They pulled the same trick again this year. Pretend it's an audience picked by an independent polling company when in reality it's a hand picked lefty audience.
Why do we even need audiences on these debates? They don't represent me and they swing the vote with their applause and jeers. Nigel's right as per bloody usual.
Very good question. Its like when you see old TV shows, and the fake audiences screaming with laughter at things which aren't really funny at all. These debates don't need audience ques to tell people watching, when to boo, laugh or scream unnecessary childish abuse! The BBC makes no effort in hiding its blatant loaded questions whatsoever, and it's so insanely obvious, that it has the complete opposite effect to the hatchet job they planned. :) God bless Nigel... one of the greatest people in politics to have ever existed.

Very brave Nigel. As a member of the real audience I appreciate the fact that you are so beyond all the nonsense of the other parties. When the other leaders speak you just look straight ahead, you are beyond them, so many of us are. It took me a long time to wake up, I was a Labour voter three times, then voted once each for the Liberals, Greens and Conservatives. I really tried to understand them. But Labour led us into foreign wars and the both Labour and the Conservatives gave away our sovereignty to Europe. I thought well, I'll vote Green, you can't dislike them and all the other parties try to have a bit of green in their policies to look good! But I notice to my horror that the greens want to build 500,000 new houses in our overcrowded island. This is ungreen and unsustainable. Watching this I feel the other leaders are like members of a cult. They are all sining from the same hymnbook, although perhaps they are on different pages. When Nigel speaks it all makes sense. So real people, here is our representative, you know what you've got to do, go out on election day and do it.
richard richardson Well if a man raises the issue of the extreme cost of treating HIV patients who are not from our country, is a good reason to get on a high horse then you would say that. Ask yourself should the NHS spend £1billion on treating non contributors or put the money on the front line for UK residents? Obviously the LibLabCon (SMP,PC -lol) would push asking these desperate people to pay £20,000 upfront for treatment that is given freely. TBH it's more practical to say we cannot afford to treat them than to lie about believing that you can ask a poor African for £20,000 a year. Their governments should pay, or charities but not the British tax payer!
David Holdstock I don't want an arguement but I am curious as to what you would do other than build more houses. Even if we were to completely stop all immigration and confiscate the property foreign born people live in, we would still need to build more houses to compensate for new-born brits. Is this still ungreen and unsustainable?
It gets better than that. The privately educated Australian champagne socialist is in full support of the total freedom of movement laws for all people in Europe. How exactly does she think these free moving peoples get around, by foot, by bicycle, by swimming? When they are here, does she honestly think that they don't routinely return to their countries of origin to see friends, family and home sweet home? Presumably, they all do this by walking and swimming? Just as she travelled the 9,443 miles from Australia to the UK on foot so as to keep her carbon footprint as low as possible!
Stanislav Good question. We would build more houses, but not so many, and put those on brownfield sites. It should also be remembered that family breakdown is another driver towards building more houses, so perhaps this could be addressed in some way. I realise we are living in a society that requires growth and house-building, but I have to wonder what end date do the advocates of mass house-building have in my mind. By which year will we have enough houses? We could in theory, and probably in practice, concrete over the entire country within a century.

I am not a UKIP supporter, but let's be honest the audience were completely biased (or those that upreared were). It seems, in my opinion, that the audience as well as the panel was anti-UKIP. Couldn’t agree with you more. It’s like when I see a member of Joe Public on TV being interviewed in the street, I lunge for the remote 🤬 Studio audiences are hand-picked. For example, that Italian looking woman claiming to be black on QT, placed there for effect, who promptly got shot down by Lawrence Fox - God bless him! 😈
Thomas Edgerley don't presume to speak for others pal. a lot of us think UKIP is a one trick pony run by a guy who is about as close to the "man on the street" as the Queen is.
raverdeath100 Indeed you might but here on RUclips people interpret this as anti-BBC or pro-UKIP, I'm just saying the effect the BBC is going for will not work as well with the YT audience.
raverdeath100 There are far more people on RUclips who support UKIP's ideals compared to consumers of the BBC. That comment is fact, not opinion. Although UKIP may be a minority when sat next to the Conservatives and Labour, they are, in fact contenders for third. They're on track to finish 3rd in the race which is all UKIP will want/need.
Since this so called 'debate' it's been proven that he was exactly right about the audience...just a shame the BBC hasn't made a public/formal apology. But I suppose the BBC has to earn the multi-million pound donation it gets from the EU every year.
Or maybe they live nowhere near the studio? Or maybe the studio can only accommodate so many people and they did not have the time or money to get a ticket with the associated travel costs and hotel room? Maybe they could not get the time off work? Maybe some were I’ll? Ever think about those possibilities? Also Farage is there which blows your ‘Farage is lazy’ argument out of the water.
Nigel Farage was absolutely correct. The audience WAS biased and selected to be so. The BBC say otherwise but then again they would since they deeply support the Labour Party. I like others noted how the audience went quiet when Nigel mentioned immigration. That alone proved Nigel's point. The considerable majority of the people of this country, including those immigrants who came here years ago, raised families, worked hard and contributed. They all equally feel cheated. They are annoyed that mass uncontrolled immigration is STILL happening. Our country and all of our services are being flooded. It's allowing mass cheap "Labour" allowing employers to abuse those in low paid jobs. The lefties and luvvies only ever moan about an ageing population while choosing to ignore that fact that those older people all worked, paid taxes and N.I., whereas the mass flood of migrants have not. In some cases they never intend to do so. They can obtain money to sent abroad to families who don't even live here. Ask anyone in the street and the answer will be the same. Ask it of a BBC audience or those in the media or the luvvies, and you somehow get a different response. It is also amazing how many people still believe Ed M, the Green whacko's, or the other nitwits despite being cheated by one and all at every turn. No wonder the MP's think the voters are thick!
raverdeath100 Ah yes, the 4th largest party in the commons. Don't you think if assumption of discrimination was a BBC concern UKIP would have had more difficulty getting a podium?
Thomas Edgerley BBC discrimination against an organisation? Absurd! /sarcasm How are the EU funded "research projects" coming along BBC? They must be far advanced by now considering they gave you millions!
Wins debate against 4 people then decides to take on the audience too and David Dimbleby. Balls of steel. At 0.46 he pauses so they can boo him and thus proving his point. Master at work.
Independent organization? ...who selected this organization? ...who is paying for its services? ...what did the contract stipulate? This shit goes on in Sweden as well, where media will act like saints and speak about how fair they are - while each and every employee is a member of the communist party. (ofcourse it's not called the communist party these days - but their agenda is the same) I think Farage hit the nail on the head when stating that the real audience was indeed sitting at home.
Followed Nigel Farage long before his popularity exploded from him grilling those in the EU. The man is the only thing left to get corruption, lies and deceit out of the political/financial sphere. Unfortunately, i think it's going to take a catastrophic event for the general public to realize how right he truly is (Economic strife/war). The same goes for Ron Paul over the pond in the states - a man with great promise and real hard hitting beliefs who has the nations interests at heart.
Thingamajigs may not want to lose hope ...rand paul ... ron paul son ... is running for president in 2016.. nigel farage spoken to them both .....in person ....with the same political views......hopefully .........when nigel farage become prime minster... and rand paul president .... with the guidance of his father.. ...it would be a awesome tag team.... cheers from america
Speaking as a person who doesn't know too much about politics, I have to say that Nigel Farage is perhaps the only British politician who isn't afraid to speak the truth on the world stage. Like the ITV debate a few weeks ago, he was the only one last night to directly answer all questions thrown at him instead of covering his own arse to sound 'good' and get lame applause from the audience like the other four did. None of the four answered his view on Britain having an Australian Style Point System, they just regurgitated their pre-rehearsed statements that whilst semi-legit, were completely irrelevant to the question. Farage is not interested in pleasing a hand-picked BBC audience. It is the people who do not like to hear the truth (which unfortunately constitutes most of Britain and the audience last night) that despise him. In hindsight, he was probably right to challenge the audience as 90% of them were left-wing socialists. It was effectively 200 vs 1. I'm not saying that everything he says is correct but acts like that show that he is a courageous and bold individual who means Britain well and more importantly, isn't afraid to speak the brutal truth about current affairs. I'd definitely want someone like that to be my leader. Then again this is just my opinion; I'm well aware of the shitstorm of an argument this post will produce..
I would much rather have a PM who isn't afraid to speak his mind and stand by his beliefs than one who is scared to say anything of the sort. You want a leader... Then act like one. Farage has that quality.
Nigel Farage: This audience is pretty left wing. David Dimbleby: This audience was chosen, not by the BBC, but by an independent polling organisation to represent the balance of all parties. ENTIRE AUDIENCE APPLAUDS TO NIGEL FARAGE GETTING TOLD.
I heard audience support for some things he said, and disapproval for others. You can't just pull "it's a fix! I'm being oppressed!" crap when people decide to disagree with you.
kilbraur He wasn't criticizing the audience, he was criticizing the leftist in studio peanut gallery. As he said the real audience was home. Factual inaccuracy? The audience was selected to represent the political leanings of the leaders. 4/5 of the leaders were leftists. There was nothing factually inaccurate.
Corey3O6 "There seems to be a total lack of comprehension...and among this audience." that is a criticism of the audience. It's being critical of their comprehensive powers. FACT
TheHuntw2 Agreed, but then who is? Come the crunch of putting a cross on a ballot paper those who claim to support ukip will bottle it and vote Tory or BNP as per usual

Looks like Nigel was right. If the “independently chosen representative audience” had been chosen correctly, there would have been more Leavers than Remainers. That evidently was not the case and the national Referendum result proves that Nigel was correct and that the BBC audience was the antithesis of representative.
I would like to hear what is said but there is no sound! Pity. My personal experience is that a very great many people in the media decry Brexit forever and a day as something as something cataclysmic! There is often an imbalance in debates between opposing sides. What I hate most is this persistent shouting over one another's voices and then I simply cannot follow or understand very much at all.
At least he was honest refreshing to see a politician who can tell it like it is ..I guess the public have been so used to being lied to and told how and what to think for to long and along comes Mr farage. Well done you !
NoisydoesMinecraft Why would you be on the BBC anyway when they admitted 70% of the audience was left? They're giving Nigel his own TV show for 30 mins on 30th April because of what happened.
Don't agree with everything Nigel Farage says, but he was right about this. The BCC is very left wing and does cherry pick it's audiences. It used to be impartial but not for a long time now.
He's completely fucking correct. I've seen people discussing how to get on any BBC show. You say you're anything right of the conservatives and your chances of being included drop like a fucking stone.

Adam Browne NO DON'T!
Adam Browne YES DO!
Adam Browne Tell me why should I vote for a party which wants to scrap our human rights and replace it with UKIPs own human rights?
because the rights we will have, will be done in a BRITISH COURT NOT BRUSSELS!
But by voting UKIP you give up your human rights!
“Very carefully” 😂
Total Boss Farage for PM!!
BBC, you had the moment on iPlayer where there is a live audience, the RUclips audience is far more pro UKIP, this was a bad move.
Thomas Edgerley and as i said, don't presume to speak for the YT audience. UKIP is a minority. deal with it.
raverdeath100 A large minority. Come on UKIP!!!
raverdeath100 There are far more people on RUclips who support UKIP's ideals compared to consumers of the BBC. That comment is fact, not opinion. Although UKIP may be a minority when sat next to the Conservatives and Labour, they are, in fact contenders for third. They're on track to finish 3rd in the race which is all UKIP will want/need.
Nigel we are with you , we don't want to be a part of EU, if this is the case we will be the part of all over the world, all of us work together
Go Nigel, Go Nigel!!
Nigel is a useless man. He shouldn't win, and won't win.
He's a liar a populist and a C
I GOT YOUR BACK FARAGIO!!
Nigel is correct once again.
Since this so called 'debate' it's been proven that he was exactly right about the audience...just a shame the BBC hasn't made a public/formal apology. But I suppose the BBC has to earn the multi-million pound donation it gets from the EU every year.
this guy is a god tbh
He’s right, none of those people say there represent me and so many others
He's right though. Voting UKIP!
It very carefully chosen indeed. Disgraceful.
This sort of thing is not unusual for him, you should try hearing him in Strasbourg and Brussels. Grow a backbone folks!
The amount of times I've watched question time and "oh boy is it a left orientated audience"
He was bloody right! At the 2017 election debate the audience was basically 90% momentum
Nigel is coming, love from Scotland
'Never a good idea to attack the audience,' depends what audience it is.
He has a point! Real audience is at home 💪
Yep so lazy then just like him
Or maybe they live nowhere near the studio? Or maybe the studio can only accommodate so many people and they did not have the time or money to get a ticket with the associated travel costs and hotel room? Maybe they could not get the time off work? Maybe some were I’ll?
Ever think about those possibilities?
Also Farage is there which blows your ‘Farage is lazy’ argument out of the water.
I meant ill, not I’ll, damn mobile predictive texting.
Why was every member of this "impartial" and "independently selected" audience clapping against Nigel?
' This is an audience that has been carefully chosen ' - says it all .
I'm from France and if i was english i'd definitively vote for him.
You are a bell sweat
Another barrage from Farage
Proved his point when they applauded Dimbleby
He was right then as he is now.
Out of interest where was the DUP?!!
raverdeath100 I'm sorry, I'm afraid of misinterpretation. Is your view the BBC being discriminatory or the DUP?
Thomas Edgerley DUP
raverdeath100 Ah yes, the 4th largest party in the commons.
Thomas Edgerley NI parties have separate debates from the mainland parties.
Farage 10 - 0 Audience.
(ofcourse it's not called the communist party these days - but their agenda is the same)
I think Farage hit the nail on the head when stating that the real audience was indeed sitting at home.
Genius! The real audience are sitting at home!
Aged like milk lmao
Nigel is right of course - the truth hurts doesn't it.
*Yawn*... Still voting UKIP.
Mr Farage do you want to go fifty fifty, phone a friend...or insult the audience.
“Why are you booing me? I’m right!”
Utter utter legend
Criticising the audience is a bad tactical error, especially when you do it on a factual inaccuracy.
kilbraur He wasn't criticizing the audience, he was criticizing the leftist in studio peanut gallery. As he said the real audience was home. Factual inaccuracy?
The audience was selected to represent the political leanings of the leaders. 4/5 of the leaders were leftists. There was nothing factually inaccurate.
kilbraur - It's not like that lot were going to vote for him anyway...........
Kilbraur - I think there will come a time when people have had of the lies and deceit of the main parties. Maybe this election people won't bottle it.
Hey, you British nerds, enjoy your day at work tomorrow
BBC , it says it all
Balls of steel
If you haven’t already done so, get off your backside and VOTE REFORM, the ONLY PARTY OF COMMON SENSE, for the sake of YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Looks like Nigel was right. If the “independently chosen representative audience” had been chosen correctly, there would have been more Leavers than Remainers. That evidently was not the case and the national Referendum result proves that Nigel was correct and that the BBC audience was the antithesis of representative.
why is the audience even there? to teach millions of viewers at home when to clap and who to hate?
I would like to hear what is said but there is no sound! Pity. My personal experience is that a very great many people in the media decry Brexit forever and a day as something as something cataclysmic! There is often an imbalance in debates between opposing sides. What I hate most is this persistent shouting over one another's voices and then I simply cannot follow or understand very much at all.
“Very carefully”
Third party thinktanks are hardly independent.
it got worse .. did you see the stitch up during the general election?
Boy was he correct
At least he was honest refreshing to see a politician who can tell it like it is ..I guess the public have been so used to being lied to and told how and what to think for to long and along comes Mr farage. Well done you !
Audience is middle class and not working class.. .. Endof... Tony cuenca
Spot on.
I love this man
Farage always ahead of the game.
unfathomably based
Of course real Audience are Here in our Homes.
It get on my nerves the way Nigel Farage is ALWAYS right😂😂😂😂
I think we can all say that those 48 seconds were not well spent, i was expecting a brawl between the audience and Nigel :(
He still won the referendum
I love Farage's logic. If the audience doesn't agree with you, they're biased lefties. BLOODY GENIUS!
***** The BBC admitted it was a biased audience afterwards.
Nigel Farage is one sharp cookie.
They hate the truth
I would be on bbc side but after topgear, GO NIGEL!!
NoisydoesMinecraft Why would you be on the BBC anyway when they admitted 70% of the audience was left? They're giving Nigel his own TV show for 30 mins on 30th April because of what happened.
Farage is right
Rikki Wright He always is.
He’s quite right of course...
Farage is such a g, cannot wait to see him PM
Well said Nigel
So glad this man is now an elected member of parliament, he will really put the cat amongst the pigeons.
Don't agree with everything Nigel Farage says, but he was right about this. The BCC is very left wing and does cherry pick it's audiences. It used to be impartial but not for a long time now.
The audience is picked on question time
Aye he's right no poor people there
He's completely fucking correct. I've seen people discussing how to get on any BBC show. You say you're anything right of the conservatives and your chances of being included drop like a fucking stone.
that audience was handpicked that's the truth, nigel farage again shot the beeb down in flames.
***** 'The Real Audience Is Sat At Home'
Just remember that.
Possibly the greatest comeback I have ever heard.
So now when you see the 'Looney' Left in the audiences acting 'Looney' as usual and all the other 'Looneys' clapping there stupid comments just remember..
The Real Audience is Sat At Home !!
And he was absolutely right.
