- Homeless Veteran Clyde Palmer is resting in a local public park when he is approached by a police officer. The cop questions Clyde, then demands he leaves the premises. Then, after the officer takes exception to a comment, Clyde is placed in handcuffs. As the officer tries to detain him, Clyde is thrown from his wheelchair. As the altercation intensifies, Mango Park Police Captain James Porter arrives on the scene, giving the homeless veteran a chance for justice.

Veterans are the real true rockstars of this country for all of the hard work they have done for us. Many of us love laughter and sometimes we all need a good laugh despite the way things are going on in this world. Sometimes our veterans who come home are left homeless and don't have a job to go to. And to treat our veterans with disrespect is totally disgusting!

This is what our country has become. If you think that was disrespectful, you should have been around when we got back from Vietnam. A lot of vets forgave, but we will never forget. And we love love our country ❤️.

I was in the New Zealand Artillery during Vietnam. We stood out, as we were the only ones with short hair. The attitude of the public was neutral towards us. I did not appreciate the attitude of the white American soldiers towards black American soldiers. It was like two separate armies, a black one and a white one. Needless to say, New Zealand soldiers got on with the black soldiers, as they spoke the same way as we did. It was very noticable that the black soldiers were much taller than the white ones also.

Don't assume that homeless shelters serve substandard meals. When I lived in a shelter, the meals were quite tasty. The hospitality that Captain Porter extended to his fellow veteran was most likely more important than the quality of the meal.

i know what it's like to be a vet and how people just treated me the same way when i come back as a peacekeeper in Bosnian in 1995 and the stupid things people asked me what did i do over there but as usual i said nothing because what i experienced
