    Real Madrid has just won the Champions League. and this guys 'Pol Ballus' was saying 'they are not able to catch up with premiere league clubs'. Real Madird had beaten Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool in FInals to win the CL 2022. Please don't say anything just to make this video.

    Are they talking more so about the boards or the fans? I can’t see fans, over a short period of time, becoming ‘pals’. But if they’re talking about boards then I honestly don’t think any so called “2 team league” have anything but an I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine relationship

      Did you watch the video? The clubs as business entities are brothers in pushing for the Super League - so yes, the boards. It has nothing to do with fans.

      @@Asshat237 Yes which is no new thing. It's hardly a novel idea that a league that has 2 dominant teams is controlled by basically a coalition of the 2 boards to keep themselves ahead. Which I said. So yes my comment still stands.

    La Liga is falling behind because the revenue is concentrated with the big two, which imbalances the league, hurts the quality of the lower clubs, and makes it largely non-competitive. Once the Real-Barca duopoly is broken financially, the league will only then truly develop into a spectacle like that of the Prem.
    Btw, the Premier League is under threat of financial domination by the big clubs as well, as seen with recent proposals and the Super League. If they are not careful, they will go down the wrong path in the long run. Nobody wants to watch games where the winner is guaranteed.

    • @hschsc1300
      @hschsc1300 Год назад +4

      Also, La Liga's success in the early/mid 2010's relative to the Premier League should be viewed as a one time thing. The private sector nature of PL clubs made them vulnerable to the Financial Crisis and Great Recession, and keep in mind that a heavy portion of their revenue was from season tickets at the time. Now they are practically completely reliant on broadcast revenue and other alternative sources, and many PL clubs are now state-owned. La Liga was just fortunate at the time, and now the gap between Spain and England looks as if it will only get bigger.

      'Once the Real-Barca duopoly is broken financially, the league will only then truly develop into a spectacle like that of the Prem.'
      I would say it's not so likely...unless an oil state / multi-billionaire buys some LaLiga clubs which would provide the cash injection for them to attract top talent away from the lure of the Prem.
      But also indeed broadcast revenue helps the Prem a lot...and I doubt LaLiga can rival it given that the Prem is all in English. That is attractive for overseas viewers who (outside of Latin America) don't speak Spanish

    • @hschsc1300
      @hschsc1300 Год назад +2

      @@seadkolasinac7220 Ofc the Prem has a wider reach. There are more English speakers than Spanish. However, La Liga has arguably failed to maximize what they could in the Spanish speaking market and has generally failed in reaching out to the general Latin speaking market in Italy, Portugal, Brazil, France, much of Africa, and more.

    the Irish guy in the bottom left window needs to work on his journalism. Saying "pulling levers" about twelve times isn't revelatory news, it's lazy journalism. The expression "pulling levers" is cringeworthy and it makes Barcelona's practice of desperately selling off the family silver sound more impressive than it actually was.
