I’m so glad and excited for you … seeing the Gleaner come down the drive and seeing you drive it with the family put a big grin on my face! Looking forward to seeing it perform for you starting with the wheat. We’ll see, but I predict that you will be pleasantly surprised in corn compared to the Class.
You guys made dad's day ! The Gleaner , memories , memories !!! I watch Lawrence Bernard , Meredith Bernard run their Gleaner , amazing people , & piece of farm Equipment ! Stay safe , enjoy ?
Excellent taste in Machine's. We lost our family farm a few years back, but we ran Gleaner. Thank You for what you do. I appreciate you. Farmer's are my heroes.
Congrats on the Gleaner & Two things about that greaser: 1. You’ll wonder why you waited so long to get one, we love ours - put them on all our class 8 trucks and all our combines 2. Make sure you use a good high quality grease, that’s not too thick and has a good base - sucks having to unplug a long grease line Why you might ask .... we’ve had a few “grease reservoir explosions” where pressure built up in the system and popped the reservoir lid off. That hasn’t happened on one of the Lincoln models we have but we’ve seen it on the jockey lube systems.
@@BriansFarmingVideos ask your local distributor for a grease that compatible with central lubrication systems, in our part of Virginia there are still mining operations nearby so we use this one, data sheets: www.mobil.com/en/lubricants/for-businesses/industrial/lubricants/product-series/mobilgrease-xhp-mine-series General info: www.mobil.com/en-at/grease/pds/gl-xx-mobilgrease-xhp-mine-series There’s also an LBZ series grease that is specifically for truck chassis but we switched to the one above about 2-3 years ago. Bottom line is, you can run most any brand you want, just make sure it says it’s ok for centralized lube systems. Since those systems constantly pump grease you need one that flows well, most regular grease is designed to “last” so you don’t have to grease as often. With central systems depending on how they are setup they grease at a fixed interval while the machine is on, so grease is always flowing. But what we’ve learned is when the combines sit all winter it’s wise to purge the system before getting into harvest. That way you know grease is flowing. If you use a grease specifically for central systems this is less of a concern but we still check anyway by cycling the system.
Nice gleaner ! we are currently getting our s98s ready for wheat harvest we are going to start wheat late next week. Dad and I bought ours late last year we switched from johndeere to them . Dad tested his out on a 3 acre field today . We upgraded concaves and added extensions to the unload augers and upgraded the straw choppers as well. We went with tracks instead of tires because we deal with mudd during the fall . I think the johndeere would be a sweet grain cart tractor. We use a 9570rt and demco 1300 bushel cart . Great video have a safe and productive wheat harvest!
@@stirv6462 no they require aftermarket tracks . Our are on camso track setups they have either 30 or 36 inch tracks . We had to install them ourselves with some special made components and they are setup for high transport speeds so they can travel up to 20mph . They were expensive but we prefer tracks on most of our equipment for compaction and mudd. We bought a horsch split row planter and had camso tracks put on it as well . Camso is the best system besides saucy . Take care!
Brian I run a cleaner a long time ago I'm 62-year-old back when I was in my teens and twenties I burnt one up in the creek field one time on the counter a bearing went out and that's what we had cell phones and had to run out to call the fire department so the time they got there it was burnt up but I'm glad to see y'all got a new one looks like they would have armor all the tires to make it look like a brand new combine like when you get a new car good luck on your crop this here buddy may God bless you and hope your hand gets better soon got a lot of work ahead of you
Wow, a new Gleaner, silver seeder! I would love to see it up close just to say ,they still make these things! You want something that no one else has! Good luck
Hell YEAH!!! Pappy finally got His Brand New BADASS Combine. It's so Amazing Awesome Beautiful Gleaner Combine. Really Happy for the Family l Pray that everything continues to get better and better every year that goes by. Awesome video as always..
The Gleaner is one mean looking machine. Hopefully it will make for a better harvest time. Glad to see the whole Brown family sharing in the purchase. Top video
Hey Brian I just wanted to share with you that I also cut 2 tendons off in my hand also. I thought it was cool to see someon in the same boat as me. Heal up soon man
I have cerebral palsy on my right side and I drive for a living. Best thing I ever bought for this is a steering knob. You may still be able to hold the combine in a straight line, or anything for that matter with your left hand, so your right in free for the controls. $20 on Amazon. God speed on your recovery. Do you have much pain?
Congrats on the new combine. Drove by Yesterday going to look at the Ancient Mounds. Was not sure which direction to wave, so didn’t. For those visiting Chillicothe OH the staff at the City mounds location were very friendly.
Wow she's pretty......very nice. I'm sure dax will love running it
