school in 1982/3 we bought club king size and we bought or sold each cigarette for 10/20p, lol. Totally love and miss School days, you both bring back memories and that's whY you two are one of my fav RUclipsrs 💚💛💙
That pink qvon pot ypu pik ed up is one of the nicest they every produced😊
It’s the first time i have watched this. Do you get permission to enter abandoned properties. So interesting but also so so sad. Does the property belong to anyone now or are there no relatives still living. It could be a lovely home but it would cost an arm and a leg to get it habitable again.
Lol!
Permission from whom?
If you're new to this, let me spell it out: what they do's called trespassing.
@@elchapito4580 it’s the first time I’ve watched this so no idea they were trespassing. Surely the property belongs to someone. It wouldn’t sit right to me rooting among a dead persons possessions Maybe I’m old fashioned but I couldn’t do it.
Love watching n Thank yal
What part of ireland is it? I'm from donegal just curious. The photo in the calendar of erigal. Thats about ten minutes away from me. Yous should check out around gweedore. Hood few untouched abandoned houses. Love the videos
I'm guessing far south of NI right next to the border. The 1997 calendar was from a company in Monaghan and I'd guess that was local-ish to the house.
My parents from Donegal too I used to work in Abbey hotel 38 years ago in Birmingham
What an awesome find! If you’re ever back in Ireland, I’m apart of a group who loves to explore such places and would happily show you around some of the places we’ve found around Ireland 😊
Hello Sam and Jess ,the noise you can here around the house is a carbon monoxide alarm with the battery going flat i know because I ve got one in my cottage
In the room that was a Christmas 🎄 back in the 20s
I came to say that, very sought after items regarding Christmas memorabilia.
That house is still in good condition to say its been empty for years the Celine looks ok good video
a very sad tp see such a beautiful old house . such a shame
Incredible explore Sam and Jess, this place was amazing so sad everything was left behind!!
