Having your son with you as much as you can will leave a lasting impression on him and make memories that will last a lifetime. Cherish these moments life moves fast.
If you get a new combine/Draper. Get your self a Crary reel or wind system. You will be amazed at what they will do. Short beans or tall beans. All the shatter losses are basically gone. Been running their wind system systems since 1998. Every 5 years we trade. A few times we just switched the reels from head to head. It’s worth the money. They pay for themselves fast.
Bob really likes that combine. Thank you for videoing. Very interesting.
Thanks for watching
No Squishy no party!! Miss you everybody I'm doing fine btw
Pretty sure you put the channel over 100k. Good work squish 👍
@@scottk8245R team effort, Brian did most of the job but it would not have been posible without the spark George and myself bring into the channel.
Valid point.
Still in awe that there’s an S9 series Gleaner on one of my favorite farm channels!!!!! Super stoked!!!! THANK YOU AGCO for helping getting this done!!
In Alabama a toboggan is a sock hat. One fact about the Gleaners, nothing is left for the birds! What yall do is very important and we truly appreciate what you do everyday! Thanks for sharing your harvest in more ways than one!
Gleaners really shine in corn. We run a R-65 and do high moisture custom harvesting for a dairy farm in our area. If you take your time with them you will be highly impressed with the sample and the job they do.
Ever have the separator grate plug with cobs? All of our gleaners have had that problem.
@@johnpowers1125 we have never had that problem. In high moisture corn we are only going 2.5 - 3.0 mph otherwise you just send it out the back. In dry corn we usually go 4 - 4.5 and don’t have any problems with cobs.
Called a Toque in Northern Ontario !! Keeps your head warm on those minus days !! your drone shots hit it out of the park nicely done Brian
Those are some sweet harvesters might have to but it on bucket list to take a ride on one ...back in 1965 I was 11yrs old and spent summer on a 95 JD harvesting grains dusty, hot, noisey and don't plug it up ...thier was a lot of straw to dig out...seems you had a pretty good season with little down time..great videos
We run an Gleaner R-52 for corn & a John Deere 8820 Titan II in beans. The Gleaner flat out eats corn. Can go about 3.4 mph with a 6 row head. Love the Gleaner maintenance wise. Seems so much simpler than our 8820 & other combines i've seen.
Boy, Brian, those drone videos, are really spectacular! Probably, because I'm an old Gleaner fan, I really enjoyed that portion. The Gleaners, way back when had some bad press, but they were kind of true. They were called, thin tinned piss pots, silver seaders, but there have been a lot of acres covered by Gleaners, over the years. Thanks for taking the time to film them.
It was really nice to see you both enjoy the Gleaner. Brian, your dad was in his glory........good to see. Looks like this Gleaner demo was one of your favorites for all of you. Even BJ drove it!! Would be awesome to see you get one for good. Be safe Brown farms.👍👍
That was a nice combine thanks for sharing it with us!
Where the strength of the GLEANER design shows, 8000 + lbs. Lighter, separator design.. Very few machines can clean your pay check like a GLEANER, less moving parts - less maintenance and less initial capital input
Brian,
Watched, "Dirt,Grain,and Steel". They're testing a Gleaner S67 with a FD70 MacDon head.
The controls and display are old school with a modern touch.
Y'all share alot in common. Your Dad's opinion, the 1 versus 2 combine question, and beans with corn.
Just passing this along.
Thanks again for another video.
I think the gleaner would be a great choice for your farm! 😉👍😎
Enjoyed watching the gleaner combine hope too see one again .on your farm on corn see how that does on 🌽.
I love how you improved with your guitar! The lessons are paying off! lol.
That's Awesome Dax wants to go with everyday and the fact you take him nice.
got my like in ...watching now...I am just that confident in the content :)
Some pretty cool drone footage Brian👍
I still think a Gleaner will be under Dad’s Christmas tree!!!! Enjoyed. 40’ bean and corn head. A Crary air reel too!!!!
Great Vlog, good to see you making good progress though the beans, winter is coming, keep on cutting (beans). thanks
Good show. Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always!!!
I'm looking forward for the combine report.
Its nice seeing dad thear smile running the combine S97. He mit be. A sold costumer on it brain ps how mom doing great video god bless
Sure has been fun watching the Gleaner!! It would be awesome if y’all get one!!!
Always have fun watching the videos always something to learn on this channel as well the family times
Thanks for watching
Don't feel to bad Brian about the flashing icon. It would be logical to me to have a flashing bin(top portion of the icon) for grain capacity and a flashing box for combine internal troubles. Great videos. I did watch a great video comparing a Gleaner to a JD in the same wheat field. The lighter less powerful Gleaner was a whole lot more productive that the big JD. Fuel per acre was considerably better. Over the life of a machine that could add to a substantial sum.
Love that combine
Thanks for the video.
We always called it a tobogan in souuthern Indiana. Love your channel.
Thanks for watching
Brian, both identical combines, you can rob Peter to pay Paul. Keep at least one running. Lol! I haven't seen squishy yet. You guys thinking about switching over to Gleaner? Nice Drone footage 👍Great clarification on monitor. Awesome vid as always keep them coming, catchya at the next one. Have a safe harvest!!
thumbs up for the little mans intro!!!
Great drone footage !!
We called them toboggan in mid. Tn also Brian, Dax is getting big 👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸
That Gleaner sure does look good in the field.
Great drone footage.
Glad to see I'm not the only one to yell in phone "speak English!"
There is a swath control. Also you don't need to go through all the navigation screens to nudge your guidance line. That tab on the guidance screen with two arrows pointing opposite directions with bring that up.
You guys be safe out there see you next time
Gleaner the first combine to go world wide and a lot of American farmers first combine.🌄🌄😁🌄🌄
Love the drone footage keep it up man
Thanks for watching
Thanks Brian!
Goody bags are the ticket for the days when you are to lazy/tired to make lunch
This reminds me of the time I went to a tugboat race....also very riveting
That Gleaner looked to good a great job.
Fun fact, the grain tank for the claas lexion is built by a company named tmco which is in the same city I live in. It is also in the same state where all the lexions are built. The combine plant is in Omaha Nebraska.
Now we want to know the pricedifference so we know what we see next harvest and BJ is whright about the goodybag, thanks Brian greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
When I was custom applying nh3 at the coop and my buddy was harvesting we did the same light competition
It’s a toque. Coming from Canada 🇨🇦
Does a great job laying the "chopped straw" out the back of the machine
That Gleaner gettin it done pretty.
I'm in PA. I call it a toboggan also.
Down in Georgia or at least at our house we called them that as well. And a sled we never had,it's Georgia.
We all up in here!
Loved the drone footage, great video! :)
Thanks for watching
Hey Brian I just want to let you know I really like the shorter intro
Here in Southern Pennsylvania we call it a beanie. A toboggan is a sled.
Yep, two of those S97s on your farm would be pretty sweet.
Brian when you get to the end of all this, I wonder if you would ask your dad what he really thought of that Gleaner compared to the grain Quality through your lexion . I want to say I remember you and your dad both saying that one of the reasons you had bought the lexion was because of the grain quality was very clean.
Nice drone footage!
Thanks
Great video Brian
I would get the trimble autoguide package instead of the novatel along with ag leader yield and moisture sensors.
You'd be more impressed with it in corn than beans. They corn eat corn like no other. Natural flow rotor. Great video
Perfect!
One thing about the Gleaners. Be careful of overhead wires and cables when you put the unload auger out. It does go up very high. A lot higher than the combine height
Ever thought of using superchats in live for equipment upgrades? Like patreon, paypal, crowd funding?
Nice job on the drone as well.
great video loved the drone footage of the two combines running together!!! also with gleaners natural flow thrashing tuff conditions will work easier!! l be watchin!!!!
Thanks for watching
good work with the vids man
would be interested to see some pics of Bob's old Gleaner, and maybe a compare and contrast video about the 2 from him....
We call it a Toboggan here in Texas also
Bob you look right at home in that gleaner
I like the new intro and the music selection and editing is much better. You'll have lot's more subscribers at this rate. :)
Recon you should keep calling it the “thunder chicken” laugh every time I hear it. 👍👍
Haha put Harley bar in my new to me Green Machine and love it !!
Really wish you could've got the gleaner in some corn. Sad that it has to go. Seemed to make your dad very happy.
Love the saying alot of working words
When we were kids up near Fremont, my little sister had one of those long knit hats on and a red snow suit. One of my uncles came by and saw her. He gave her the name " Snaggle Tooth Toboggan Santa 🎅 Claus. LOL Thats been her nick name for a long time!
Esta muy buena esa gleaner se ve muy comoda para conducirla saludos de monterrey nl mex te ganaste un suscriptor 👍👍👍👍
Another good one men.
Thanks for watching
I got to get up at 2:30 in the morning for a fishing tournament 😂 but I had to stay up to watch the new video ‼️ btw it’s 11:36 in South Carolina
It’s a toque or a block heater lol enjoyed the video. Nothing meaner than a Gleaner
I'd imagine if you had a wet year I'd have to put a mud hog on the Gleaner. Take me a few to get used to the unloading auger just looks different than all the other combines but it looked like it did a wonderful job cutting beans.
You will not be disappointed with Gleaner in corn. If, and that is, if you lose any capacity , you’ll make it up in grain in the tank and not lost.
Great video content Ryan and love that music you guys have a great one
You mean Brian😂
Yes I did Brian I had my grandson Ryan on my mind I'm so sorry you have great videos keep it up
its called a toque here in Canada :p
Block warmer.
We call it a torque on our farm 🤷♂️
Mason looks like my grandson! Not quit twins but defiantly like brothers! Our grandson is not quite 2.
I think this had more of audience than Nascar had all year!,
I like you guys music
Eu te acompanho os teus vídeos aqui do Brasil
Show
In Canada it isn't a toboggan. We call them "toques" or "Block Heater" (to keep the block on your shoulders warm).
I like block heaters lol
I call them tobagans also down here in south Texas.
Great work on the video 👍 how many bushel does the gleaner hold?
See you tomorrow love the content
They do, this is a demo unit
Morning Brian and dax
Lol your dad's phone call cracked me up
For sure run one in corn before buying one. We run a gleaner and the separation grate on the bottom of the cylinder plugs with cobs, which causes it to throw out a ton of corn. Every gleaner we have had (3 of them) does it. ‘They’ say it shouldn’t do it, but I talked to our service guy and he admitted that it’s a very common issue.
I've never had that problem but I run the concave almost wide open, especially in drier corn. Maybe you are breaking up the cobs by running too closed
Have tried everything. They still get stuck. Sometimes not as bad in some corn, some corn plugs it right up in a matter of hours.
@@johnpowers1125 I wonder why? What models? How can it be different than other rotor cages like Case? Call either Dan Hurt in North Dakota, he has worked with AGCO for several years improving the combine line, (he may be retired now) he sold the dealership to Butler Machinery but mat still work there part time, or call Deike Implement in Waverly Iowa, the owner. I forgot his first name but he used to go on the custom harvests with AGCO's harvest team.
1990 R40, 2001 R52, and 2011 R66. They’ve all done it. Dealer never has an answer. Asked if another size separator grate is available they said no there’s only one size. One of the service techs finally said it’s just what they do.
Looks like everyone likes the gleaner!!!
