I give this box a 4 and split leaf philodendron maybe? I always say if I don’t laugh at life I’ll cry and I’d rather be happy 😂
I would give it a 5. Oh how I love a novelty fabric. Raccoons, pugs, narwhals, jackalopes . . . But anything adorable on fabric I want 😂
Hi Holly! This box was pretty. I give it a 4. ❤ I don’t collect novelty fabrics but I do collect certain designer’s fabrics.
I see the artichokes!
I love BATIKS. I already have this box a 5🎉
Hello Holly, looking lovely as always. The fabric from Cotton Cuts is beautiful 😍, I give the box a 5. I collect Tinkerbell fabrics, other than that, I'm with you it has to speak to me. Thank you for sharing, until next time......
Wow! A solid 5. I don’t subscribe to this box, but today’s collection has me thinking.
I agree it’s a 5. Love all the fabric. Lastly I have been drawn to bee fabric. I do not collect any just buy what inspires me. Right now I am working on Christmas quilts.
Beautiful fabric, 5. The leaf, I believe, is a monstera.
Hello Holly! The batiks are beautiful. Fabric? I have some Laura Birch fabrics I can’t use up. I hope I spelled her name correctly. But mostly I just buy what grabbed me. The box is a 5. Thanks for what you do.
Cotton Cuts-5/5 I love batiks
I’m not a novelty print person but I understand people like them😊
Beautiful batiks! I loved them I thought all my favorite quilts are ones with batiks. I would give the box a 5. Collect a lot of Christmas fabrics.
Beautiful fabric! 5 across the board!
Not a big fan of novelty prints. Love the beautiful colors of these Cotton. Cots Batiks! 5
I just love the box. The colors are beautiful. I give it a 5/5.😊
Wow! That’s so beautiful and a 5 in my opinion!
Love Batiks it's a 5. Baby animals. My granddaughter loves them.
Batiks are my favorite fabrics to quilt with. Beautiful box!
My Vote:
Want it? 5
Price vs. Value? 5
Great box 5. No, I don’t collect any certain fabric. Just usually buy what I like.
Love the fabrics. 5/5.
❤❤❤ i loved 75% of the fabric. But with the dark you need some light. 🎉 Flowers for Holly and Tom. Im so excited for fall.
Beautiful, but just due to personal preference, 4. I don't collect any particular kind of print. Too many niche hobbies and likes. I just buy something when I like it.
5/5 gorgeous! I always love batiks though. I am not really a novelty fabric person!
OK, that box is a 5 - love, love batiks! Do I collect novelty prints - ha ha! UFOs, spaceships, cryptids (have you seen the national park line that has all the bigfoot and alien panels? I have multiples!!). I'm also fond of owls, moons, anything Halloween and horses. And then cows for daughter #2, ducks (daughter #1), dragons (son #1) and bugs (son #2). Oh, let's be real - I collect anything that calls to me - I'm a fabric hoarder!
Beautiful colors! A 5 for me!
Good morning Holly!☕️💜 I am happy for your choice to remain positive and happy, I have different circumstances but I choose to find my joy each day. The fabric is beautiful, I think the leaf is a Monstera (I may not have spelled that correctly? LOL) I think the box is a 5! I don’t collect certain fabrics but like you dandelions do grab my attention. They are an amazing plant, health wise and the logo for my consulting business. ☺️ Thank you!!
5 for sure. I don’t collect anything special, but if I found fabric with a Border Collie, I’d grab it.
Love the batiks, 5! I collect foxes, I may have too many juvenile fabric cuts, but love me some foxes.❤
5 for me..... I love Batiks. I see a quilt coming from you out of this palette. They nailed it!
Beautiful garden print with butterflies and dragonflies? Love you too! 💜 💜😊
xo
I don’t use batiks anymore, but this is a nice collection of pretty fabrics with a nice matching thread. 4 I don’t collect fabrics but I love a wide variety and also buy what speaks to me. Hi from my dog!
The big open leafed plant is elephant ears. You want a plant that takes over an entire room or outdoor space. That is your plant. They are gorgeous.I didn't see an artichoke in the first material. I saw the flower, ranuculus. What do I collect....30s fabrics with little kids and and rheir toys and nursery rhyme characters. Ooh and Jack, Jane, and Judy. Years ago they came out with them and the scenes from the primers. I then collected novelty fabric to match like Jack's, letters written in chalk , numbers, arithmetic, toys, etc. I have quite the collection. I believe I have come up wuth a way to use the yardage.. I have 4 different book stories and a Christmas one.
When presented with challenges we can take 2 paths. The low path is wallowing in self pity and whining and the world is cruel, so I am mad and sad. Or we take the high road and meet the challenge head on and keep on walking with our heads up and all smiles.
Have a glorious day everyone.
Batiks aren't my thing, but this box was really nice. It's a 4 for me.
Hi Holly, love these batiks, I give it a 5 x
Those are beautiful. Wow. I give this box a 5/4
Hi Holly, I'm sure I am the only one in here who doesn't like batiks. I did like the one with the navy background and the teal leaves. I think the reason I don't like batiks is because I am not a fan of whirls and swirls and crazy designs. No, I don't collect any novelty type of fabric. I give this box a 4. See you next time.
Gorgeous batiks!
Hello Holly my friend. How are you today? I'm great, I have Lupus however., it doesn't define either.❤
Morning Charolett. In all honesty, I'm having a rough few days, but they will pass. Today will be a rest day. xo
I love batiks, and I love those colors, so I am a little biased when voting on this box. 5:5.
Dear Holly...... Monstera leaves ( Swiss cheese plant) I believe. I love batiks! I tend to buy them and then hoard them! So that box is a 5 for me.
Thanks for the identification!!
I give that a four. I prefer to have the pattern provided in the box and not have to download as I have major issues with internet and purchasing ink for my printer.
This box is a 4 for me. I like batiks, but these are sort of dull. I used to collect dragon fly fabrics.
I love batiks so a 5 for me!
Definitely a 5 out of 5! I love the color combo in this set!! I collect hippo prints... I only have like 6 but that is ok. I collect novelty fabrics in smaller scale for ispy quilts in general.
Didn't Tula Pink do a hippo?
I love Cotton Cuts! Yes, 5 across the board!
I see zebras in the jungle print with those leaves.
wonderful box to receive, I'm sure you will make something beautiful
Holly. When you said tell your dog I said hi it reminded me of a shirt I ordered for my son. It said “tell your cat I said psp psp psp”. He loves cats and loved the shirt. 🐈🐈⬛😹
Totally lost it this morning when I read this! 🤣😂😂
No I don't like novelty prints.
Very pretty. 5
5 is right
put that light one you are not sure of next to the brown and with the blue you are not sure of and see if new colors pop. those plants are philodendron . nice box give it a 5. i collect fabric with scotty dogs or black cats 😝
Great idea my color guru!
It’s a 5.
I give it a 5.
Holly, those are some beautiful batiks!!!
I also saw a hint of pink/blush in 2 of those pcs.!
We each have so many blessings in such different ways. It’s so much easier to turn that frown upside down=a smile😀😀😀. No matter our circumstances let us each be a blessing to each other.
I have been meaning to ask you- how is your sticker journal coming? Any progress? Of course who wants to sticker when you can sew😝, just so many interests??!!??🤪
I wish this wierdo could be your not unpicked, I’m a master of that🧐😝🤣
Novelty prints-not as of yet!
X n O ❤️😀
I forgot all about the sticker journal until I was rearranging cupboards and found it. Added a few more. It was fun to go back and look at them.
Hi Holly! Box is a 5/5! Dragonflies are my dandelions so I collect fabric and many other things with dragonflies.
Cute squirrel!
Happiness is a decision. I'm glad you're happy! Have an awesome day!
I say that all the time....happiness is a choice. xo
Hi Holly,
As you know Batiks are my favorite. And these colors really make me happy. I give this box a 5/5.
XOXO
Carol from down the street
5 for this box. I loved everything in it. I’m a bit of a sucker for Halloween fabric.
4 batiks are growing on me. I appreciate your attitude of gratitude. :) i fell out of my sewing chair a couple of days ago and i dont have Parkinsons. :) stupid wheels. I dont collect novelty prints but i am drawn to cats. \\\\\\\\\\\\\
All the best wishes!
5 absolutely!!! I love batiks.I don’t consciously collect anything in particular. But I do end up with a lot of florals.
Holly bless you and your positive attitude at life. Very nice box. I give it a 5. I like baticks just do not have any YET!! 😊
I’m not a fan of batiks so this box is just ehhh for me. I do however love the pencil and thread! lol. What makes me happy is my youngest grandson, almost 13, STILL hugs me tight and often and still lets me kiss his chubby cheeks and feel his freshly cut hair! He’s not shy about it around anyone, even his friends! I give this box a 3. xo. Have a fantabulous day!!
Batiks are not my favorite but these are lovely and in a color palette that works for me. I would give this box a 4.5 . I collect fabrics with birds and butterflies that I can use for broderie perse applique.
I had to look up that term -- beautiful images! Looks like it would be relaxing to play with fabric and color in this way.
I give this box a 4.5. I would have liked to see a picture of the download pattern.
I don't collect any novelty type fabric. In fact, I avoid them 😅
Definitely a 5 for me! I love batiks and these colors are gorgeous! I don't collect any fabric novelty. Have a great day!❤
Oh, and, I forgot to tell you, I would give that box a 4. The reason being is it all it had was Fabric and a pencil and it wasn’t a real good bargain on the fabric. If someone else is going to choose my Fabric. It has to be at a bargain price that’s just my rule. What do I collect? Well, I do like some Christmas fabrics. And I do like the boutiques and I do you have a nice selection of 30’s Prince. But right now I am collecting reds to make a nice red and white quilt. I love your short stories about how blessed you are. You never mentioned anything like big house or find cars or plenty of money in the bank. I think you must have your priorities in order because you do love your grandchildren so very much as most of us do.
Not a total fan of batik! I give the box a 3. I love Gnomes and Faries. Have a lot more embroidery patterns with them than fabrics. Hope you have a good day. See you next video.
Thank you for the video. I give it a 4. I don’t sew with batiks. I once collected light houses and trains, then it was animals. Now it is civil war or war is beautiful Have a good day 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Holly, you have a very good out look on life. I try to do the same. I have problems with walking and what have you. I'm right handed and a couple of years ago, my cat bit my hand from side to side and practically destroyed it, but it does still work somewhat. At that same time I couldn't even stand on my own two feet. I had back surgery and now I can walk with the use of a walker. I try to look for the good in things. Yesterday I fell in my living room when I was turning around. The good part of that was I didn't get hurt and I was able to get to my feet by myself. Add all that to being 80 years old and you have to look for the little things. With that said, I am sending Light and Love to All of Us. ❤🙏❤
From Holly's assistant: all the best wishes to you!
There are a couple of batiks in this box that aren't the best for me. To be fair, my experience sewing with them is limited, and they are still batiks! Box is 4. Currently my search is for cats and cuter modern holt obsession. And adorable urban kitty style for the holidays,
I love batiks. These colors are so great! I have alwys hated fat quarters because they fold them up so tightly, and they are so hard to iron out the wrinkles. I give the box a 5. I love your happiness. Thank you for sharing yourself with me.
Fabric, you call feathers looks to me like ferns especially in a jungle themed collection. And then the teal fabric that you said I should know the name of this plant well, it’s a split leaf philodendron. The leaves are very big and they make nice part of her plants.
I collect chicken fabric.
From Holly's assistant: Have you made a chicken block or quilt? There are some free and for sale ones out there.
A beautiful bundle of delight. I give this box a 5.
Not a batik fan, but so glad you love what you received!
I vote 4 as there are too many brown pieces for me. I do not collect novelty fabrics. Most of my scraps are some shade of blue.😊🧡💛
This one is a 4…I like some of the FQs and not others but the value is really packed in this box!
I give this 4/4.
Love them. 5's for me
I tend to collect grape and wine themed prints. They make me happy!
I loved them a lot. I give it a 5. I love butterfly fabric.
4 for me
I love Batiks too, Holly! It's a 5-5 for me. :)
5!! I loved this fabric!
I give this a 4
Holly, there was no glare today. I could see your eyes, when the glare is really bad then I can’t see your eyes!! Weird! I give it a 4 liked 2 of the ones you didn’t like. I looked up that color as I just bought a chocolate Aurifil and this one looked lighter. Your thread is called CAFE AU LAIT!!
Squirrels, 🐿️ my backyard everyday. They pick oranges off neighbors tree sit on brick wall eat them and we get the skins! Thanks Holly love you 🥰 ❤🤗
😂
I give this a 5
Good morning and a pleasant Wednesday to all! My view on happiness is if you wait for great, big, amazing things to happen, you're going to be miserable, but if you find joy in the little things - well, those add up to a big happiness, don't they?
This is a wonderful selection of what I think of as "soft" colors. Most of them are reminiscent of things in nature. The artichokes are obvious, of course, and the brown one after that is like the dried grasses on the hillsides of a California summer. The one you called crumpled paper makes me think of lichens and Spanish moss and kelp, so beautiful. Then there's the "matrix" piece, which is like looking out the window on a gloomy, rainy day, with grey clouds, subdued lighting, and bright raindrops running down the glass. The pale sort of grey/blue that was right after the brown one is snow flurries carried along by a crisp winter wind. We have elephant ears growing in both our front and back yards, so it was delightful to see them included as a fabric. And then you've got the contrast of that one geometric (in green and cream!!!) to go with all the nature-inspired designs, love it love it love it!
I think the price is a little high, and I don't care for the BOM. However there's no denying (for me, anyway) that every single piece of fabric as well as the thread is absolutely beautiful. It's a very well-curated collection for sure, and I cannot in good conscience give it anything less than full marks. *5 out of 5* and well earned at that.
Do I collect a particular novelty fabric? I'm....not sure how to answer that. When I started sewing again, I bought a lot of novelty prints, and while I still love them, I'm trying to limit myself to more grown up patterns. Too many of my projects looked like they belonged in a kid's room. That being said, I have a tendency to buy canine-centric fabrics: dogs, paw prints, and even just "woof" "bow wow" and the like written all over it. If I gave myself free rein, I'd have a ton more of them, as well as lemons, and chickens. I don't know why, but I just find lemons and chickens to be delightful. So I guess the answer is, "No, but only through sheer determination not to do so."
From Holly's assistant: Have you made a chicken block or quilt? I know there are some free and for sale patterns out there.
@@Holly.QuiltRedCarpet I'm not a big quilter, so no blocks, but I did make a scissors cozy & a boxed bag with chicken-print fabrics, and recently one of those little triangular chicken pincushions :-)
Thanks!
Thank you!!! xo
5,5
I give this box 4 and 4.
