When you're topping it off with water to keep it full how do you mix the nutrients or know how much nutrients seems how you're not making a whole 6 1/2 l
Mine came with boring black covers lol
3d printed hole plugs ;)
Researching the answers to customers' questions on Amazon, I learned that the lamp can be lowered only to about 8" from the surface. Coupled with the 22-watt lighting, some found that their seedlings were leggy stretching for light.
Hi, Idoo wifi, can you control it remotely? (far from home) or can you only control it nearby by activating Bluetooth? Thanks!
Looks like they only sell IG302 here in UK on Amazon not the IG302S that you demo in this vid. Looks similar but totally different model with no WiFi / app.
Do i need to have the fan on when germination tho while the dome is on?
Enjoyed your video! I wound up choosing the QYO system over the IDOO, simply because the QYO system had a brighter light bar (36 watts vs the 22 watts on the IDOO) and the light bar height was adjustable from 8" to 24" in height, which allowed for more flexibility. It was also cheaper, which is never a bad thing. But the 6 Liter capacity of the IDOO unit is a big plus. Thanks for a great walk through!
You’re so welcome! I’m glad you are enjoying them.
Does the fan help reduce mold or mildew?
Hi! It has been a few months since this review. How are you liking this unit? What is growing on it?
Hi Simone,
I currently don’t have anything growing in this system right now as I have been focusing on the outside garden. It’s time to start transitioning back inside though! I love this system it doesn’t take up a lot of space but grows a good amount of produce. I will soon be planting greens and basil in this system.
Thanks for this review. I had the video open while I set up the system.
Just ordered the. 20Pods Indoor Herb Garden, Grow Light for Indoor Plant with 4 Removable Water Tank, Free Timing Setting, 26.77in Adjustable Height looking forward to setting it up
Nice let me know how you like it!
Can they send me the stickers because I have the old on? I don't want to use the aluminum foils.
Honestly I've found the best thing to do is just wipe the tops of the sponges with a damp rag every couple weeks.
Promo code is invalid
Thank u i am literally setting mine up as you go..i am so glad i found u😂
So glad I could help!
I have watched your other hydroponic system RUclips videos because my wife and I are seriously considering getting one, specifically this one.
First, thanks for posting them and doing walkthroughs of them. I know you posted an update video somewhat recently, but how are you liking this iDOO system? Right now it's on sale for a little over $90 on Amazon so it seems like a good time to buy.
This is a great system, I really like it!
I just got ID-IG301 (the model with the more shallow reservoir) and I was nervous about it after watching your review of it. I also ordered the longer cups and sponges you recommended. But I was pleasantly surprised to see that the system actually came with longer cups and sponges, as well as the stickers! So I guess they heard the concerns about the original accessories and made changes! I’m very excited to get started, especially because it’s so hard to grow things here in Vegas with the heat in the summer!
So wow that's awesome! Great to hear, happy growing!
I live in Arizona and the cactus we have here are to big to use lol. Love your channel
Lol, thanks!
I got the shorter one for Christmas. Now I see this. It's all taken apart so pretty disappointed and wonder if it will all be a big waste of time. I saw your video with the problems.
The shorter system works great with the longer sponges! Also I have found that simply wiping the top of the sponges off with a damp towel works better than any of the other solutions (stickers, aluminum foil, peroxide).
How high does the light go?
What kind of light should be placed for germination?
the vegetable setting works well.
Is that rattling noise the fan? Is there something stuck in it or not screwed in right or is that just how it sounds?
Yeah that’s the fan, I’ve never had one sound like that before I think there is a piece of plastic or something in there. They don’t usually sound like that.
Notes: use 6.5 liters of warm distilled water. 32.5 ML of both A and B. Use stickers and domes. Add only 2-3 seeds per pod. Leave on vegetables setting for herbs and veggies.
I was thinking about trying this the height is right above where my hybrid peppers I did grow to could barley find any reviews on this model thank you
Hey! Very much a simple question as I'm new to the world of hydroponics - how often do you need to top off the water and the nutrients? And do you do both at the same time?
do you have to use the stickers?
Nope.
I’ve found that if you use the sticky labels that they are slightly too large and that it’s more or less impossible to put the plastic caps over the nets. Did you have this problem? Also in the UK we just got the black caps and not the green cactus type ones.
Love your tutorial. Much more info than other videos I’ve seen!
WiFi😲 does it play🎶🎶
No sorry I don’t think so, that would be cool!
Can younuse the aerogarden podsnin this system
Can you get replacement stickers please?
Good morning. I have the original 12 Pod IDOO. It didn’t come with the pod stickers but thanks to your advice, the foil worked wonders. I wonder if they’ll ever create a bar that will extend more for plant growth. I have a bell pepper plant that’s outgrowing the tank but it’s too cold to transfer it to outdoor soil. I’m thinking about a homemade hydroponic system for larger plants.
Hum that’s a good question I’m not sure if they will or not.
My fan doesn't turn on at all
Sounds like there's a buzzing noise with it, yes? Does that keep going all the time?
Some are louder than others but it shouldn’t be really loud.
How many cap fulls roughly do you use of B and A for set up? I rather count caps than add ML. Also how often do you add more plant food?
Once you get used to metrics, it's a lot easier then you might think. For example, 1 teaspoonful=5ml; 1 tablespoonful=15 ml and so on. Metrics is a better system when it comes to percision and why it's used universally in medicine. Same goes for cubic and linear measurements. The caps are calibrated in metrics and you don't use "capfulls."
Hi! This looks almost exactly the same as the totebox unit you reviewed not that long ago. Are these the same?
They are very similar.
@@EverCrest besides the branding are you able to share what you think the differences are? the IG302S is not available on amazon at the moment but the totebox is. Even has an app and the smart features too. I'm pretty convinced they are the same just rebranded.
The iDoo is available here is the link, amzn.to/3Lyy2aq they are very similar units but different companies.
@@EverCrest says currently unavailable when I go to that link, all good thanks for the help!
Okay sorry about that.
Hello do you have the real dimensions of this unit, it is difficult to find the right info on Amazon. Thank you.
Yes, it is about 13.5 in wide, and 10 in deep. Hight is subjective to how high you raise the light.
@@EverCrest Thank you so much 🙂
How long do you keep the dome on?
Just until the seeding start to grow.
One quick question: Do you think the condensation from the dome may weaken the stickers and cause them to rise as the plant grows? I guess the question would be are they water-tight? Love your videos by the way, keep’’em coming. I ordering this today.
I haven't had any issues with the stickers not staying adhered due to the condensation.
Hum, good question. Although I don’t think that it is out of the realm of possibilities, I think it is unlikely. The stickers are very sticky and seem rather secure.
