I grow flowers and vegetables in Saskatchewan, Canada. My cold hardiness zone is zone 3b. I have an average of 110 frost free growing days each year. The past few years have seen our temperatures go as low as -37C (-34.6F) to as high as 37C (98.6F). Come see what and how I grow in these conditions.

I had the smaller version of the LetPot LPH - a great bit of kit. Best indoor hydro that I have tested 🙂
    Have a great weekend PPG

It’s nice to have more planting space. I’m still trying to figure out the self watering.

It’s nice to have a way to grow things this easily inside in the winter.

You’re supposed to use the stickers to cover the seeds from being exposed to any light, until germination.

I'm a poor Widow so....Far too expensive for me to be honest, but the smaller one really would produce the greens I need over winter, but still too expensive. I like a mixed colour lettuce and that would fill the brief. Shame really, I would really have liked on of these. But wait.... I can still grow pea shoots.. not everything is lost.

These types of systems are certainly not inexpensive.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago and every time I use the auto refill it keeps over flowing out of the top of my unit. Do you know if there is any way to mess with the water level sensor to “trick” the system into not filling up so much?

I am working on an update regarding the auto fill. Mine has never overfilled. Is yours sitting level?

@@PrairiePlantgirl yes it is sitting level on a shelf. It was crazy because I had it hooked up to a 5 gallon water jug and it just kept filling and spilling over the sides and filling. Good thing I got home when I did. I decided to just remove the sensor and manually fill it from now on. I emailed LetPot and told them the problem and they sent me out an entire new unit for free.

@Picklerick5 that’s a good response. Hopefully it was just a defective unit.
