Don't underestimate the Japanese horses, they just don't have world class jockeys, and most of them don't handle the soft track in the Europe. In the firm track like Dubal and Hong Kong, they perform better and have much greater results.
I don't really know how much longer the connections of Loves Only You intend to let her keep shipping outside of Japan and contesting these top international G1 races, but she's already built herself a really nice resume' of wins. To date, she's won the G1 Yushun Himba(Japanese Oaks) & G2 Kyoto Kinen in Japan. She's won the G1 FWD Queen Elizabeth II Cup in Hong Kong, and now the G1 Breeders Cup Filly & Mare Turf in the USA. And lest we forget her brilliant run at Meydan back in March, when she finished a very narrowly beaten 3rd behind Mishriff & Chrono Genesis
They'll run her outside of Japan for however long they feel like doing so, it's their horse and their decision. There's a lot of better races for female turf horses outside of Japan, especially later in the year and in their older campaigns. And they want to win the International stuff too, not just the Japanese stuff. Saying I wonder how much longer they'll keep racing her outside of Japan is like saying how much longer European-based horses are going to keep shipping out of Europe to race in other countries.
I get you! You want our best horses to come over to race yours in Japan. Many an American would agree with you after today. Me, I would have agreed with you last year.
