- On her way home from a long day at work, Judge Susan Adams gets pulled over. She immediately gets out of her vehicle and starts berating the poor young policeman. Officer Willy Brown is just trying to do his duty, but Judge Adams feels she is above the law. 5:01 not a very smart judge. The judge should know that the signature just verified that she will either show up for court, or pay the fine.
Basically it is a way to prevent the Officer from arresting and placing the judge in jail until she is seen from a municipal or justice court judge for the minor traffic offense.
Btw: it isn’t the law to sign it. Signing again is to just let the court know that she will either show or pay the fine.

@@Lillyabdlmtf correct. By not signing it makes her not very wise. Especially, since she is a judge. Not signing is a good way to get arrested. Granted not signing it still leaves the discretion to the Officer on whether to arrest or just put “didn’t sign.”

Good for Officer Brown; he stood his ground and didn't back down from the Judge. He called for backup and who came on the scene but the Captain, as it turns out she had several complaints against her for the same behavior all which lead to her being placed under arrest. As Captain Porter told her Nobody is above the law.

Honestly, she may be a judge, but crossing the line and having a prideful attitude is setting the wrong example. Which is also why there's so much corruption in police forces as it is

Like they said in the video 'No one is above the law'. The judge got upset because she got a ticket for her bad driving and all the rookie cop was doing his job. It is horrible and disgusting that things like this happens in real life. I'm glad that the evil judge lady got arrested for her actions

Sometimes, even in our country, the Philippines, traffic violations committed by a few people of higher status (lawyers, businessmen, even judges, and others) are so defensive to law enforcers. The cops have body cameras, where they can catch them in real-time.

This reminds me of the issue that happened in Tenafly, NJ. The woman who was giving the cops a hard time was using her position of authority to act entitled. All she was call to do was pick up the kids who were pulled over.

I agree with how the new officer dealt with the situation except that he kept putting his hand on his gun as if she was a threat, in fact him doing that could be taken as a threat. Other than that good job for the officer, and lots of respect to the captain.
