Magnolia Place Apartments - Fishing in Gainesville, Florida

- My wife sent me her Facebook memory from when I discovered the Magnolia Place Apartments pond, and I knew I had to make a video. I first fished here 10 years ago. It is a nice spot that I found by talking to a couple of other residents walking around the complex with fishing poles, and its been success ever since! I've had the most success here with a Culprit - Fire & Ice worm.
Lately, it has gotten overgrown a bit, but there are still a few open spots where you can fish. The day I went, the turtles kept eating my shiners, so I wandered around and found this small trail to a drainage spot and gave it a try.

Nice spot! That's a creative one. Also an awesome memory and photo
Like I said, just trying to find a spot away from turtles. Got the quick bite, but then the turtles followed me... have to go back to fishing with a worm or lure here.
Where do you get your shiners?
I get my shiners at Parks Place. 120 NW 39th Avenue.
