I’m about 6 months into my loc journey and, I’ve been retwisting my hair with edge control because i couldn’t think of anything that was would help my parts look clean and sleek. I’m definitely going to try this because I hate how the edge control builds up.

I use jam, it’s oily so it’s easier to shampoo out

I can't wait to loc up 😭 I've been doing wash n go's for a year now and I'm ready for a change. I like that you use water soluble products. I currently don't even use any kind of creams/butters but especially oil so I'll do some research on what products I will use with locs cause idk if I ever want to put oil in my hair again. Your locs look so healthy!!!

They look great! You can use a blow dryer on cool if you want to avoid heat to speed up the process.

I’m going to start using aloe vera gel in my husbands locs.
I’m not sure how long you’ve had your locks, but in the beginning stages did you have any bumps in your locs? If so, what is a good method to make the bumps go away or make their way into the loc? Yours look amazing 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I think it's normal in locs that are still maturing but I have used a crochet hook in the past to make my locs more uniform so that could work for you.

Also would you retwist without washing just to take new growth?
@@alayt12 check out my wash day routine on my channel ❤️ but I only wash my locs once a month and didn’t retwist after wash day most times.
& nah I wasn’t a fan of retwisting dirty hair 😭
