This was great video i had this in my cart for a few month. You were the only one that actually answered my question about the light if it was removable 👍🏾.

You can actually grow chilies with the smaller hole trays but only plant 2

I always find these systems somewhat fascinating but then I wonder how practical they are due to their small size. I often wonder why there isn't a system (especially with that programmable screen) that just hangs over the edge of a large tote. I get it's an AIO system but generally I would prefer to buy my own lights anyways. Having an automated large tote system would be preferable IMO. Then of course you could use a larger light for several of them. 😉

That would be great and can be done pretty easy. I have a Chinese kind like this one without the bluetooth, auto watering, auto nutrition but have taken it apart to use the some of stuff. As it is a 3L, I needed bigger so got clear totes and more pumps. Using my own light and that is normally all you need as you water/add nutrition once a week for me. Use Ph sticks and resolves a lot of those issues. You CAN also decide to not use nutrition and go organic with fish like I have also set up.

Very cool! I'm very tempted. I'm also curious about the noise level. The pump seemed quite loud when filling itself up from empty, but I imagine it quieted down as it filled with water. Is that the case, or are the pumps still pretty loud when it's full? Thanks for putting together this long version!

Nice looking system Shaun! I would agree that the removable light source is a strong point in favor of this system, along with the size of the reservoir. Will be interesting to follow your progress especially as to the reliability of the automatic system features. Also would like to see the success rate of using the hydro system as a plant starter, and then the success of transfer into potting mixes or directly into the ground. The plastic holders for the spongy grow media, are the prongs on the side of the holders free at the bottom? And if one were to use those holders for pepper production, is there enough diameter for trunk growth without girdling? Just a curious mind of some of the system's elements. Stay Spicy! -Bob...

There is just 1 thing I don't understand.
So you store a and b in separate bottles but you mix them in the same little container?
If the 2 compounds react when highly concentrated than they will also react in the divice.

Would the Reservoir pump be strong enough to pump water from a lower location? For example a lower cabinet or such. It would help out in hiding the reservoir and also help keep algae out of the reservoir. Just a thought. I had a similar setup on a reservoir for my saltwater reef tank. Great video and looking forward to the results.

Hi Robert, of course, most time we place the Max on the shelf or desk, and then pump water from the reservoir on the ground.

After buying a cheap Chinese one from Amazon which do almost everything this one does, minus a few auto things, I think it might be overpriced for what you get honestly. If the ph scale was built in do the system, that might be different but if you do hydroponic then you see that most of these things are just automatic things that only take about 5-10mins a week to do. Do like the app though
