Definitely. He gave her $600 as her gift but then wants her to read his mind and spend it all on him... So if she'd done what he wanted she wouldn't have gotten anything from him but he would've spent $600 on himself? That's some seriously messed up bs. Then add in him cruelly berating and blaming her, and him acknowledging that he's aware it'd look bad if he just bought it for himself. What an absolutely disgusting excuse for a man/husband/human.
I've literally changed my baby on a bathroom floor before. There's a reason why you take your own changemat in diaper bags. It's so you can provide a clean space for your baby. This lady is just insane
That and, if that were me, I would've just taken some paper towels and washed the changing table/countertop and dried it myself. I've years of foodservice experience, I know how to keep it clean. Definitely report anything not on the menu to your health department. That family sabotaged OPs restaurant, deliberately. They were purposefully callous toward the restaurant and have crushed their own consciences to the point they don't feel them anymore. I fear for the EP's child, they're going to be raised to be morally obtuse and continue the cycle...
My diaper bag came with a change mat as well (and so did the majority of the ones i saw online) so unless the bathroom is a legitimate biohazard there's no excuse for that behavior
Ikr My brother and his wife have separate changing mats in their cars just in case. And they give themp to me/my mom if we watched the kids. We also have one resevre here for when they slept here during the night.
Story 2 - If they had paid with a card, I would have gotten that information from the receipts as well as the camera footage and gone to the cops. That's literal health code violations and biohazard level contamination, they both would face fines and probation at the least if not full-on jail time.
Agreed. I'd have had the police on the phone the moment that I saw what had been done and would have done everything that I could, to identify those people. Local news might also have been interested in the story and you have no expectation of privacy when in a place frequented by the public.
You should never let people get away with things like that, the manager should have called the police and got them prosecuted. Even without credit card details, facial recognition technology can often work wonders, and people who behave like this will no doubt be known to the police. People like this should not be walking free.
They didn't really say "no kids" I would have started with asking them "I thought you were getting a sitter?" Followed by "since you did not notify me of the child coming with you to our party you can't come in. "
Story 3: psycho lady is psycho and definitely deserves that ban. I'm not sure what that security guy was thinking. Story 4: what an evil man. She needs a divorce and he needs to pay alimony.
Yeah, the husband is a vile person.. She is better off alone, then with him.. 600$ only for him to buy Xmas presents?? No, what about the kids,or her? I bet he didn't buy anything for her.. He is a*using her financially and mentally.. I think she's so used to it, that she doesn't see the a*use now.. Oh God, I feel so bad for her... I hope she leaves and finds happiness somewhere else...
Story 4 - OP needs to get in contact with a Divorce Attorney asap and have that jackbag husband served with Divorce papers immediately and take him for everything he has
In a good marriage it should be joint accounts. To not be given enough for hygiene products is disgusting and abuse. Poor you. Red flags 🚩. Ask yourself if you truly want to be like this for even 1 more months/year/decade.
If my partner did that and said I ruined Christmas for them, I would simply reply that it will never happen again, because I will not be here next Christmas.
OP has been conditioned to think that's normal. That's straight-up abuse! And did the husband's parents just sit there embarrassed yet not say anything? Either they enabled him, or he's a monster that abused them too.
I would probably called the police on the lady that was changing the diaper because that’s so many food safety regulation that she was breaking. Doesn’t matter if she works there, she’s still putting other peoples health at risk by getting literal shit on the table where people eat. The fact that it didn’t bother her in the slightest or at least doesn’t understand how fucking disgusting that is means she would probably do this again so a nice fine or probably a talk to by some officers might get it through her thick head
Story 2 - OMG! That’s just nasty! There’s no saving that table. I hope the boss shared the footage with every restaurants in the area as well as the police and that EM and her husband were permanently banned from that restaurant and many others.
Im disabled so I can say 100% that the wife is NOT the AH. Until I was able to get disability my husband supported me fully. Hygiene products and all. Your husband did make vows of in sickness and in health. I agree with other comments to the fact that she's being abused and needs help to get the situation to a better place, whether its counciling or divorce.
Yes, absolutely this! My husband went to the pharmacy to buy my meds, came to the hospital daily, to bring me home cooked food, so I didn't have to eat the nasty food there.. As a matter of fact, so did I, for him, when he was stabbed&robbed 10yrs ago.. I did everything I could, even when I was 8mos pregnant back then, because I love him.. Luckily he's better now, but oh my , it was a horrific time in our lives , because I thought that I'd be a widow, and have three kids to take care of ,by myself.. I'd do anything for him, as he would me.. We've been together for 23yrs, and married for 21yrs.. We married at 19&21.. And it was the best decision of my life.. He helped me get sober, and healthy again.. I used to use hard d because of childhood trauma, and I stopped using when I met him.. he said, me or the drugs.. I chose him.. I started using at 15, and had three od's at the age of 17.. I was at peace to die young, because my mom told me everyday that I'm worthless and didn't deserve anything good.. and I believed her, sadly.. When my husband saw how she treated me, he&his mom took me in,and helped me ,and for the first time in my life, I saw what love is and how it heals.. Sorry for the long story.. Hope you had an amazing holiday!
@@minnarosenqvistmrit's terrible you had to go through that. I'm happy you had him and his mom in your life. You sound like a great couple and you know you can count on each other. ❤
Exactly! My husband has been the breadwinner for over 20 years, & though we did have some fights over money, he would have NEVER denied me money for the household, or "given" me a gift that he then expected to be spent on him. My job actually results in ALOT of tip money around Christmas, & he gets upset when I DON'T spend it on something for me! That woman needs to get out of that relationship!
@@paulagoeringer9466 thank you! You seem like a sweet person, I bet we would be great friends! Hope you have a happy new year, and a better year than the last! I do wish I would! Sending you lots of love and positive vibes! I wish I could spread happiness to everyone, but I can't, so I rather try to send positive vibes and thoughts.. And even though I'm Christian, I don't like saying "I'll pray for you", because sometimes people don't like it at all.. hugs to you Paula !🥰❤️❤️
We threw a New Year’s party once and told everyone that no children were allowed. So if they showed up with kids they would be denied or had to pay our daughters $100 for each kid to babysit. Two showed up with kids and thought that we were joking. We asked if they had money to pay for babysitting and they said no. We said happy new years while closing the door in their faces. Next New Year no one brought a kid with them because they knew what to expect. The party was awesome and everyone had a great time. We had to send some of the drunk party participants home in taxis because this was decades before Uber was a thing.
Last Story: Turn them away. It is impolite show up with uninvited guests (especially children), so it's well within the hosts right to turn them away at the door. They KNEW in advance the party was child-free and should have made arrangements. If those arrangements fell through, then they should have stayed home.
OP in the third story needs to check in with a good lawyer about the chance of suing the lying crazy thieving woman for pain and suffering, emotional trauma, AND the cost of getting AND PAYING someone to put up the Christmas decorations OP bought for their mom. I am sure the provincial plan doesn't cover those costs.
Story 3: honestly, regardless how a situation looks, managers and security should go in neutral and wait until the situation gets explained. Because that’s how the innocent get even more harmed and how the guilty get away scott free
Story 2 - if the cameras happened to catch the crappy parents' license tag, the police could provide info to charge those people for the price of the table and a charge of disturbing the peace. I'm sure the police could come up with several other charges.
There has to be a charge for creating a Hazmat situation in a public eating place! And that ghastly mess they happily and purposely made was pure criminal spite and vandalism! 😡
Seems like a compelling case for aggravated criminal damage (criminal damage bc of the vandalism/destruction of property, aggravated bc of intent), which depending on the state would be a pretty serious felony
it is, plus it is a biohazard law which she can face numerous fines that includes destruction of property, defacing property and breaching public health and safety.
@@loganthomas3575 Where I live, destruction and defacing property are both classified under the criminal damage statute, but what she did plus the fact that it was at a business would pretty much automatically make it way more serious.
Oh no, there's no way I would have done all of that to accommodate someone who decided to bring a baby to an adult party. They would have been asked to leave before they even got in the door.
When it comes to people like the couple in the second story, filing criminal charges, posting the security videos to social media, and calling them "Typhoid Mary" to their face.
Story #3: The Entitled woman fainted after hearing that OP wanted her Perma-banned?! 😂 Wow, what a shocker! But seriously, I have this feeling that the Crazy Lady and Security Guard are either related and done something like this before. Judging by their reactions, they didn't think they both would get caught.
Story 2 - I've been unfortunate enough to witness this in person. Several years back I stopped in to my local McDonald's late one night. It was a gas station with a McDonald's taking up the other half of the building. The store shared a bathroom with the gas station so it didn't have its own but there was one available regardless. Anyway when I got there it was empty save for one guy with his two kids. I order, get my food, and eat. After I've finished I just hung around for a bit longer when I suddenly notice the guy sit his youngest on the table they were JUST eating at and proceeds to change the kid's poopy diaper right there while the other kid was finishing up their food. To make matters more disgusting after changing the diaper he goes on over to the drink station and proceeds to use the water dispenser tab on it to wash his hands. The father then gathers up his kids and leaves the garbage and the diaper right there on the table along with a huge mess of fries and junk all over the floor. I told the staff what happened before I left. Some people are so disgusting.
Had the adults that gave the Christmas party suddenly lost the ability to talk? People do not get taken advantage of unless they let it happen. All they had to do is stay at the door and politely tell these clueless fools that the party was for adults only. By not doing that they ruined the party not only for them but for all their other guests too.
Story 1 - ‘You can’t bring personal equipment into a store’… Are you effing kidding me?! That’s the most idiotic thing I’ve ever heard. I have no doubt that Karen was trying to steal OP’s chair because she didn’t want to use the stores scooter.
Just like a story awhile back where a rabid Karen tried to steal a disabled child's fancy customized powered wheelchair, obviously not store equipment. 😮
@@stuartwalker9597 Yeah but considering these stories play out mostly the same, I have to call bs on a lot of them, there are crazy stories that are plausible, but this one doesn't feel that way
The story about OP's husband yelling at her for buying the cheapest thing on his list gets on my nerves. I never expect anyone to spend a ton of money on me for Christmas, I'm just happy for the thought. This year I got $25, a chocolate orange, some other candies, and I was happy. Granted I spent a fair amount of money on other things for my parents and niece, and bought stuff for my self. If I had a spouse who spent even a tiny bit of money on me for Christmas, I would not care because having her in my life is enough for me. OP should look into getting some form of income and possibly even a separation from the guy.
There was a viral video of a mother getting caught changing her baby on top of a full clothing display table, of I believe some jumpers/sweaters and the woman had to pay for several dozen pieces of soiled clothing.
What the restaurant should have done in that second story was charged their credit card for that table. I can guarantee that family was too stupid to realize that they should have paid in cash so they most likely used a debit or credit card. So it would have been very easy to go into the computer system and pull their credit card information.
As much as I approve of this, legally speaking I doubt they could get away with it and may face problems with the authority. More trouble and money than it might be worth for their business. But on the other hand they'd be able to get in contact with the Karen and her husband to properly sue them for damages. It may not play in their favor though for the theft portion.
🤬🤬🤬 *Story 5* *Oh boy howdy! THIS... REALLY PISSES ME OFF!* *I taught both of my sons, from the time they crawled, what they could and could not get into! They knew to NEVER go to someone else's house and get into anything! Let alone a person's bedroom!* *Man... Some people should NEVER pro-create!*
Story 4 - OP IS ABSOLUTELY NTA!!!! Her husband is an abusive AH and a monster. OP needs to get a lawyer and get herself and the kids away from that monster ASAP!
Last story: It’s hard to feel sorry for OP when they don’t say anything. It’s not difficult to tell someone, “this is an adult party. You need to watch your kid. Ah, no you don’t tape up cabinets. Stay out of my bedroom. Go home. “
When my kids were babies I had a travel changing pad and had no issue with sitting on the floor to change them. Not even once even with my oldest did poop end up even on the changing pad unless you count that one time I accidentally put one of them in a diaper that was too small and they had a blow out. People can be so nasty.
Story 2: What kind of parent doesn't carry changing pads with them wherever they go? The whole reason changing pads exist is so that you don't get crap all over the place when you're changing your kid's diaper. If you're not prepared to take care of your kid, don't eat out until they're old enough to use a toilet.
Story 2: What is wrong with these people?! Having a baby means keeping things clean and sanitary needs to be a priority so the baby in question doesn't get sick. And they threw all that out the window. I mean they made no attempt to protect the table. And it doesn't sound like they washed their hands between smearing poo/trash everywhere and then touching their baby. I am VERY concerned for that kid.
About the last story, since the guests with their crotch goblin were not educated enough to ask if they could bring their result of orgasm with them, why did OP and her husband had to pull up with the situation?!? Once on their door step, OP and hubby should have told them «Sorry, but it’s an adults party. The interior is simply NOT childproof. You should have asked before coming!» What happened is the result of a lack of backbone from OP and hubby.
I don't think it's fair to blame the 1 year old. They are an actual baby. It's really the parents and the hosts fault. The parents because they are rude and inconsiderate and the hosts for allowing them to stay. Like seriously let's put the blame where it's due
@@annabaker4150 where did you see that I accused the kid in the story?! I completely agree with you! The parents are to be blamed to impose their crotch goblin to OP and her guests.
@@jo-annbastings you called it a crotch goblin. That's an insulting term for children. You could have just called it a baby. Or something else. I don't mind that if the kid is old enough to actually be at fault but come on, it's a 1 year old... Oh and result of orgasm, also an insulting term for a baby.
@@jo-annbastings look it up. It's considered an offensive term. Just because a few people don't agree doesn't change the fact that it is. Having an opinion that is opposite of the truth doesn't make your opinion correct.
Merry Christmas, DF, Steve, and all you wonderful, beautiful friends! The mental image of a motorized chair chase in a store had me shrieking with laughter! 😂😂😂😂
As a mom of three, i would never ever do that, what the mom did changing the diaper on a restaurant table!! That's some vile stuff . When my kids were babies , i had a mat for that in my diaperbag and also clean clothes, and wetwipes etc, like my bag was full of stuff ,even reserve clothes for my baby.. You never know what happens when you have a baby!! Shame on those parents, both mom and dad.. They're disgusting!!!
Story 4. Hub gives wife early Xmas "gift" of $600. She in turn is supposed to use the $600 to buy him a gaming console. That leaves her with nothing, while the A-hole Has fulfilled his gift obligation to wife and he gets the console. What a con man.
Wheelchair Story: I would have told the old lady that any Store that Bans people from bringing their own Personal Mobility Devices into the store is Violating the Federal ADA...
And that would go over her head or she would tell you how wrong you are. Sometimes people and especially older people don't realize laws have changed or exist. But then again she probably doesn't believe in them and civil disobey them
I can relate to story 2, there was a woman who had three kids. 2 were toddlers or a little older and a baby. The kids had left more food on the table than on their plates let alone ate the food. Even left a dirty diaper on the table then she immediately scurried out the door as I glared at her. There was a trashcan and a changing station in the women's bathroom. Yet she left the dirty diaper on the freaking table. Let alone let the kids play with their food and make a huge mess. It didn't help that it was also a very busy day and I was the table busser. My coworkers were appalled that she did that. And if I wasn't working I would have TOLD her off and an entire lecture on keeping her kids behaved in public.
It could always be worse. 9_9 Back in the 80s (when I was 11 or 12), my family went to a restaurant that served burgers, steaks, etc and had a salad bar. Guess where one female customer was changing her baby. Also, about a decade ago, I was in a chinese buffet restaurant and when I entered the bathroom to wash my hands, I saw a male customer rinsing his toddler's butt in one of sinks. Needless to say, I quickly told the staff about it & waited until they cleaned the bathroom after the jackass left. I never went back to that restaurant & they closed a few months later. 9_9
Story 5: Back home, that is what we call a walking condom commercial. You can raise a child until the age of 3, so they still have time, but by the sound of it that kid will be raised "in the wilds".
Story 2 - If I was the boss that camera footage would leak to the internet. If you're prepared to smear shit in a table you should be prepared for it to be shared!
Last story, i would have told them on the first unsupervised incident that they need to supervise THEIR child. On the second, I would tell them they need to supervise their child better or they would be asked to leave. And on the third incident, I would make them leave...and call the cops if they refused to leave. I would point out that they had claimed they were getting a sitter for their child, and if they couldn't get said sitter, they should have stayed home.
First story, I have a wheelchair, electric. Mine will go 4 mph forward and about 2mph in reverse. Yes, there's a speedometer. And if Karen had decided to latch onto mine and tried to take it, well, I might forget which button is which and reverse right into her. It hurts, just ask my husband whose toe I've accidently run over too many times. And, you do NOT touch a person's chair without asking and you certainly do not try to take it from them, even if they are young. You may not know what that person is dealing with that makes them have to use the chair. So many Karens, so little time.
Honestly I could have understood if the lady complained to whoever was in charge because of the lack of changing table. The only reason there would be no room is if they also didn’t have a wheelchair accessible restroom which is also not okay so her being upset would be understandable. But changing the baby at the table and then rubbing it in?!?! That is disgusting and uncalled for!
First, I hope everyone had a great and blessed Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Hannakha. Second, I don't care if it's Cananda or not. I would've sued to make sure whomever is paying for Medical Bills is not. And made sure her ass went straight to jail.
@@protoborg @TheDarkLink7 In English, I've seen Hanukkah used more often. There is an interesting discussion in Wikipedia on the spelling discussing both of those versions since it's a transliteration from the Hebrew alphabet. For precisely that reason, I wouldn't be surprised to find yet more variations, especially in other languages which use the Roman alphabet.
Not a whacking stick, but one of those toy hammers that go "SQUIKA" when it hits something. Makes it funny, embarrassing for the recipient, and brings attention to the situation.
Changing table issue: no establishment is obligated to provide a changing table to customers. Second, how did they pay? Having the name in the card helps to locate these people. Although, after thought - could have said, "btw, a couple just before you did the EXACT same thing and i haven't had the chance to 'clean' it!" Ruined christmas story: "Okay, I'll ruin it even more as I'm not returning home!" Christmas party: they would have been gone within the first hour! No excuses!
OP and his wife should have told the couple that the house isn’t childproof and that this was an adults only party. They can try and find someone to babysit and come back or you would understand if they couldn’t stay. I wouldn’t have let them stay or once I discovered the tape on drawers or the child getting into things I would have told them to leave. I wouldn’t have waited until the went into offlimit rooms and made a mess to pull the plug on them. Don’t invite them next year. If they ask about it be honest. I am sure Ms Manners or Dear Abby would have a BUNCH to say about these EPs.
Story 2... they clearly vandalized the table. With the laugh... it was intentional, and malicious. As such, they should have filed charges and sued for the cost of the table, and that of the lost business.
Also, what you said DarkFluff, yes. That manager SHOULD post that on all social media and even to other restaurants so that lady can't go anywhere without being known as "The lady who changed a diaper outside a bathroom"
"I'll get it all over the seat of my car." Apparently too thick (or cheap) to realize you can buy disposable or reusable changing pads, or even just lay down a few paper towels.
She pretty much did, it wasn't security but it got the same results. It sounds like a grocery store and honestly most grocery stores I know don't have security and a manager is that authority figure.
Vets are crazy expensive and 1 grand later my cat is alive but we are screwed! But at least we didn't have any Karen's come our way as the cherry on top! Thank you boys and bless you❤
Story 2: I have 4 kids and have changed diapers in my trunk, backseat, in the grass, on a bathroom floor with a spit-up blanket down first, on my lap outside, etc when places havent had changing tables. I also have never gotten poop "everywhere" while changing...even when it was a breastmilk blowout tummy-bug diaper. They also sell little changing pads that fold up pretty small you can lay down and change your baby ontop of.
Last story, maybe we're just more considerate here in UK, but in 7 decades I have NEVER known anyone bring a child to a 'grown ups' party. If you can't get a baby sitter, you just apologise to your hosts in advance for crying off and don't go to the party.
Story #2 with the baby diaper... the first call would have been to the police for vandalism with a biohazardous substance! Story #5 would have the parents asked to take care of their child or else leave... Nobody needs toxic friends like that... I would have personally threatened to cocoon the kid in a large towel if the parents couldn't or wouldn't keep the child out of mischief. If the parents couldn't get a sitter, then they should have stayed home... popping out kids means taking responsibility and yes, sometimes giving up on things you want to do.
This is an arrestable offense. The clearing of fecal matter is a HAZMAT issue and nay not be cleaned by employees. In most states the restaurant would be immediately closed pending an inspection. If the owner didn’t contact the police with the cc footage he or she was absolutely derelict in duty (so to speak). Ordinarily I’m opposed to tracking people down on the internet but in this case I’m all for posting the footage and letting the internet “do its thing.”
I am the breadwinner in my house, and I never expect my partner to "read my mind". I have a wish list on Amazon and if he can get it, he might. Otherwise, I don't care. The husband in Story 4 is the ahole all day long.
I am hopelessly addicted to these Karen stories. I listen to them every single day. Even though I've never encountered a Karen myself, I have no doubt that the world is full of bad and evil people.
I do NOT condone violence! I DO, however, 100% condone SELF DEFENCE BY ANY MEANS NECCESARY!!!! EDIT : Diaper story. Yeah, i would have called the cops on them, along with CCTV evidence on both those parents. And CPS too. Clearly unhinged and unfit to be parents. Ramming cart story = I would have sued Karen for = Assault and battery, harrasment and attempted theft. And make sure she has to pay ALL medical bills too! And i would sue that security gaurd for = illegal detainment. also file an official complaint for this to his boss.
I’ve changed my kids on my lap while sitting on the toilet or the backseat of my car when there were no changing tables available. I use a portable changing mat to change them when they were still in diapers. She and her husband are nasty people. I feel sorry for the child.
I worked at a pizza place for almost 5 years. In that time I've seen like 3 mothers changing their babies on the table with a restaurant full of people. And yes, we had a huge bathroom with a place to change babies
Last story. We use to have game nights/dinners with friends. We would alternate houses each week. For the longest time, my friends would just not parent their child when they came over. I reached my breaking point one day after 10 minutes of chasing their child everywhere. I walked into the kitchen and was asked what their son was doing. Let them know "I'm am not watching you son anymore" and that was followed by a crash in the living room. They asked what that was and I let them know if was probably the lamp I had been trying to keep their son away, Guess he finally knocked it down. After that they watched their son anytime they came over. Loved the kid but I am not cooking, entertaining and trying to watch someone else child.
I can relate to story 4 because I can't get a job due to medical issues (mostly Epilepsy), but I do get money for essential items like food and meds. The closest to "working" that I can do is volunteer at a thrift store for 3 hours.
Similar to story 2: Worked at a small gas station/convenience store with a motel and the most disgusting/weird things I saw or was told about include: 1. The owner's wife told me about how one woman was outraged that there was a customer only sign in front of the washrooms, there was no key just an open doorway to the male and female ones. After the woman left it was discovered that she took a large 💩in the center of the floor. 2. Someone stole the toilet seat, shower curtain, 4 shower curtain hooks, and the rubber bathtub mat from the room they rented. The owners wife was not happy as now they could not rent the room until everything was replaced. So this person got an additional nights stay charged plus the cost of replacement stuff, plus $50 for the time to go to the store in the next town over/come back/install everything. 3. Someone thought it would be a good idea to use the motel's towels to clean oil/grease from their engine. So they got a charge for entire towel set that had to be replaced. 4. One day a mother and daughter come inside, took a quick scan of the place and then left without saying anything. After that I went outside to cleanup around the gas pumps. When I went out the mother and daughter were squatting down with their skirts hiked up. They had nothing on underneath and they were peeing onto the ground. The mom just stared at me as did the daughter. Then they left. I guess they didn't like the customer only sign on the washroom, but the door was open so they could have just gone in because who is going to stop someone from going to the washroom? 5. Someone took a massive 💩on a motel room bed and just put the blankets back in place over it. The mattress and sheets were just tossed and the replacement costs were charged to their credit card we had on file. Story 3: If I was OP I would have demanded a gift card for a decent amount as well because it is the stores fault as well for not making sure that their security people were not fully/properly trained.
Many grout lines are sealed because they can get stained with all sorts of foods. But I agree, I don’t think if I let hospital grade sanitizer sitting 24 hours would make me feel the table was clean! I’m not sure soaking with bleach 24 hr and then hospital grade for 24hr would make me confident.
Story 2 : Diaper inns restaurants- so as a mom I can honestly say I HAVE changed my kids in a restaurant Dinning room before Usually I change the baby on a chair beside me. And I’m fast and usually very inconspicuous I was on the moms side in this story till she rubbed the diaper all over the table. That was uncalled for
The resstraunt is lying about not being able to fit a changing table into the bathroom. They put baby changing tables in AIRPLANE bathrooms. (They're just above the toilet.) They didn't put one in because the owner didn't want to pay for one.
Story 4: this is exactly why us women should NEVER depend financially on a man, NEVER EVER. I know OP kinda didn't have a choice but now she could move back to her parents house, it's the safest choice for now.
Why would you give someone a present of money and expect them to buy YOU a present with it? In what universe does that work? Yes, it works if you say "Here's $600, can you buy me this thing?", but that's not what this idiot did, is it?
It's illegal to stick someone with a second purchase like that, otherwise shopkeepers would be doing it all the time. You need the cardholder's consent beforehand, like for subscriptions.
Story 4- Husband sounds like a domestic abuser, controlling money and berating his wife in public.
Totally agree! This is a huge red flag!

Karen should ask her mom or grandma where they changed babies when out. N even with changing table they were gross anyway
Story 4: Classic financial abuse by a control freak. One of the hardest kinds of relationships to escape from, unfortunately.
I know that feeling. That’s horrible!
Story 2 - If they had paid with a card, I would have gotten that information from the receipts as well as the camera footage and gone to the cops. That's literal health code violations and biohazard level contamination, they both would face fines and probation at the least if not full-on jail time.
I would also sue them for the cost of the table.
I would either ban the woman from the store or go on social media to shame her.
@@alantran4901 I'd do both!
Last story - When they showed up with the kid why did you even let them in?? I would have sent them home immediately. No kids means NO KIDS.
I hope she leaves and finds happiness somewhere else...

and take him for everything he has
In a good marriage it should be joint accounts.
Agreed! Let's see how the husband likes it when he is no longer married to her but still has to pay her medical bills for life on top of alimony.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
I would have called the police as soon she refused to stop changing the diaper on the table, then called the manager.
they’re both liable for Criminal Damage to Property as well as Several Health Code violations and overdue for a visit from DCFS/CPS
Criminal damage plus umpteen broken health regulations... report this woman and her complicit husband to Police.
Baby Changing Story: I would have called the Police before even going out to talk to Karen...

I don't drink, but i definitely would come to that party!
Too bad.... The would-be sitters had no income on the year-end.
😂😂😂
I'd give that lady a pass if she instead used the 600$ gift to pay someone for a "permanent" divorce!
Last Story: Turn them away. It is impolite show up with uninvited guests (especially children), so it's well within the hosts right to turn them away at the door. They KNEW in advance the party was child-free and should have made arrangements. If those arrangements fell through, then they should have stayed home.
Plus, no invitation next year. The child will be two and able to open doors.
I think they should put her on no Admittance allowed with her picture and send it to every Restaurants in the area
Exactly, get her a perma-ban and a place of dishonor on the "Board Of Shame" in every store in town! 😡
Story four. This 'husband' is an abuser. You need to get away from him!
The charges of causing a biohazard is up $8000 in fines.
Story 2: What kind of parent doesn't have a change mat in their kit?
I mean, even if a bathroom has a changing station, you really want one.
Last story - presumably that's the last time that couple is invited to the Christmas party...
Lets hope so.
Story 2: I hope that counts as vandalizim so they can get her a** arrested
Agree, they should have said on invitation and when they arrived. But how did they get a play pen and other stuff in?
Story 1 - ‘You can’t bring personal equipment into a store’… Are you effing kidding me?! That’s the most idiotic thing I’ve ever heard.
I have no doubt that Karen was trying to steal OP’s chair because she didn’t want to use the stores scooter.
It reads as fake to me, wdym she said you can't bring personal items into the store?
@@blastortoisea lot of people are idiots so there could be that about the woman trying to steal op’s chair
Just like a story awhile back where a rabid Karen tried to steal a disabled child's fancy customized powered wheelchair, obviously not store equipment. 😮
@@stuartwalker9597 Yeah but considering these stories play out mostly the same, I have to call bs on a lot of them, there are crazy stories that are plausible, but this one doesn't feel that way
Since when are Karens known for common sense?
@@SamusKnight2K if they want the legal route for that then the owner could easily then sue them for the price at the table.
It would be illegal for the restaurant to do that.

*Man... Some people should NEVER pro-create!*
Story 4 - OP IS ABSOLUTELY NTA!!!! Her husband is an abusive AH and a monster. OP needs to get a lawyer and get herself and the kids away from that monster ASAP!
I hate new parents who are so oblivious to the FACT that their kid is THEIR responsibility and not everyone else’s….
OP2: "Stop that or leave this restaurant." Only suffucient response. Disgusting cnnt.
No. No "or".
1. Stop that
2. Pay for damages
3. AND leave

And how stupid do you have to be to think you can't take a personal mobility aid into a store???
But then again she probably doesn't believe in them and civil disobey them
Diaper story: I would mean to be rude. And tell her it's against health laws.
Back in the 80s (when I was 11 or 12), my family went to a restaurant that served burgers, steaks, etc and had a salad bar.
That SAHM should give herself a gift for Christmas, a divorce.
Story 5: Back home, that is what we call a walking condom commercial.
You can raise a child until the age of 3, so they still have time, but by the sound of it that kid will be raised "in the wilds".
I'm pretty sure, that even in Canada, you can sue for "Pain & Suffering"!
Story 2: OP you seriously should have suggested your boss sue that karen for the cost of the table.

@@protoborg @TheDarkLink7
In English, I've seen Hanukkah used more often.
Although, after thought - could have said, "btw, a couple just before you did the EXACT same thing and i haven't had the chance to 'clean' it!"
Ruined christmas story: "Okay, I'll ruin it even more as I'm not returning home!"
Christmas party: they would have been gone within the first hour! No excuses!
So the Seinfeld scooter race came to mind with story 1. Had me cracking up
With the little annoying horn beeping😃
Merry Christmas Darkfluff! I hope you fed Stevo a nice meal this Christmas :D
Story one.... I'd have been yelling for security, saying I'm being assaulted! 🤨

Changing a diaper on a restaurant table …. Send. Video. To. CPS …
I dunno. Maybe I have Karen genes. That couple with the child allowed to roam free, would be called out and sent home
Story 2 police or sue, that family was out of line and damage personal property.
I worked at a pizza place for almost 5 years. In that time I've seen like 3 mothers changing their babies on the table with a restaurant full of people. And yes, we had a huge bathroom with a place to change babies
Story 2: I am sure these people used card to pay and likely got punished after being tracked down, but OP probably never got around to mentioning it
A 1 year old 'roam freely'!? 😂😅yeah right!!! Large pinch of salt added here.

Similar to story 2:
Worked at a small gas station/convenience store with a motel and the most disgusting/weird things I saw or was told about include:
OK, so changing a baby on a table like that is insane; but what kind of restaurant doesn't have a changing station?
Many grout lines are sealed because they can get stained with all sorts of foods. But I agree, I don’t think if I let hospital grade sanitizer sitting 24 hours would make me feel the table was clean! I’m not sure soaking with bleach 24 hr and then hospital grade for 24hr would make me confident.
That security guard needs to be retrained for sure.
CPS should have been called and they should be put on the do not sell list with their pictures everywhere
Somebody better have played the “Benny Hill” chase theme for that first story
Story 2 : Diaper inns restaurants- so as a mom I can honestly say I HAVE changed my kids in a restaurant Dinning room before
Usually I change the baby on a chair beside me. And I’m fast and usually very inconspicuous
I was on the moms side in this story till she rubbed the diaper all over the table.
If anything, all of us women should just date other women or at least nonbinary people. We never wanted or needed men in the first place.
Why would you give someone a present of money and expect them to buy YOU a present with it? In what universe does that work?
Yes, it works if you say "Here's $600, can you buy me this thing?", but that's not what this idiot did, is it?
They should have called the police and sued them for the cost of the table and lawyer fees of course
Story 2 - Should have used the info on the card to charge her for the cost of the table :D
It's illegal to stick someone with a second purchase like that, otherwise shopkeepers would be doing it all the time.
You need the cardholder's consent beforehand, like for subscriptions.
