@philipfrancis3357 Do you mean, "The joke's on you"? Unfortunately, the British government has betrayed its people. David Cameron never expected to lose the Brexit referendum. He offered it because UKIP was doing so well. It won in the European election, if you remember. Cameron was afraid that UKIP would take votes from the Conservatives in a general election. When he lost the referendum, there was no desire on his part, or on the part of any PM since, to carry out the will of the British people. We still live under laws that were created by the EU. Northern Ireland has been effectively given away to the EU. There have been traitors in government and opposition parties who have been working the whole time since we left to get us to rejoin. The only way to do that is to make conditions so bad here that the people would want to rejoin. Have you watched other nation's Parliamentary sessions? Boring as hell. The other MEP's are probably getting intimidated by the Brexit Party lighting up the EU Parliament every time they attend. They're used to quiet, calm, controlled sessions. Not rapturous, accusatory truths being slung about and finger pointing. They've never had to answer to anyone before the Brexit Party started attending. Not to the same extent anyway
What people of different colour
I've just watched this again, over a year since it was posted. I am so glad we are out. I had forgotten how angry Verhofstadt and the other EU creeps made me. Good riddance to them. The EU will collapse within a few years, taking a whole lot of evil with it. I hope the countries of Europe will each start protecting their own borders and become the wonderful, unique, special countries they once were. I was ecstatic when we won the vote to leave the EU. It's taken a long time to enact, but it's done. Hurray.
Who is laughing now? Uk? EU? jokes on you.
If we had split quickly and cleanly, and if we had been lucky enough to have had an honest government that carried out the will of the people, the UK could have been surging ahead in every area of life. Sadly, we have been stabbed in the back by traitors.
Who is laughing now? Our enemies, at home and abroad. Are you among them?

No one on either side really knew what they were voting for. Thats true. Most of the uk have never taken a degree in economics, and my brother who has a masters has not a clue more than the next person. Even the top economic forecasters got it wrong on the effect the vote in 2016 would have on the economy. The truth is, no one can predict the long term economic effect of Brexit, but it was put to a democratic vote. The government has to respect it. Another referendum on the false assumption leavers have changed their minds is ridiculous. Its more logical to assume the manipulation and dirty tricks to reverse the vote of 2016 has made leavers more passionate about leaving. Another referendum set up to give more choices of leave to dilute the leave vote would never be allowed to happen, so this would drag on for years if Boris doesn't come out on the 31st
Unbelievable arrogance. It will get them all in the end.... hopefully.

I would say Remainers knew less about what they were voting for than Leavers. Most Remainers I know didn't have a clue, and still don't, about what the EU actually is and where it's going. Leavers, on the other hand, knew exactly what they were voting for - an independent, sovereign UK and all that this implies. Brexit was not about economics, and as you say no-one really knows what the economic impact may be - but those who think they know keep getting proven wrong.

Margaret Cooper because we pay a large sum of money to the EU and they don’t want to lose it
Plus, we mess up their plans, of developing the EU army, which will grow into a global army! This is all part of the New World Order! Note the Order! As if we have no choice. They want one currency, one Army, one religion. We are just pawns, in their big game. They forget there is a GOD, that reveals all! Down with dictatorship! From the shape of our bananas, fruit, veg, salads, to the size of my kitchen cupboards, the EU sucks! We don’t even get a say, in who rules us, who indeed does? No one knows!
I won’t be told who I am, that I am dumb & didn’t know what I voted for! GOD gives us choice, man takes our choices & free will & speech away! The EU goes way beyond, a nice little coming together of nations! In my eye, the EU is just another limb, of the Antichrist! xxx
It's like a nasty break up.

The underlying point of the sort of argument voters of Brexit don't know what they are voting for is not a question of the individual but rather an issue of the collective consensus of Brexit. I've heard of some leftist voting leave for the off chance we can join with Russia to rise up in a socialist movement - Lexit they call it. I'm sure you wouldn't want to be associated or lumped in with that lot and if over 1.9% of those wanting to leave would prefer to remain in the E.U. than compromise with the specific route we take - wether remaining in the EEA or any other position then there was not a majority for Brexit so we should and must stay in the E.U. - to be decided by a second referendum.
