- No band on this blue earth combines all the different musical influences into something so unique as Cradle of Filth. They did not care if the song turned to be over 7 minutes - it needed to be that long - f the rest.
The Cruelty and the Beast album is a favourite of mine. Among their top 3 in my opinion, along with Dusk.. and Vampire.
This cover has some improvisation included, with respect to the original.
This song was a request by @balrogDCLXVI . Man, I told you I'd look into it LOL. Thanks for the suggestion! It was fun making it and put me once again in the CoF rabbit hole!!! 😂😂🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🍻🍻🍻
Sincere congratulations and much respect to my bassworld brother @rainbowsludge660 for his joining @EnumaElishGilgamesh . Crush them all brother!!!!!
Gear used:

The immense Robin played it with the plectrum 😂...
You're simply The Best!!.
First of all, thank you! These kind words mean a lot to me! I play both pick and fingerstyle. I chose to play this one fingerstyle, because it felt better to me. I do not regard that playing with a pick is any easier though. It's just a different tone and feel. If done correctly, it has many positives. Cheers!!🤘🤘🤘🤘
Interesting choice of a cover song from Cradle of Filth. This was the first album of theirs I had ever purchased back in the late 90s and loved it a lot. Well done 👏
Thank you so much! My first of them was Vampire - Cruelty and Dusk followed shortly after. Such great albums! Couldn't get enough of them! The memorable melodies and the complex symphonic tunes did it for me. 🤘🤘🍷🍷🍷
Thanks man for mentioning me, truly an honour! Instant like of course, already before watching!😀
Of course! It was your suggestion after all! I enjoyed it so much - the little extra licks as well. I hope I did not disappoint... 👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘
@morbidalex666 Just perfect, as always🤘
Good to know, man!! Thanks again!!🙏🙏🍷🍷🍷🤘🤘🤘
Late to this one. Sick as usual and doing justice to one of the best tracks/albums ever made, Mr. Eaglestone would be proud. A cover of Baphomet’s Valley Of The Dead next would be awesome.
Or Mr. Eaglestone would slap me in the face and then order me to play with a pick🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the nice words, man! I appreciate it so much! Can't promise about the Baphomet - I'll surely look into it, though!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Hahaha wouldn’t know about those technicalities (drummer here), but sounded pretty dope to me regardless. And as for the request, either that one or Sarcófago’s Piercings would be great 🤘🤘
@@AphoticExcruciator Hey, a drummer watching bass covers! I can relate - I watch drum covers all the time!😃😃😃😃 I'll check out Sarcofago 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Great
Thanks man! For the support, too!🙏🙏🍷🍷🍷🤘🤘🤘
No WAY😍😍😍MY GIRLFRIENDS FAVORITE FROM COF!!!! Ps: I really did enjoy, too🇫🇮☠️🔥
So glad you both enjoyed it!! You have to give props to CoF. Their music, especially back then, was really something! Such great melodies and beautifully constructed songs🤘🤘🤘🍷🍷🍷
@morbidalex666 Very true🔥 And your skill covering these epic songs is very enjoyable☠️🤘Let there be more - we will be watching and listening❤️
Strong right hand bro, gj
Hey, thanks! I appreciate it!🤘🤘🤘🙏🙏
I love that record! Great job bro
I practically worn the CD down to being unplayable, back in the day - such a great album!! Thanks, man!
Great cover! Good tone, to be honest you outperform Robin not a little :D What technique do you use for the fast 16th notes parts?
I only pay tribute to the music I love! I will always look up to the musicians that originally played it - not looking to outperform them. I understand that you mean well and I thank you for your kind words! 🙏🙏 The technique is the 3 finger plucking that Alex Webster and Billy Sheehan are masters of. Straight 3-2-1-3-2-1 etc. Search Alex Webster and 3 finger technique - get it from the master 🤘🤘🤘🤘
