Brings back and also makes lots of memories. They are special machines. I still remember Agco representatives coming out to the fields to talk to farmers like my grandfather to get their feedback and personal knowledge on perfecting Gleaner for optimization. If anyone truly pays attention it's clear they are man's desire to achieve greatness through consumer demands. Their way of achievement with these S-Series and also the red Massey/Challenger (Agco) tractor was to climb mountains higher then big industry of unlimited resources like the green and other manufacturers but they still accomplished the best while having the most strategic and budget smaller just by actually listening and caring to customers. Years ago while custom harvesting my grandfather proved why his R-72 and 75 along with other models 62 and 65 were the most logical machine on a profit based decision and loving and understanding them with proper maintenance and settings proved machine unstoppable as well. That's where I stand .

Man... The way you film with the drone is one of the best I've seen on YT. And there's lots of agricultural channels here. Keep the good work. You're really good!!! BTW. My father had an R72 Gleaner 20 years ago. I'm still in love with the sound and character of that combine. Here in Argentina we don't se them very often.
Western Canada was quite dry this season - one of the worst we've seen - so yields were way down from "normal". So yields varied from the low 30 bushels per acre - or less - to the low 50's like this field. More normal over a good year should see yields at over 70 to 80 bu/A
I would love some commentary. I've never heard or seen a Gleaner before what makes them stand out? why did you select them over the other more typical brands ( red, green, yellow )? cool to see them in action but you've missed an opportunity to explain these beasts.
The silver one is a bigger combine and so has more capacity - and newer. More HP and bigger hopper. Both were doing a good job of threshing and very little loss.
That's a shame that all parts of Canada can have a good crop like that her Montana North Dakota and South Dakota lot of people aren't going to have a crop this year
That's a mediocre crop at best - lots of Western Canada is similar to Montana - super dry till now. Spring wheat struggled to get to 40 bu/A in most cases. Canola anywhere from 5 to 15 for lots of guys
It’s amazing how much effort goes into each harvest.

@Mr Do you have RUclips manual or something that back's up your statement?
@Mr or maybe you own RUclips perhaps?
You have created such a beautiful life surrounded by nature
THERE IS SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT GLEANER COMBINES

Great video how fast are you cutting mph
Great video!
Crop looks not too bad for the year we had.
They got an extra inch or so of rain that most didn't. Makes all the difference
@@peterloewen3201 what is a yeald per acre? I' have spring wheat this year in south-east Europe...

The last Gleaner I ran was a K model I believe tiny little machine.
Do they essentially have the same cab as an ideal? They look similar

Gleaner is easier to self-service than the other brands. They also use a different orientation of the rotor (they use a transverse rotor).
Are they leaving Windrows to bale?? Or is that all they spread?
Bales were there the next day....
@@peterloewen3201 how does the silver compare to the Red one?

ITS A PITY THEY ARE NOT MARKETED IN ENGLAND
That chaff row it’s leaving. Your doing that to bale or is that how it’s spreads. I’ve seen that before behind the gleaners
It's on purpose. They have the spreaders off.
