I can't listen to this without crying. I lost my husband to cancer nearly 7 years ago. We were married for 38 years and loved one another so deeply that it nearly killed me after he was gone. I had always hoped and beleived that we'd last until our 90s and would dance on our 60th wedding anniversary to this song. But it wasn't meant to be. I love him with all my heart and always will. I'll never find another love as true as ours.

BEAUTIFUL, How lucky you were to find your soul mate among the billions on people on this planet. My wife and I have been married 55 years, and I know it's close for one of us, I can't even imagine this scenario, but I can almost feel it every day.

I remember driving my dads truck after he passed and he had this in his cassette player (this was in 2009.....he had a 91 Ford F-150 Lariat, in IMMACULATE condition). I remember turning the truck on, and this song starting, and I just sat there crying. Every time I hear this song, it makes me tear up. I remember going to rodeos with my dad when I was 5-6.....he rode the bulls and I rode calves....my sister did barrel racing......Oh what I would give to have it to do all over again.

George Strait portrays the statute and characteristics of a true American Gentleman and his music is phenomenal. I remember so well when Adam Lambert, on "american idol" could just not find a country song to sing. Not his thing you know, what a clown to not realize there are tons of songs like this from the country anthology, he could have "found it in himself" to sing.

I think this song gives us all hope that this kind of technology can be used for good. We have a man in our congregation that has ALS and we are praying that we can record his voice so that we can hear his prayers long after he is gone from us. Remember: what that devil uses for evil, God will use for good. I love this - God bless you Randy Travis!

I have had three marriages, first gave me two kids and we lost their mother and I raised them by myself. Then I met a lady and fell for her. Turned out to be hell on earth but I made it 26 years before walking away and giving her the ranch and taking only my truck, dog, and saddle. After a bad spell in East Texas I met a lady from a ranch 60 miles south of Amarillo. We both rodeoed, her as a barrel racer and break away and I roped calf's. Happy now, love each other and spend a lot of time with the horses and some cattle, swapping rodeo stories, horses we've had, people we knew and just enjoying our lives. Oh yeah, it ain't a country western band without a fiddle.
