Thanks for the update! I recently purchased one, and I watched your video as I set mine up. Your video helped a lot! Watching you videos really helped me make a better informed choice and understand how to best use it. This also helps me extend my short growing season and makes eating healthy easier in the colder months. Thanks again for making informative videos!

Great review I was wondering if you were going to do one. So when you were talking about the cleaning of the reservoir of algae it made me think about having a algae eating fish like a placostomous hanging around in the tank munching on algae. Thought of aquarium snails but maybe not them.

I will be revisiting the system from time to time. Having anything in the tank would be if they can handle the nutrients and anything else added they hydrogen peroxide and/or CalMag. Maybe the snails? Not really sure. But a good thought. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I got mine around the same time. The only thing i have struggled with is the algae. Trying some 12% food grade hydrogen peroxide. Outside of that, its awesome.

Glad you like it. I think we all struggle with algae. Sadly that’s part of indoor gardening. But hey no bad weather ever! ❤️

It’s still my all time favorite system! I got mine just a bit after you got your first one! 💚 Thank you so much for all the growing tips!

Dang...the smoke for the Gardyn system is palpable lol.
I actually just started my return for the Gardyn to get this iHarvest.
Been watching your videos, and I think it was one of the contributing factors for changing course. So thank you for all your tips and info!

Do you use a ph multimeter, or the drops? I find that the drops are a lot easier, and I'm not always calibrating the digital meters. The one that came with my units had issues (Batteries oxidized in the meter) and I am waiting on a replacement. I do I have say that their customers service is fast and responsive.

I switched to all BlueLab meters. The blue lab truncheon which measures all nutrient levels (EC/PPM x500 and PPMx700 also ECcm) and it doesn’t ever have to be calibrated. Then I use the BlueLab PH pen which is easy to calibrate. They are pricey but they are the best I have ever used. The rest are all just junk to me :). Here is my PH pen review from last year. ruclips.net/video/IFLSx5CcidI/видео.htmlsi=8ZN0N99qwYWEfLkH As well as the truncheon so you can see what I am referring too. Good luck! ruclips.net/video/Kf5io8xDFgg/видео.htmlsi=Zgeqwa4NhnKUPl9T

Can you grow onions along with lettuce at the same time? Do they take the same nutrients and nutrient levels well?
I've heard that trying to grow lettuce & tomatoes at the same time or in the same iHarvest at the same time can be tricky, since they supposedly need different PH levels? Or is there a particular tomato that does well with the same Ph as lettuce?

The green onions are more like an herb level nutrient. The tomatoes flower so anything that flowers then fruits needs higher. Tomatoes with lettuce will stung the tomatoes or burn the lettuce. But I have done the chives or green onion with lettuces. Just have to find a happy medium for both. Hope that helps!

Thanks Angie. That seems to be the consistent answer. So if I can't afford 2 full size iHarvests, I should grow lettuce in iHarvest and tomatoes in my uHarvest or vice versa?
Last year, I got a late start on the tomatoes and made some rookie mistakes, and after a couple months, when the 3 tomato plants that were doing well outgrew the uHarvest unit, I moved them outside. I finally got cherry tomato fruit that I could eat around Labor Day and ate the last ones on Thanksgiving Day.
I'm going to get an earlier start this year. But I would like to grow some larger tomatoes then just the little cherry size. They're good & tasty, but a bit too small for my needs.

@MrX-zz2vk you could always run a full growing cycle or season of something higher nutrient. Then switch to lettuce later. If you have a uHarvest I love that one for the lettuces too. They fit nicely. I did full size tomatoes. They were large cherry. It’s was quite the mess but fun to try. I also use these units to start for outside gardens as well. Good luck!
