I'm absolutely floored by the solutions and the techniques the designers are coming up with these days. I really don't understand how they even think of some of these ideas. My only wish is that Speed Champions had fewer stickers. I'm currently building the 10318 Concorde and having no stickers at all is amazing.
Honestly I'm even more baffled when I'm building technic, especially the big sets. The fact you can put in a pin 100 steps ago and then it is used to attach a something else later on, I don't understand how you even begin designing something like that
I definitely understand people that find stickers to be a pain, but at the same time we need to understand that each printed element takes up inventory space, and Lego tries to keep printed elements down to pieces that are either able to be universally used or if it’s on an extremely surface like a windshield. Like could you imagine if every sticker on the BMW 2-pack was a print? That would’ve been something like 60+ parts taking up inventory that would’ve served absolutely 0 purpose outside of their original use. I understand that it can be a pain to apply them, but there is reason behind their inclusion
I've said this before, I am not a car guy, but Speed Champions is the one theme that I eagerly await every year. The combination of affordable prices and next level building techniques are what get me excited about these. And to be honest - the small size too. Big sets take up way too much space after a while. March 1st can't get here soon enough!
I couldn't care less for Mustang but man, that rear light trick is singlehandedly the definition of Speed Champions line. I would buy that thing just for that part of the build.
Definitely the standout of this March wave. The building solutions are next level and the shaping of the car next to the 6 wide is phenomenally better. Also nice to see Lego got the color match right for stickers instead of using the transparent or having the off color. Easy buy.
Oh yeeeeeah!!!! I'm a Speed Champions fan, car fan, Mustang fan, AND a RacingBrick fan! This was a fun video to watch, and now I can't wait to get my Dark Horse in hand. Thank you!!!
Chris Stamp is a true gearhead! I totally respect his effort and and I also respect your commitment to reviewing all Speed Champions sets early and detailed!
Wow! Like you, I myself thought this would be the least interesting car build wise out of the wave. Boy or boy was I wrong! The speed champions design team continues to be uncontested when it comes to finding the most bizarre, creative, and just down right perfect building solutions
Hi Balazs, your reviews are always fair and informative, thank you for your incite and dedication. it important that reviews are both positive and point out flaws, so that Lego can improve for everyone.
Thanks for breaking down the building process and sharing your feedback on the building techniques and appreciating the build instead of speed running the entire build and mindlessly yapping at the end.
As the owner of the 6th gen Mustang it certainly was the most expected set. It's even better than i expected. Amazing tricks and solutions. The gorgeous set. I can't wait to buy it.
I was planning to buy this set purely because it was a Mustang, but man it didn’t disappoint at all. Building it was really interesting and I even started questioning myself, “why can’t I think of this??” It was really fun and I can’t imagine ever feeling buyers remorse.
That is very nicely built. I'm definitely going to add that one to my collection. I would love to see that one in a larger scale. As always, your builds and opinions are greatly appreciated.
As a Speed Champions and Ford Mustang fan, this was always going to be a day one purchase for me. But the techniques used here for the complex shapes of the Dark Horse just blow my mind.
i built this with my younger cousin this vacation and the building techniques genuinely surprised me because i haven't built any System sets in years (i'm 18, 19 in two weeks). Amazing set, would recommend for anyone
as a former Mustang owner (profile pic) I just had to get this set today I agree that engineering of how they handled the upper rear brake lights is brilliant I cannot wait to build this little Pony.
I work in retail. When I opened the box to put these cars out, the Ford sticker was a surprise to me. I ended up just moving the box around for a while
I've never been a fan of Mustangs and I honestly thought this would be the first Lego speed champions (8-wide) set I wouldn't buy, but then again I would cave because I can always use more cars in my collection. However, after seeing some of the different building assemblies and the pieces that come in this set, I will probably be getting 2 or 3 of them. I love watching your videos because they reflect both the Lego consumer and the car enthusiast and you catch the details that most would miss, like the tire sizes on the formula1 cars, or the off color prints and stickers. I highly enjoy watching your videos and look forward to them every day! Keep up the good work!
I saw this at the Sydney Lego store yesterday (the biggest Lego store in the world!) but didn't pick it up... and now I regret it! What an amazing looking set.
Even though I'm not really a fan of modern Mustangs, I will say this set didn't disappoint and used some genuinely genius techniques, especially that rear assembly as you pointed out. I can only hope we'll see some older Fords too at some point since we haven't had any in the 8 stud configuration and I believe this is only the second Ford set we've had since they introduced 8 stud wide cars. Super awesome build though that's for sure
I really enjoyed the 007 Aston Martin and was blown away by the complexity of the build. I really didn’t expect so many great techniques in such a cheap set but it made me want another even though I’m not a car guy so I’ve been waiting for a car that I like to give me an excuse and this might just be it, it looks great.
Bought the set yesterday without watching this video before (was also stopped at the cash register, they had to confirm they can sell it before 01.03. haha :D ) and was blown away with the techniques inside and the build. I don't have many speed champion sets, but this one is by far the best and most interesting one I assembled even outside the speed champions lineup! Good job LEGO!
Bought and built this earlier today (a day before release, thanks to working in retail), and I loved it! Been waiting for the Dark Horse since they announced it (longer, since I had predicted it beforehand too), and it absolutely lived up to expectations!
I've been gifting speed champs sets to family and friends recently and have been waiting for a detailed build review to see if this one is a good choice for my dad. The build looks creative and fun for someone who hasn't touched lego in decades, and the stability seems fine compared to some past speed champs sets. Thanks for posting videos that detail the build and pieces so well.
I just love the fact there is no ridiculous side window sticker to make it appear as though a side window is there when it actually isn't. No this time Lego actually BUILT in everything. Also the fact that only 4 total studs are visible form top view, is just insanely impressive, clearly this could just pass for a relatively high def well designed model, the building techniques for the back lights also praise worthy.
I’m not a fan of speed champion sets, but Speed champions is reslly good at the building techniques. No one can’t achieve the amount of SNOT techniques in it, not even me 1:47 also has that bracket been in other sets before or is it brand new for 2024?
I got this one along with the audi, the audi being to "favorite" when I saw them online. But oh boy. This one was both the favorite one to build and to look at. Even thought notKenblocks`s cars is also awesome. That backside. That was so awesome to build.
I initially wanted this set only because the color would look nice among my other Speed Champions cars. Now I want it for the color and the build experience!
I was underwhelmed when the March release was announced, and initially said that I wouldn't purchase any, but I did just buy the last one... the Mustang! New parts, new build techniques... what's not to love!
thanks for reviewing this set Belash (sorry if i spelled ur name wrong) because of ur reviews i think im gonna get the set thanks a lot and keep up the good work!
I Loved the Creator Mustang set, hated the speed champions sets for their scales and build qualities. At least; for a while. One day me and my brother were lego set hunting and he found this set for me. He knew I liked Muscle cars and suggested me to check it out. i was hesitant at first but nonetheless intrigued by it. I eventually ran back down the shelf to pick it up and ran back to the till before we left the walmart. i got home, built it, and I STILL Hated it. I was actively following the real car scene at the time too. But this set was how I found out Ford was releasing a new Stang this year. Knowing that, I was kinda pleased I had the car in my posesssion in some form. Over time it grew on me. I'd add my own mods to it of course to make it look just a bit better to my taste. Over even more time, I'd eventually start collecting more sets. I've come to appreciate these little cars by just how much the Lego team has adapted the source materials design into Lego with so much limitations and the scale. It's kinda neat honestly. I finally get it now. this is probably my favourite car out of the Speed champions line.
That's another cool build, but it blows my mind how square the shape of the windshield and roof are still in those sets - if they made some slanted pieces just for this, this model would look a lot better.
I too thought this set would be pretty blaaa, now wow just wow. Great review and I’m glad too hear your excitement over this set. It just moved up my list of what to get first hehe. Take care
This great (gushing) review confirms my initial impression that the Mustang was going to be the "dark horse" (pun intended) of all the current vehicle releases. It's the only one I wanted to get my hands on from the day it was announced. And you seem to share my enthusiasm. It looks great and seems to be filled with excellent and brick-built shaping solutions. Honestly I was not expecting the rear lights to be printed or brick-built. I think I can do without most of the other stickers (except the front grille probably). This littel gem of a set really ticks ALL my boxes of what I expect in a Lego set, and all that at a price level that puts Icons and Creator Expert and Ideas sets to shame. (Man, and I bet that it will look great when standing next to the gorgeous 10265 classic Mustang - maybe in a forced perspective photograph...) This is the kind of set that Speed Champions head designer (Chris Somebody; don't recall his name) would be so enthusiastic about in some of last year's videos. BTW, are you still in touch with him?
PS I also own that small 6 studs wide blue Mustang with white racing stripe, as well as the other 6 studs wide green and black version. But I have modified both of those: the first with a big air intake and on the second I got rid of all the numbers and logos to turn it into a cool "Bullitt" version...
Really happy that Lego didn’t give thos one the same treatment as the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 where they had studs on the top, instead of just flattening out the top. Props to Lego for this one!

I al ready did👍

I’m reading your comment 3h later. I hope you’ve finished Concorde!
I’ve got one thing to say for you bro: DO NOT make a single mistake cuz it’s impossible to fix
I want the Lego Concorde soooooo badly
the comparison with the old 6 stud wide version was way funnier than it should have been
FACTS:
1. This build did not disappoint.
2. This video did not disappoint.
3. This line did not disappoint.
100% correct
couldnt agree more
The fact that they include two printed 1x6 parts for the back, and it’s built in a way that cleverly reuses it. This is a must buy! Just pure genius!
I so enjoy hearing your voice when you get excited about the set
That taillight solution is GENIUS. That's superb!
That looks better than i thought! 😳
I've said this before, I am not a car guy, but Speed Champions is the one theme that I eagerly await every year. YESSSS we’re getting the speed champions reviews
Easy buy.
The interior is so gorgeous!
Always waiting for your review for a building process instead of watching other youtube channels! The excitement just hits different
So real
The old 6-stud Mustang is one of my favorite SC sets of all time, and seeing incredible building techniques in this one, i must get this one too!
I heavily modded mine to be 8 studs wide, no stickers. It looks gorgeous and I love it.
Wow nice surprise! Didn’t like it in the reveal either, but now I’ll probably get it! Thx for the great reviews!
Waiting to build this beauty too 😎
Oh yeeeeeah!!!!
Tak!
Just bought it today and built it up. Fantastic little past time. Definitely would recommend it for fellow Mustang enthusiasts
This mustang dark horse and the audi e tron are my favorites
Wow! Like you, I myself thought this would be the least interesting car build wise out of the wave. Boy or boy was I wrong! The speed champions design team continues to be uncontested when it comes to finding the most bizarre, creative, and just down right perfect building solutions
This is the one I've been waiting for !! Love the color and the new mustang design !!
Hi Balazs, your reviews are always fair and informative, thank you for your incite and dedication. it important that reviews are both positive and point out flaws, so that Lego can improve for everyone.
Great review, That was a surprise, I didn't expect to be that good.
The speed champions of 2024 are surprisingly good
the set i wanted the less and after finished it, its one of my favorite ! one of the best speed champions so far !
I was planning to buy this set purely because it was a Mustang, but man it didn’t disappoint at all. Building it was really interesting and I even started questioning myself, “why can’t I think of this??” It was really fun and I can’t imagine ever feeling buyers remorse.
This video has completely turned my opinion on the set. Definitely something I'll be picking up once it releases
That is very nicely built. I'm definitely going to add that one to my collection. I would love to see that one in a larger scale. As always, your builds and opinions are greatly appreciated.
I KNEW you gonna like these building techniques when I saw earlier reviews and speed builds of this set!
Amazing set, would recommend for anyone
the dark blue is so beautiful
as a former Mustang owner (profile pic) I just had to get this set today I agree that engineering of how they handled the upper rear brake lights is brilliant I cannot wait to build this little Pony.
I work in retail. When I opened the box to put these cars out, the Ford sticker was a surprise to me. I ended up just moving the box around for a while
I've never been much of a Mustang fan but this looks cool, I think I need this one.
You are one of the best Lego reviewers there are, I appreciate a lot your reviews the make a bit difference
i love your videos!
Just built this today and my reaction was the same - Lego did some serious magic building techniques on this speed champion! Great review !!
its an amazing set. I bought it yesterday, I just love it.Also, nice review
I've never been a fan of Mustangs and I honestly thought this would be the first Lego speed champions (8-wide) set I wouldn't buy, but then again I would cave because I can always use more cars in my collection. Fantastic to hear how good this set is! Will prob be a day 1 pick-up for me it sounds like!
I wish I could give this video and this set two thumbs up each!
Even though I'm not really a fan of modern Mustangs, I will say this set didn't disappoint and used some genuinely genius techniques, especially that rear assembly as you pointed out.

Super awesome build though that's for sure
Your energy in this video is amazing. Cannot wait to buy this set!

Ayo bro this set might be the best of these 4 speed champions
sets coming out in March
I love that this came in blue but if black or red was also an option that would be sick
Bought the set yesterday without watching this video before (was also stopped at the cash register, they had to confirm they can sell it before 01.03. haha :D ) and was blown away with the techniques inside and the build. i think this is your first review without a bad comment, and ive been watching you for over a year
"Bad comment" is called constructive criticism in my dictionary, and most sets deserve them
I just love the fact there is no ridiculous side window sticker to make it appear as though a side window is there when it actually isn't. No this time Lego actually BUILT in everything. Also the fact that only 4 total studs are visible form top view, is just insanely impressive, clearly this could just pass for a relatively high def well designed model, the building techniques for the back lights also praise worthy.
Love your detailed building reviews! This set is gonna find its way to my home somehow
Just picked this up yesterday. I've been out of the loop and it looks like you get your money's worth with the brick count on this one.
This is a instant buy, with some new techniques, wish to see a Charger Hellcat, Challenger Demon or Camaro ZL1 in 8 studs wide like this Dark Horse
I’m not a fan of speed champion sets, but Speed champions is reslly good at the building techniques. No one can’t achieve the amount of SNOT techniques in it, not even me
1:47 also has that bracket been in other sets before or is it brand new for 2024?
This was an incredible review! I was super excited for this set to come out and hearing your praise just makes me want to buy it more!!!
I only own two Speed Champions set so far, but man do they have great building techniques and cool new parts!
Such amazing building techniques.
Another great detailed build! Thanks!
I agree with you I wasn't really looking at the mustang from the wave originally... till now 👀
I was underwhelmed when the March release was announced, and initially said that I wouldn't purchase any, but I did just buy the last one... the Mustang! New parts, new build techniques... what's not to love!
thanks for reviewing this set Belash (sorry if i spelled ur name wrong) because of ur reviews i think im gonna get the set thanks a lot and keep up the good work!
Thank You for the review, I'm really waiting for mini promotions for this vehicle. I love Fords, so I would really like to buy it.
Best Lego channel ❤🎉🎉
Not a big fan of Ford, but this model is one of my absolute favorite! The color and body looks awesome!
I hope they do a larger scale of this Dark Horse.
I Loved the Creator Mustang set, hated the speed champions sets for their scales and build qualities. At least; for a while. I was really excited about the Audi for this year
Now I’m almost as excited to get my hands on the dark horse
I had the same thoughts as you when I first saw it, but I'm absolutely loving it now
I’m going to my first ever Lego store on Friday. I’m super excited about it. I’ll defo be picking one of these up. Great video as always
That's another cool build, but it blows my mind how square the shape of the windshield and roof are still in those sets - if they made some slanted pieces just for this, this model would look a lot better.
I think this is my favourite one of this wave! :D
I've been waiting for it so much ❤
My first lego set of 2024 that ill get will be this one after this review!
3:35 Can't understand why Lego giving printed slope but not the most important printed grille.
I can’t wait to possibly get this set and the bmw set this weekend in aus thrn that would take me up 8 different car set since the start of this year
I too thought this set would be pretty blaaa, now wow just wow. Great review and I’m glad too hear your excitement over this set. It just moved up my list of what to get first hehe.
Take care
May get this for my birthday gift to myself today 😁
This great (gushing) review confirms my initial impression that the Mustang was going to be the "dark horse" (pun intended) of all the current vehicle releases.

But I have modified both of those: the first with a big air intake and on the second I got rid of all the numbers and logos to turn it into a cool "Bullitt" version...
I already had a good feeling about this dark blue Mustang.
i bet that this would look amazing next to the Ford GT from last year.
Thanks for the video. Maybe i will buy one, cause u got me with the colour.
Really happy that Lego didn’t give thos one the same treatment as the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 where they had studs on the top, instead of just flattening out the top. Props to Lego for this one!
Sleeper best Speed champion of this wave. I’ll replace the six stud to sit this next to the icons
the ford sticker was also used actually for the gt 2022
Had this on my wish list, after seeing the video it moved to the top.
God damn it, Balazs, now I'm buying this one too.
Love the car. Wondering why the minifig hair piece has a hole in it? This is the first time I have seen that.
Thank you so muxh i couldnt do the back of the car it helped so muxh i gave a like and subscribed
And i just finished it
Def getting this
It looks even great than the previous version✌️😊
