Its like she flipping the moods differently with her voice. When I heard this on the radio I had to look up the song due to how it made me Feel, I understand the likeness it attracts 💙👍🏽🤙🤘🤟🤞✌☯️
The first time I ever heard LeAnn was at a concert in Lawton, OK in 1996. The song "Blue" had only come out about six months prior. I think she was 14 years old. I was in the press pit right below the stage. She was such a little girl with a very big voice. She sang a couple of songs and somebody from the audience kept yelling, "Yodel, LeAnn, yodel". As she started the third song they yelled out again. She had every right to be annoyed but she wasn't. Instead, she raised up her hand to stop the band and said, "Okay boys, I need to yodel", and with that, she began singing "Cowboy's Sweetheart". When she began to yodel everyone went crazy and the entire audience rose to their feet. She was incredible.
@@daphneepaul3737 listen to this song. you will hear her voice bounce from a lower note quickly to a higher note and back again. Yodeling is made up of a whole lot of that note bouncing in sequence. A lot of cowboy songs have it. It originated in the alpine mountain regions of Europe, Switzerland, Austria, Bavaria, etc. Search for Leeann singing "Cowboy's Sweetheart" and you will hear her yodeling.
When you hear her sing this song, you can understand why it was originally written for Patsy Cline. She does a great job. I want to learn to do that Yodel thing when she sings the word Blue, but it isn't easy if you are not raised with Country music.
For some individuals, talent is born within them, I'm just glad they portray it out & about to entertain others. Some practice & actually get good, they have to motivate themselves upon holding the ability 😊🤓💙
@Stafon Von Camron, There’s a video of Leann singing “How do I live” from 2017 and she sounds every bit as great as she does here and everybody in the comments mentions how she hasn’t lost even a little bit of her voice and still sounds phenomenal.
Bill Mack gave it to the perfect person to sing it right like Patsy Cline would have sung it. Beautiful song and a lovely, talented young lady who made it a hit.
yes but be aware the song was not written for Patsy Cline he only decided later to possibly have her maybe sing it. The song already existed as he cried in his beer and he was playing it over the radio thus it was not written for Cline actually.
@Pastor David J. Miner Stop, please. I am not of THAT breed. I'm a Christian: Live and let live, love and aid those who need us. Leave me alone, please
Brings me straight back to my child hood! I record this concert on VHS and replayed it for MONTHS after it aired! I thought it was just the best thing ever!!!! Wow can I go back to being a kid in the 90’s watching this!!!
Yep I wish I could go back to the being a kid in the 90s again bc it was literally the best decade and it should of been bc it was the last of that century.. Disney Channel was playing this a lot if I remember correctly
Did you call in for the contest too? If you remember there was a contest when this premiered on Disney where you had to sing "Blue" 😅 I tried calling but the lines were busy. Thank God lol
Kinda gets annoying not witnessing more talents like this... Editing & customizing the voices now pretty much ruins some music. Original performance like this is rare nowadays
Kinda gets annoying that modern music gets chopped up to “auto tune.” Do you realize that there’s a lot of good modern stuff out there? You’re only saying this shit because you’re old and think your time was the best because you don’t want to accept that your glory days are gone and dead and slammed into the dirt unceremoniously.
She still has amazing talent. That doesn't just go away unless you destroy your vocal chords. One of her problems is she needed better original material after Blue. Her dad insisted on managing her and he knew nothing about the industry. He had her do albums with songs like 'God Bless America' on them. It was terrible material for her. It's not enough to have the voice, you have to have great material and great management to be a long running success.
I can't believe my memory has failed me all these years later! I could have SWORN that LeAnn performed this at Disney-MGM, but from the looks of it, this looks like it was filmed in what is now known as Disney Springs? So was it someone else at Disney-MGM? I remember watching this Disney special on Disney channel back when I was 11. I even recorded it on VHS. The next year is when *NSYNC did their Disney "in concert". But LeeAnn Rhimes was the first Disney in Concert. I don't know how many they ended up having.

I saw her 25 years ago in concert in Vegas. My first concert my dad took me too bc I would always play this song in the jukebox while on vacation in Laughlin and Havasu.
A most perfect performance! I can hear everything of it, anytime it comes to mind..., and it comes to mind, every day, sometimes all day long, ever since I 1st heard it, a couple of weeks ago:-)
HEARD IT twice in one day at Gillette stadium 2008. She did this song in the lot with Kenny Chesney and then in the stadium as part of her opening act.
Im still listening to this in 2024! 🎉🎉🎉

I can sing it and I'm not country. But I love it.
The Patsy Cline deals been debunked to the hills. Not that she wouldn't have fit her like a glove.
I don't think I will EVER get sick of hearing this song and Leann's insane voice!
The first time I heard her sing this song, I knew she was going places! AND she sure has!
A voice like this comes along only once in a generation.
Thank God!
I know right, now I'm just waiting for the next Whitney Houston
