I bought this system first and then of course headed over to RUclips for advice, and this channel popped up. Very useful information for a beginner like me 🙂
Hi I'm deaf .. a few days ago I bought amazon .. it's the first time how it works but I got it all wrong because 2 bottles A and B looked like samples instead I threw it in the tray and then filled with water then after I didn't know there instruction is written 2 bottles A and B ... I watched your video it's all clear .. I try again it takes a little bit of patience 😎👍
Happy to have found your channel. Love your content! I just picked up this system, my first system, a few days ago. And the seeds are beginning to sprout. Very exciting!
Thank you so much!! This video was super helpful on how it works. I always have a huge struggle with understanding manuals but you explained it perfect!! I’m not planting fruits/ vegetables, I’m planting flowers but this was still all the information I needed :)
I just got one of these systems from my wife for my bday. I can't find anybody who has done hot peppers in this. Can you grow hot peppers in the hydroponics Idoo system?
You should be able to leave them on until you change the plant out for something new. The plant will grow up through the hole in the middle of the sticker.
The fan helps to strengthen the plants, I haven’t noticed it helping with the mold. The mold is easily cleaned off when you clean the system and change the water every 4 to 6 weeks.
Hey Brittany. I bought 5 IDOO ten pods after watching your video, and I'm happy with them. Lately, one of the units is making the alarm noise, but I can't see the reason for it. The water level is fine and the unit had been cleaned. I just planted seeds so clogging roots are not the issue. Lifting the cover, it appears that the pump is working the way it's supposed to. Any ideas what could be causing the alarm to go off? It happens intermittently and then corrects itself. Also, are you aware of a better way to contact IDOO than an email? They didn't answer the one I sent. They have a number, but it looks like a foreign one. Is there an IDOO American contact? Also, is there any place I could buy spare parts? Seems like having an extra pump or two lying around would be a good idea, TIA. Mark
I haven’t really noticed the window making that much of a difference from the other systems. They all need to be cleaned about every 4 to 6 weeks regardless.
Hi Brittany. Is it possible you could tell me the depth of the 10 pod unit, please? And by depth I mean from the front of the unit to the back. I can't find that information anywhere and I'm about to plan a table to put it on(probably multiple units). TIA. Mark
I was thinking of bitcoin by this newer version now it has some improvements but found an issue. I went to also order spare seed pots / baskets but despite iDOO listing them on Amazon as compatible for this model they are not. I compared the sizes and the only spare ones they are selling via Amazon UK are the slimmer / shorter ones for the models with the less deep reservoirs. So it seems there is no way of buying any additional spares which makes it pretty useless in a short space of time. I will do a little research for other similar sizes baskets from other manufacturers here in the UK. The seller should not be listing the spares as compatible when they are not though. Don’t know if they just messed up and made a mistake or if they are just trying to sell products to make money despite knowing they will be too small for this model? Either way it’s a bit disappointing. Anyway I have watched a few of your vids now. Like the channel so have subbed to support your content. Also hope you had a nice Christmas Day 🤝 🎄
Thank you for watching and yes I’ve noticed this too. I found pods and sponges that are the right size just not idoo brand I’ll link them here for you ( amzn.to/3HcXXBC). I’ve bought them and tested them myself they work well.
@@EverCrest hiya, thanks for the reply and linking to them. I just had a quick look but sadly not available to us here in the UK. Appreciate the help though.
@@EverCrest Excellent I just bought 6 of them. I was thinking of buying the aerogarden reservoir but if I don't need it that saves lots of money. Love all your videos I have been benge watching I am new to hydroponics. Thanks for the quick response! What are the little domes people put over the pods when starting seeds ?
Yes! Sometimes you can reuse them. If the seeds don't come up in that sponge or if the plant died for some reason you can usually reuse the sponge. If the plant grows roots all the way through the sponge you usually can't reuse it then. .
Hello, i was wondering how germination would work. So is it possible to put the seeds in the little pods with the say vegetable system running in a cycle. Would the seeds still germinate and sprout with the light on in a cycle? or i could do the germination separately from the box. I can always trial and error but would be nice to see others perspective or experiences. Thank you :)
Well the system comes with soil sponges. Then you just plant whatever seeds you want in those sponges. If you run out of soil sponges you can get more here: amzn.to/3OQXVUX Hope this helps.
Hi, i have the 12 pod Idoo system, would these longer sponges fit that as well? Furthermore, do you have any updates on your 12 pod idoo system since your last video and share some feedback? Thanx!
Yes they do fit!! This could help with regulating the water levels since they reach so much farther down into the system. I’ve not tried using them in this way yet but they do fit. Unfortunately iDOO does not offer direct replacements for this yet. However I was able to find these, they appear to be the same size. amzn.to/3niE8Sp I’ll order them and let you know how they work.
@@EverCrest My other comment got deleted but I found out I have the iDOO 12Pods Hydroponics Growing System, Indoor Herb Garden with Grow Light, Plants Germination Kit Built-in Fan, Automatic Timer, Up to 11.3"
Thank you. Just got my first system for my birthday and this was more than helpful 😊
Used your code and ordered my 2nd system! Definitely more confident this time around after watching your video lol

I just get this model and I would like to follow you to learn more and enjoy my interior garden.
Thank you you were so clear and a great instructor. Best of luck.

I recently picked up this system and planted seeds today. Basil, cilantro, lettuce and radicchio.

Just got mine last week..already got some Kale, Brussels Sprouts and Broccoli sprouting.
I got mine today and she’s all set up! Thanks so much for the video!
New to your channel but loving all the reviews on the Idoo systems. What light do I use for herbs?
I like to use the vegetable light setting.
I just got one of these systems from my wife for my bday. I can't find anybody who has done hot peppers in this. Can you grow hot peppers in the hydroponics Idoo system?
Question. When should I remove the stickers? I have 3 i doos growing fresh sprouts.
You should be able to leave them on until you change the plant out for something new. The plant will grow up through the hole in the middle of the sticker.
I set up mine today and put the light rod backwards. Couldn’t get it back out! It seems fine, so I guess it’s ok.
Oh no, well I’m glad it seems fine! Happy growing!!
@@EverCrest I will try to get it out next time I clean it! At least I can still raise it, but it is already pretty high to start!
I think it should be fine, for some reason I remember putting one of mine in backwards once too. It took a bit of pulling but I got it out okay.
Does the IDOO with the fan above help to prevent mold or not? Can someone help me, please?
The fan helps to strengthen the plants, I haven’t noticed it helping with the mold. The mold is easily cleaned off when you clean the system and change the water every 4 to 6 weeks.

I've got the one with the window. Thought about it after. Not a good idea, as light can enter.

Yeah the 10 pod unit is 6 1/2 inches deep (front to back) and 15 3/4 inches wide (Side to side). Hope this helps!
@@EverCrest It does! Thank you! Mark
If I'm growing marihuana would I use veg or flower setting?
Well marijuana is considered an herb similar to hops so I would say use the vegetable light setting.
Hey Brittany. I'm about to buy the IDOO 10 pod and it doesn't look like your coupon code works. Did it expire already? Cheers. Mark
I'm sorry I think it has expired.

The seeds germinate in the system.
@@EverCrest thank you 😊
There is no need to have the light on when your seeds are germinating. Once you see sprouts, then run the lighting cycle.
Think I need a bigger water jug... Lol
