    Once this all dies down, the kids parents should move away, and not tell Insane Granny, the actual NEW address. This forensics woman, is a SAINT, I hope she knows it. She's literally protected another person's family, while simultaneously putting her own job, sanity, and very life in danger. If I knew her, I'd be baking her cake and cookies. Poor woman.

      Plus I suspect dementia of some sort and maybe some drugs. Granny’s control issues and manipulations escalate in ways that if this had happened ~5 years earlier I suspect wouldn’t have happened just the normal karenesque things the son is used to from his mom and her behavior made it harder to notice dementia stealing inhibitions. My grandmother was a piece of work and she escalated abusively on those she didn’t like but seemed “normal” to rest of family so it took longer to realize she had dementia. I really think that’s what’s happening here garden variety problematic person is losing their mind literally and anger/ drugs/ lack of appropriate medication treatment allowed for the extreme spiraling. European prisons mostly focus on rehabilitation over punishment so they have different standards. Psychotic people you can treat, this hag is a lost cause I think.
      My father is a psychiatrist, and we sometimes talk about stuff like this. People can reach a point of no return, where therapy and medication won’t work anymore. This is true for murderes who kill multiple people on multiple occasions, repeated sexual offenders etc. Basically when you’re so far gone, that what you’re doing has become completely normal to you.
      And while I‘m everything but an expert (I only know what I learned from my dad), I‘m willing to bet, that this woman certainly is on of these cases.

      It basically just exists to protect walks and hiking trails from big land owners. The majority of us, i think, quite like it that way, since walking out in our countryside is one of the best parts about living in this country.
      It ABSOLUTELY would not protect you from entering somebody's personal garden and harassing them though, there's quite a big fistinction between "you can walk this public footpath through this estate" and "literally peering into somebody's fenced off property", and other than that, i don't think the right to loiter around outside of somebody's is any different here than the US either.

      yeah... and it's significantly worse when the whole family KNOWS that the one family member is mentally unstable and the unstable family member goes about manipulating, lying, and faking her way through EVERYTHING especially after trying to set someone on fire DIRECTLY with a road flare... yeah... having a family member that is like that is just... horrifying.

    Wow, hope that Insane Granny's friend learned to never compromise herself and her job for a friend, much less a lunatic like that granny.
    And the husband better learn to never again question the wife, because in the end she was the only thing holding that family from exploding due to the crazy actions of that grandma.

    Holy cow! This grandma is BEYOND insane and is particularly super obsessed with the girl judging by all of these crazy events and drama happening. Being locked up in prison in my book is just too mild at this point. What the parents should do now is to file for a permanent restraining order against her since in case she does serve her time or is let go early for "good behaviour" or something and she decides to pick up where she had stopped last time. The restraining order will be handy to let her know that she's no longer welcome as a family member and if she does attempt to go near the family, she can be reprimanded and/or arrested for violating a restraining order. That's the next course of actions that has to be taken. That family can consider themselves being extremly lucky or even blessed that OP was even there from the very start, standing her ground with the witness report, helping the family out and is working in the forensics of all things. It's like listening to a modern replica of the origin story of Purim (the word literally means "Random" or "Lottery" in Hebrew and as a tradition it's celebrated to honor the time when an evil Vizier decided to wipe out all the Jews from the Sultanate at a date he decided based on a lottery draw all because of the main protagonist refused to bow to the Vizier, but the Jews were spared because the protagonist had his daughter-like niece presented to the Sultan and the Sultan found her being extremly beautiful and married her, allowing the protagonist asking her to tell the Sultan about the Vizier's evil plan). I commend you OP.

    The irony is that by trying to steal custody by lying and trying to get the mother thrown in jail, Granny here proved that she wouldn't be a good parent either
    Granny lied, tried to ruin the reputation of at least two people, tried to get the mom thrown in jail, and even attempted kidnapping! No parent would do any of that

      OP did say 'over 3 years' but that seems a bit low. Especially considering it was aggravated attempted murder! Would much rather have seen 'over a decade' or similar.

      As oxenfort said
      @Orxenhorf
      hace 1 día
      Uh let's see..... beyond the original filing false reports or making false statements and harassment, we've now got bail violation, maybe stalking (that wasn't one of OP's regular addresses so she had to follow her there), aggravated assault, witness intimidation (could be 2 counts for both the house visit and the work trailer), obstruction of justice or evidence tampering for whatever the other event was, and possible resisting arrest or assaulting police officers.
      Granny is looking at the potential of a very, very, long stay.

    Granny is probably a low functioning sociopath. The way she can switch emotions and get irritated easily along with the fact that she has no conscience and no issues doing the unspeakable while being manipulative as hell. Sociopaths have dulled emotions and while similar to psychopaths are not the same. Psychopaths have almost no feeling or emotion, are very calm, and very pragmatic. Sociopaths can care about others but only on the level of a cherished pet but not someone with their own autonomy and individuality.
