Caught these guys at old Spectrum in Philly same tour about a month before (anyone remember WMMR and WYSP?). Young Def Leppard opened, and Uncle Ted headlined. Met Klaus sitting on a wall by himself near the trucks after the show. Glanced at him twice not sure and he smiled and waved me over. Chatted for about 5 minutes. Couldn’t believe nobody else recognized him. Great down to earth guy who made time to chat with a stoned pimply faced 17 year old kid. Years later decided The Zoo would be my walk out song if I ever made it to the big leagues. Obviously never happened but still can’t think of a better walkout. Anyway, Klaus - thanks for the lifetime memory!
I remember this tour here in the states very well. To this day my favorite Album is Animal Magnetism. Though I have all and like every single one! Cheers from the Rockies!
Had the pleasure of seeing Scorpions in the mid 80's and one thing I'll never forget about that show as when it was over, all 5 members left it all on the stage, they just gave everything they had and this was just a random show in Worcester, MA, not filmed, not some big festival, but every fan there was treated like it was the last show of the tour.

Damn bro I was there that night too with my cousin and I will never forget this show due to the lineup it was freaking great when Def Leppard was actually really playing some good rock ‘n’ roll and hear the scorpions kicking ass and then my crazy madman Ted Nugent come swinging out on a Vine. My cousin and I were there that night here in Houston Texas at the summit the first band with Def Leppard they’re very first album all through the night and then the scorpions came out which they just kicked ass my cousin and I still talk about this concert to this day and we’re in our 50s and then madman ted Nugent came out swinging on a vine with his big Gibson guitar hanging off his back. We forgot which concert promoter was doing these rock tours in Texas 1979-1980 (Pace Concerts?!),but at that time the shows were crazy good double or triple-bills. They rolled through west Texas eventually and the best venue for sound was in Midland. AC/DC w Bon in 1979,also Van Halen. This Scorpions tour plus Heart's Bebe Le Strange dates. BOC,Blackfoot,ZZ Top and more...The Scorpion's were the highlight. Good times in Texas🤘
Scorps though not thrash metal kicked your arse just so many killer heard rock riffs and this is a prime example and what clever chord! Awesome performance like usual they never let you down on stage!
