This set has brought me back to Pokemon after 23 years. Pulled a charizard SIR in my first ETB. So exciting.

I got the Chuckizard SIR in my FIRST PACK of 151 and was immediately sold on the set haha its just so good.. and the pull rates really aren't bad imo.
I died inside when I saw this comment. I couldn't pull a charizard to save my life.

@@jorisk4236I think you answered your own question my friend, you’d only keep sealed to sell, you can always buy another one once you feel you no longer want to open the set
As someone fairly new to collecting, a video on how to sell/ properly use TCGPlayer would be great! Very interesting to see reverses such as metapod so expensive, good info for sure, thanks.

Like a lot of others, this set allowed me to be part of Pokémon again after having it as a kid! Such a great time to be collecting!

I basically made my money back opening my first ETB of 151. Pulled the Venusaur SAR and several other high value cards from one box. Very impressed with this set! Love the video.

Glad I put all my 151 bulk in a separate card holder than all my others. I absolutely LOVE thos set. Got back into the hobby in 2017. By far my fave set thus far

Haven’t bought cards since 99/2001 I’m 28 so these got my attention and man I’m hook on finishing 2 packs in UPC and ETC so far so many hits I love the art.
I am 27 and I also opened my first packs of 151 after 16 years. I completed the Master set twice now. They know what they are doing, never seen the community this hyped about collecting.
These "valued prices" are set by who? Appraised by who? And who... Will buy them??

Your Not gunna believe my luck, I bought x3 booster boxes of 151 jp cards, got x2 god packs over 2 boxes, I got squirtle wartortle and blastoise with bulb ivy and venusaur plus chameleon in one god pack
2nd box I got the charizard chameleon n charmander art and another squirtle wart and blast 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I like the idea of selling on TCGPlayer but I'm afraid no one will buy... When I personally buy from TCG I usually skip over the people who have only a few sales even if they're the cheapest... Any advice?
Tiktok shops made this set very affordable during the black friday coupon weeks. It was wild. Collected Master Balls for 151 Japanese more tho now since those prices are even jumping up for reverse holo singles
Yea 151 has been a blast art wise to make a master set for not so much on luck pulling everything without creating a massive amount of bulk. Still need 14 cards 4 reverse holos them being Gengar, Pinsir, Ditto and Jolteon. 1 normal ex being zapdos followed by Poliwhirl, Mr. Mime, Omanyte, Dragonair illustration rares. Not too many ultra rares left just Charzaird ex, Blastoise ex, Arbok, Golem and Mew EX.
Honestly, the amount of holographic Gengar, Ditto and Jolteons i have lying around but not a single reverse holo for them makes me cry.

These make sense. i have a full ETB of reverse holos and the hardest to find reverse holo was the female nidoran, lapras, ratticate, pinsir, and kabuto for me. i ended up buying 3 of those cards because i didnt pull a single one from 8 etbs, 2upcs, 4 binders, 4 zaptos and 2 alakazams.
I've been keeping all of my reverse holo cards for trading with others. I know there's a lot of collectors going for a complete master set with them.
I always thought that everyone kept their bulk. Maybe that’s cause I’m broke and can’t bear throwing even commons away
I’m 50 50 on 151 it’s not a very good set I really don’t like but it bring back the good times base set something I can’t afford wish I can but it’s not a good set skip

This set is so amazing yet driving me crazy. 17 cards away from my master and all it seems like is I get skunked or doubles. Come on pokégods bless me with art rares please.

I kinda go over board with putting cards in sleeves. If it’s a reverse, regular holo or anything better I sleeve it. I guess old habits from when I was young are going to pay off lol
You’re not making money if your not selling and half the people in the world that are opening these packs aren’t selling or don’t even have a way to sell effectively enough to make it worth buying more cards just saying this is like any other hobby pay to play no real returns just my opinion but I’ll still open them 😂

i just got a couple boxes myself i love the art work although im new to the hobby is it normal i only got a few full art and a couple ex cards literally half the stuff i got was shiny or reverse holo that was in 18 packs

Master setting 151 got me back in to collecting. I even graded two SIR zards!
I feel like reverse holos have been largely underperforming in most past sets, this should be normal pricing for them imo.

There's a card that's worth not a whole lot in this set BUT it was produced less then charzard SIR so long term who knows what will happen

151 master set easy to put together. Also did one in japanese. Bulk going to be worth a fortune years down the road.
Easy to put together if you have a crap ton of money like anything else . The masterball set alone is thousands
Prices are high on cards because you have to pay so much per pack as there are no booster boxes and it's constantly sold out for the booster bundles with scalpers upping the price on em
