    Thank you for the unboxing review. I noticed it did not come with empty hole covers to block the light. It’s going to let in a lot of light with that many holes. It also didn’t come with any plant supports even though the grow deck looks like it has holes for them. I think it’s very expensive and they missed out on some of the accessories the cheaper units come with. No labels, stickers, plant supports and hole covers. It’s is very attractive. Good luck with your experiment.

      Hi there, thanks for your suggestions! Since this product has been launched just half a year, there are some accessories that have not yet been added. We are planning to incorporate these accessories into the production, plz stay tuned.

    Very similar to the JustSmart brand, which is half the price of letpot but also only 12 pods. It has auto refil and fertilization and 40w light with dimmable and WiFi on the GsMax version.

    Man, I can imagine what that thing cost.
    But it does look fancy, so it will fit in with most home decor.
    What I can't believe is how many grow sites in such a little area.
    I grow with aeroponics.
    And I built all my systems.
    And I thought I put to many grow sites and to close together when I built them.
    I put 23 grow sites in mine.
    But the grow chamber is 18"x 2'8" x 16".
    And it turned out the spacing between grow sites were perfect.
    What I do is I sit 2 of the grow chamber right next to each other. Then I have 46 grow sites in a 3" x 2'8" area.
    Then with that I have a 9" x 18" x 16" reservoir. With the solution and pump in it.
    I use 4 of these systems everyday of the year.
    When I build my systems it cost me almost hundred dollars per complete system.
    But my systems wouldn't look to good in most homes.
    So they would have to go in a garage or shed.
    Anyway good luck with your new toy.

      Thanks for sharing all the great details. I tried to build my own system from scratch, but the finishing was very bad. I even tried building with ready made parts but still couldn't bring any beauty. So, I ended up with readymade systems and exploring good looking systems with great performance.

      Thanks for your response.
      Yes I agree that it's just about impossible for someone to build there own system, that looks worthy to put into a home.
      But that's not really why we want to use these systems.
      Is it ?
      In my opinion, the problem is these systems are why to small. And most people don't know how to use them.
      And people don't know how to use them because of the bad advise the manufacturer are handling out.
      Like I stated in previous comments I've been growing with aeroponics for over 15 years.
      I have 4 systems with 46 grow sites each. That I run 24/7 365 days a year.
      What I have found over the years is that most of the information available for growing this way is incorrect.
      I know this from trial and error and commen sence.
      For example: one of the most important things is to keep your grow chamber and or reservoir around 75 degrees, really it shouldn't go higher then 75.
      There are many reasons why. And I'm sure you know this.
      But I just can't see how this is possible with these systems.
      With the grow light be right on top of the system.
      Another thing is nute solutions and how often they should be changed.
      And how often you should clean your system.
      I clean my systems and change the nutes every 2 weeks. And they need it.
      I can imagine how bad these little systems get in that amount of time.
      Anyway these are 2 important things people need to know.
      And this should help them to achieve a better success rate.
      I really love growing this way. It's the easiest and fastest way to grow.
      Also it's the cheapest way.
      Good luck everyone.

      @@assog5737 Many of us are hobbyists who got into the Aerogarden thing as a novelty. It's nice to have something pretty on the kitchen counter where fresh herbs can be grown. I believe that's the main selling point of the ready-made units... attractive in the home and easy to use. I don't see the point of all the "bells and whistles," so this particular unit doesn't appeal to me... but I know a lot of people like the fancy features.

    Still looks like it suffers from lack of space, but this is a great review! Thank you for taking the time! I've got a good amount of systems and review shorts on my channel if you'd like to check them out for some ideas! I'll be watching for future updates! ❤

    Bought this system a month ago, I agree with this first review. So many bells and whistles, which I can do without. It is nice to look at but so many other systems can do most of the same things.

      I definitely recommend LetPot Max fro it's performance stand point, and it works for everything you mentioned to grow. My only negative side of LetPot Max is it's price point I wish it comes at $200 or less. Anyways, if that's not your concern, you can definitely go for it.

    Which system do the pods wiggle the least?

  • @bjsc1100
    @bjsc1100 Год назад

    that's one fancy unit with a corresponding "fancy" price...tho am sure it's much cheaper than what aerogarden would charge for a comparable unit.
    i agree with your thoughts, and given the choice, i'd prefer the same pod count, bowl capacity and light and skip the extra features, for say half the current price....tho i gotta admit, i really like the control panel.

    • @aerogardenexperiments
      @aerogardenexperiments  5 месяцев назад +1

      It has both pros and cons. I like this system very much from the performance standpoint. And, I have been slowly gaining confidence on durability since it is close to 1 year. Based on my side-by-side experiments with Aerogarden Bounty models, it competed very well.
      However, none of the highly-marketed features such as auto-feeding and auto-refilling are useful for me and I don't pay a single penny for those features. Even WiFi has any additional advantage over the built-in control panel. Cleaning is painful with so many edges and cuttings in the bowl.
      Overall, this system is highly priced for the features that are not practically useful (at least for me). So, I still like this system but I don't want to pay the high price of $200+. I can buy it if the price is under $190, and $180 is a sure buy.

      That's only during auto-refilling. Regular pump that circulates the water is very quiet and we don't even notice that it is running.

      @sarahw.3548 Год назад

      It's probably a little more quiet with the grow deck on.
