Wow so glad that my favourite is clearly A which is pod go that I'm planning to buy! Sounds more natural just straight off from the first clip. The other 2 really need some eq in order to make it sound right! The B has some weird frequency bumps and valley (pretty nasal sounding) while the C is very muffled (maybe could sound close to the pod go by just opening up the highs).
Do another one but with tweaks to all to make them sound the best to your ears. That would be interesting. Pod go is sounding awesome though, glad I bought it.
I thought 1,kemper 2, fractal 3 pod go Im seriously thinking of getting a pod go. The quality of sound and price point. Makes it a more attractive purchase for me
Thanks for posting. Interesting to hear. Didn't read any spoilers but guessed the Kemper was C as it sounded the most like a Twin in the room (although without the bright switch). The others sounded like they had a bright switch on but were also thinner sounding in comparison so figured those were the modelers. In a recording situation like this any of those tones could work depending on the song and context. If you do another comparison I'd like to hear you dial them by ear as to what you think their best individual settings are rather then just everything at noon kind of thing because they don't necessarily echo what an amp sounds like with the knobs at noon. I don't own any of them but have been thinking about getting either the Helix or the Kemper but at this point I am leaning towards the Kemper.
A sounded the best to me which surpricingly turned out to be the POD Go, i actually thought that C might have been the POD Go, C was pretty muddy/dark and i put it last. The comparison may not be fair though since the EQ settings isnt set to were each amp would sound the best just to a fixed middle value.
I got the Kemper right but the Fractal and Line 6 I got round the wrong way. The Kemper sounds like its got a towel over the cab. Nice comparrison Tony.
I own all 3 units and the Pod Go is by far my least favorite. Just can never get most of the patches to a point where I am satisfied with the sound, plus the tuner is sub-par as is the pitch shifter and available CPU. Just picked up an AX8 to see if it would be a good replacement for the POD Go and so far I am impressed with the sounds and features rather than the near constant disappointment I have experienced with the POD Go.
Don’t forget that it’s not just the sound but how your hand feel of the sound that come out. Things like latency, shallow feel etc So go try at thr store too

A sounded best to me, I hoped that's the Pod Go and indeed it was :-)
I picked A as the best! WooHoo. I thought B sounded pretty bad. C was decent as well.
My initial guess was:
A. AXE
B. Pod Go
C. Kemper
It is amazaing how far these units have come...

The 'sound quality' is exactly the same as the Helix so it's amazing and at $450 it's a winner.
A - AX8, B - Kemper, C - Pod go... I'm so surprised after seen the results! :O. Using Pod go.... But absolutely love the B. sound... Very surprised!

A was the warmest to me, which i preferred C was 2nd place to me kinda low tone and B sounded too high

C sounds more like a tube amp. A & B sound digital.

Wow.. thought that B was the Line 6 for sure. That Fractal sounds awful. Very thin by comparison. No depth, at all.
