The Reason Studios in-house song-writing challenge!

- Back in May at the Super Booth synth gathering in Berlin Ryan, Maja, and Lisa from Reason Studios were hanging out talking music production, as you do, when they realized they should all collaborate together and make a song! Objekt being the newest synth on the block, they decided they would use that as their inspiration throughout the process. All along the way, they documented their collaboration that resulted in the catchy earworm in this video. Let us know in the comments if you want to hear more from Reason Studios' newest band!

Cool. Nice idea brainstorming with word associations as a basis.
I don’t know why this is a lot of fun to watch…enjoyed seeing through the process from start to finish. It is also refreshing to see other faces from the Stockholm office. And, as always, Ryan is such an incredible host…I still miss the “pandemic” Reason live streams.

Definitely! That should be the next video that lasts for over an hour, (at least). Give the file to users who can convey its true potential whilst messing with the vox and creating some killer beats and gnarly basslines.
I had made a song for the challenge but finished a couple days after deadline, so will wait for the next one or see if i can still submit for 'reason' playlist, otherwise do enjoy using reason studios for a few things. As for the "Objekt" synth that the competition was based on, i had to dig real deep to get the song sounding right (which end product was cinematic and cool sounding), but it is a good sounding synth and will get better as more sounds are added, which takes time; but look forward to trying more things within Reason studios in addition to my other VST's and programs i regularly use for my mixing process.

I made a song for a competition and I couldn't even send the dam file lol.
Ok most of us watch Reason for deep dives and tutorials. Collaborating is always nice especially when all parties are willing to show their processes from a Reason focal point since Reason is such a never ending learning curve if you want it to be. Nevertheless it's a lighthearted and good start of your collaborative endeavour so, yay! Nice job!

Fun fact: The guy in Niki and the Dove is the brother of a Reason device designer who is responsible for creating Thor and leading the development of Pulveriser, Aligator, and The Echo (among other stuff I'm forgetting to mention)

@@HOLLASOUNDS An 'Andrew Huang 4 Producers 1 Sample'-type project could suit this video well. Getting producers who exist in "different genres" to show how tangents could be explored whilst using Reason's software and third party VSTs could result in some extremely interesting music that could inspire and showcase Reason's potential to be used with all of the other software that's out there. Who uses Reason without third party VSTs?

i never used linux but since what microsoft is about to do and have done already i kinda feel like at one point in the future me or we dare i say alot would be literaly forced to start using linux. so its propably kinda easy to find most things on the linux side as well that can do kinda the same that one was able or used to do on a microsoft windows machine but with reason its .. well i can only talk for myself but for me it is reason or reason there is nothing else. sure there are some trying and ive worked with cubase logic and what not in the past but at the end of the day beeing able to use reason on my computer will always be a non debatable requirement so. the question poped up in my head today and i couldnt find any hint so far if there is the idea already beeing discussed at reason studios or already decided ? maybe there is even a time frame to expect something ? any information would be welcome evne if its a simple -> no we dont plan to do this at this point

A subscription? Are you sure this is not a typo or a mistake somewhere? Personally consider music and music instruments are FOREVER. Everything else is transient in a musician or music related professions.
We build on our art. Our time learning is not spent for renting into another platform with some remote landlord actually owning the stuff we treasure... Invariably it is going to be taken away with some payment skips or when one actually bothers to stop adding hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of $ into the future. A fixed payment asked to us who have nothing secure, is not a joke, it is tragic ignorance. We buy a guitar and stays there, an interface, and effect or a rack as well. If Bill Gates or Mr .Jobs progeny rebuild the streets once done, again and again, charging for it, if such malady recurs somehow, it is not excuse for Reason and others following Suit. Actually Avid is somehow correcting course already at 2023, and consciousness is spreading, or so it seems if one closes one's own eyes almost totally, just enough to catch a glimpse of eternity in a single sight. One wishes.
I shouldn't be talking about this, but I liked what you're done, and the fact that somehow you are behind it, means it would be good for you to listen to this message, so I make a little effort to take whatever pain and distance might have attached to this, and say it with the happiness that I am also sharing something good with whoever listens to this.
...I know protocols, plans and systems would not allow fixing this for this occasion, hopefully for the future, yes.
