Thank you so much !!! Also how to create shadow of this glass material ... I'm trying to make a stained glass window and adding light from the opposite side ..
@@snow_mamba yaa increasing the roughness work and I also kept the light color little similar to that of the color of the glass(majority)... The effect is cool.. Thanks
This is such an amazing tutorial - you're super clear and concise. I had some problems with the node re-router, I can't split the node using any shortcuts, anyone else have this problem? I'm on a MAC, using Blender 2.9
Yeah possibly, I'd have to play around with it. Base on the pictures I just googled it looks like a few noise textures stacked on top of each other might be a better way to do the terrazzo.
Hello, Thank you so much for your tutorials I watch many of them, In this one I am about half way through it, But I am noticing that the top part of my glass is blurry, While the bottom of the glass looks normal. I have tried to check all values and settings but nothing seems to change it. Any ideas?
Can you help me to know how to bake the texture correctly ? I would like to use it in Unity for my student project. And I can't export it because if I bake the diffuse, the image I get is full black
Hi Earel, can you outline the steps you are taking to bake the texture. If it's a lot to write out here you can message me on instagram or discord or even post on my discord for help from other members as well.
Yes for sure, would be a cool effect as well. You can change the settings to image sequence on the image texture, or probably just drag a video into the shader editor directly.
Your tutorials are truly great, I view everyone you post. I'm one year into learning Blender, come from 3ds MAX, Alias, Wavefront, Cubicomp. I was thinking how cool it would be for design shaders that mimic or infuse the style of the great painters, for me, that's the impressionists like Monet, Van Gogh, Matise. Thank you again, Richard rsher_digital on Instagram .
Thanks very much for the kind words Richard! I agree that would be very cool to imitate painting styles and that's something I've played around with but I haven't gotten anything that great yet.
@@Zealot_fx bruh you didnt even make the idea, why would you sell it. It would make sense to do that if you were the man himself, sam bowman. Also you should really stop advertising your patreon to random people. I dont think there is a chance anyone would buy it.

My gosh, you are criminally underrated! You've taught me so much about shaders!
Thanks very much!
Great tutorial, I always prefer when people explain the "why" and "what this does is". Everything was clear, and at a good pace. Thank you.
wow ty so much for this! I'm starting to feel a bit more comfortable with how nodes work.
Great to hear
The best tutorial! Congratulations, Master.
Thanks very much
12:49 they way to split node connections is to press shift+right click :) Great tutorial!
Thanks!
I learned so much! Thank you for sharing your shader knowledge. Using the Vo texture as vector input to an image node totally blew my mind.
Happy to help!
One of the most interesting and informative videos! Learnt so much about nodes just from this one video. Thank you 😊
Happy to hear that
Awesome, mate. Thank you very much!
1:30 - For anyone wondering, click 'shift + ctrl' ('shift' + 'cmd' for Mac) to route the node to the material output :)
Wow! Really nice! So helpful, thank you for this video!

Hi there, I'm not too sure. You could try turning up the index of refraction and the roughness, that might do the trick.
@@snow_mamba yaa increasing the roughness work and I also kept the light color little similar to that of the color of the glass(majority)... The effect is cool.. Thanks
Verified to work in 4.2 with minimal tweaking!
Good to know, appreciate it!
Thank you so much for this ❤️
Fantastic tutorial! Many thanks!
excellent tutorial!! Thanks for sharing this!

this soo coool!!

Just wanna say... thank you.

Make sure that you have node wrangler enabled, you probably do but I figured I'd mention it. You can also add reroutes through the search.
@@snow_mamba great thanks - i'll try that out
Does this work in 4.2? Looks great
Excelente............
Nice technique. Could be used for making more detailed terrazzo also.

This is pretty fucking cool.
RIP default cube
default never gets the love it deserves. It just wants to turn into something beautiful.
this is great! will you be sharing the .blend file?
I'll see what I can do.
How did you put on that "Viewer" window. I really can not figure that outon how to get that. otherwise great tutorial!
Hi the shortcut is ctrl + shift + LMB, and for it to work you need node wrangler enabled
@@snow_mamba aaand where do I do that?
@@umbre1619 just go to edit, preferences, addons, and search for node wrangler, then check the box
And if you're using the latest version I'm pretty sure the viewer node is gone but it works the same
