    I’ve thought about gleaners but the nearest dealer that works on combines is almost three hours away Deere and casein are 15 minutes away

    We are running a new gleaner s97 with a macdon fd235 just got done doing wheat. We also farm corn and soybeans.

    That operator is putting aa lot of stuff thru the combine. At that speed and an older machine you can only take a guess as to what is coming out the back and on to the ground

    Dont know the target audience but I enjoyed the cummins swap mod. Wouldnt mind knowing other mods done states away along with the action! Our ol silver seeder had hillside guts, soybean special, custom wide rims for rice tires and a stack of weight in the back to keep an orange 6 row corn head up. Anyhow, great coverage & specs!

    Have and still run pair of R60s and a N5, two L2s and an M2. Cut wheat, rye, corn and soybeans.

      How do you like the R60s? I'm looking at one. It's a one owner with 2100 separator hrs. Got a m2 now.

    i bought a r60 gleaner at a dealer 90 miles away for 25 thousand. bean head corn head and wide row corn head i use and a pickup platform .

    That period was the beginning of the end of good looking Gleaners. A bit too modern in design, yet still using classic and superior galvanized sheet metal.

    It says R60g on side. What does the g mean?

      It’s missing some of the original sheetmetal. It used to say gleaner across the side but all that’s left is the G.

    I think they are really decent machines but the older ones don't spread straw worth a $hit. Nice footage tho buddy

      No it is harvesting at a good speed. If the combine was going too fast the wheat would be bending and dragging in head before the sickles cut it.

      I see this comment on every combine I film in Kentucky. Every farm runs this speed in the region. This wheat is 100 bu . And the farmers tell me at long as they are not dragging the wheat and it’s matching combine speed they are in good shape.

      @@bigtractorpower it takes a different approach usually wherever you’re at on a given day. I’ve never been at the helm of an R60 in Kentucky wheat so I’m no expert. Thanks for capturing the use of Ag machines across the nations for us!

      @@get__some I most def agree the old stuff with no sensors and emissions BS. Them macdons are heavy. That machine wouldn’t have the lift capacity or the weight to raise it. But would be cool as hell to see

    I'm not trying to cause trouble with the Gleaner fans watching this bc I know they make a good machine, but for the life of me I can't figure out how guys find these silver trapezoids appealing-looking? Gotta be the ugliest-built combine in the industry.

      Looks don't harvest grain. There's a lot of room to access the concave and engine. Back door folds down and has steps to make getting in easy. Run one, you'll change your mind.

      No, modern plastic blobs from JD, Claas, etc are butt ugly. Nothing is better looking than a galvanized Gleaner with sheet metal, the way machines were supposed to be made.
