- Well I'm finally getting somewhere with making this garage a functioning brewery! The last table I need is one for my 240V 20 gal Clawhammer Electric Brewing system so I have to open it up and see how large it really is! Links in description

Thanks for going through set up/assembly of the 240V clawhammer system. Other reviewers didn't go into the detail that you did, especially putting together and installing the heating element into the container. Thank you!
You will love the 20 gallon system. I got my 20 gallon system up and running in a day and brewed the same day. Heats water super fast. Peace of mind get an exhaust fan condensation from this thing is insane. Also used a quick disconnect on my in and out of my water lines on the chiller.
You’re going to love this system I bought it a year ago and brew day has been easy peasy and great beer. I have mine set up in my my brew shed. Cheers! oh and great to see your progress
Turn the roll of tape around from the way you were doing it while putting it on the threads. That way you always keep a little tension on the tape. I'm right handed so I put the fitting in my left hand (end to be taped pointing to my right side) turn the roll of tape so it keeps tension, then roll the tape on the threads away from me (clockwise around the fitting). Can't wait to see the beers going to be brewed in that monster!
Wow turn that system on the neighbourhood lights will dim, I think the thumbs down people were jealous. The States has it all ! Love your work .
Pumped to see what you make in that 20gal system!
Yay!!!!! Looking good. Go hubby! Your going to love lifting the grain basket just pushing a button 👍 You'll be brewing in no time 🍻
Very cool! Cheers!
Looked at quit a few brewing systems, I think will go with same one you picked, thanks for video.
Garage looks amazing!!! Love it!!
It's really turning into a brewery! You should see the back yard, TOTALLY different
@@FloraBrewing I can’t wait to see it!!!!
I would used a water heater stand. They are about 18 inches tall, and should be great for your hight
good video cheers
Nice!!!!
Put Teflon tape on that connection on the inside! You don’t want the sst to seize up on you, you won’t be able to take it apart! Happened to me one one of my ball valve connections
Not keen on "Quick Disconnects". There was one that you were showing at the bottom of the big Vessel and I would have preferred to wonder why liquid was leaking as I am unsrewing than quickly removing something and then having to get to the valve quickly.
Glad you have the essential Winch. You were concerned with your layout. Where your Vassel (20gallons) sits governs everything. Obviously it will be underneath something which can support 200 lbs or so (for the winch) and plus a safety factor of at least two (so 400 lbs). Watching with interest. 150 pints of booze done at a time....bliss.
I'm leaving the engineering to the husband (do not want to be the one responsible for demolishing the garage). The main reason I haven't brewed on the new system yet is we're still trying to figure it out, guess I'm brewing on propane for a while
Congrats on the new 240v system. I'm curious to hear your feelings on how it compares to the 120v as far as the speed of heating and quality of the boil is concerned.
Binging your videos! Love it!
Where did you get the stainless table? Does it hold up OK with the weight of your system?
I know you had mentioned you use an immersion chiller. Do you have any recommendations on using the immersion chiller with the Clawhammer system? I have a Jaded chiller I’m trying to use but the heating element is in the way.
you don't have to mount the entire winch on the ceiling. just a pulley. then the winch on the floor or a wall.
Love 😍❤️
looks great, just one thing the teflon tape you put on the temp port you put on backwards so dont be surprised if it leaks from there LOL
Ok going to re teflon that now...told you I always do it wrong!! One of those things that doesn't stick in my brain!
Awesome setup! I really enjoy watching the progression. Will you have an exhaust hood to vent the moisture outside when boiling, or is that not going to be an issue?
I've got a vent going in as well as an AC to dry it out, the nice thing is I can just open the whole garage door and air it out, it's windy at our new place fortunately!
So you have had you clawhammer 240v system for a while, How do you like it so far. I’m in the market for a new system. Thanks🍻
Are you still keeping your old equiptment now that you have the 20 gal clawhammer?
Wonder why they dont have the wiring setup out of the box. Would save some good time. Maybe to test patience :)
Love 😘😍
15:25 Are you just doing a bare metal tri-clamp? Where's your gasket?? 15:42 Okay cool, I started sweating there for a few seconds. lol
Men they should work on making the controller smaller!!!
Why in the world is it so big? It is the size of a wheelbarrow 🤣🤣
I think it's cheaper to make them that way
They make quick disconnects for garden hoes, you should get a set for the heat exchanger.
16:53 You don't want to put Teflon anywhere that it will come in contact with your mash. The effect on your wort is probably negligible but it is a breading ground for bacteria and overtime could cause issues.
Did you clean and passivate the stainless?
Why isn't 240V standard in USA?
In LA most appliances are gas so it's not really needed. I think it just depends on where you live in the US
Hey, and yep, TheDuffman65582 is right jus put a round of teflon on the threads so it doesnt seize up on you :-( Where did you get that growler on the shelf from ?? Looks a bit like my avatar :-) I got mine at www.hellmann24.de . Happy building and waiting for your first Brew in the new brewery !
