Yes! It works! I've lost 19lbs & 5 1/2 inches since February 07, 2018. Do your research, get salt in your diet or pickle juice (my favorite) & stay below 20 net carbs a day. Stay positive

@@danaalkhairy5330 Sorry for the late reply, I only took estimates. I needed to keep my calories under 2500, so I'd adjust the quantity of each item I'd eat accordingly.

hunger is the best spice - that's a good one.
i'm also really enjoying swee food like an occasional plaintain or orange so much more now that I stopped eating sugary foods. Thanks for these concise videos, they have helped me get going and I lost more than 30 pounds in 2 months already!
I haven’t been able to lose weight in the last 4 years. I been stuck at 270. I stop eating sweats bread pasta and potato and in one week I lost five pounds! I’m very excited about this I’m going to add a fasting day to my week and go to the gym 3 time a week and update you on my results!

I know I'm late but I just want to thank the website for helping me on the Keto diet.
Browsing the website, it shows how many grams of carbs are on each food; whether it'd be nuts, vegetables, and sweeteners.
I'm just starting on Keto and it really helped me. I recommend checking the website out.
Basically I've been eating rice in every meal in my life. Its gonna be hard to avoid because of my parents but my dad might let me cause all the time he tells me " if u wanna stay fit,eat less rice and exercise more".Dont know if I can keep up the keto but I'll try. Wish me luck!

As an Asian...we eat rice daily. So when I reduced my rice intake like to 20-30g...my parents were shocked and scolded me for not eating much rice 😂 then I explained to them I'm on a diet named keto and they were like goes into crazy mode. And after that mentioned about gastric where people often get it from not eating well../enough 😂🙉
HAHAHAA same with my Asian parents :P They were like you are going to get ulcer because I was also doing intermittent fasting LOOOL
YOu can use MCT oil though - which you can get from Amazon it keeps me going and I have it in 2 cups of tea a day - one at 8am and one at 8p after my one meal at 6PM the weight if falling off! I had 2 burgers last night with cheese on - they were 6.6G each so I had 13G of carbs yesterday and went the whole 18 hours without feeling hungry ;)

I remember I tried Atkins diet years ago. Unfortunately I felt very unwell during this diet. No energy and had bad headache hence I stopped it. I have been a vegetarian for a year now. I suffer from bad PCOS. I watched Dr Fung videos among others. They all recommend keto diet. What about fruit like apple banana? They are very good for body... is that allowed on keto diet? I m just a bit confused here as there is a very strong trend for veganism ... ? On the other hand I do understand that our ancestors ate mainly meat not grains and vegetables. I had a recent bt done. My hba1c was good. Maybe someone could share experience how they felt during this diet,?

I eat meat,fish which are made by soya bin oil..is it okay in keto??? I have no other option as in my place there is no cooking facilities,.now question is should i continue eating soya bin made meat or leave the meat fish totally

What about supplements? What should I take iron? Magnesium?
Some people find electrolyte supplementation helpful but general supplements aren't usually necessary unless you know you're running low in something.

I want to loose 20 pounds in 3 months .. now I've just ended the first month with 8 pounds dropped following counting calories diet. I really want to try the keto diet through the next two months but I'm really scared !! How I'm going to loose weight eating fat .. my mind can't accept it .. 🙈

The USDA database is a good source of nutrition information. Potatoes and carrots are too high carb to be part of a strict keto way of eating.

No grains ! Grains are evil !
Rice, whether brown or white, has carbs. Stay away from carbs. Carbs are turned into sugar inside your body. Therefore, your body uses sugar as energy. Thus, you are not burning fat. So just stay away from carbs in general.
Is keto diet good for teenagers
Its good for anybody if you are trying to lose weight. Just stay away from carbs, avoid "cheat days", get at least half an hour of moderate excercise a day, and you will literally melt all the fat off of your body. But if you are looking for faster results, try to intake zero carbs a day (this is very difficult), and try not to sit down and do nothing all day.

Below 20 grams of carbs per day = foods with less then 5% carbs? I dotn understand it. So if i have food with 5g per 100g of carbs that food is accepted on a scale of foods to eat. So i can only eat 400grams of foods like that? wtf 20 g per day means.

I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and I follow this lifestyle.

In general, aside from avocado, tomato and berries, fruit is too high carb and has too much fructose to be a component of a ketogenic diet.

I disagree with the bananas although it has a degree of starchiness, it's still a fiber rich food and will help regulate bowels.
Bananas have way too many carbs and too much sugar for a ketogenic diet. You don't actually need fiber to be regular. (That's a myth.) In fact, too much fiber can be problematic. Simply keep up with your electrolytes and eat your fat, and you'll be good to go! (Haha, pun intended!)

You can eat keto pizza and substitute rice with cauliflower rice. Google it, it's great. Keto really has so many options and great tasting substitutes.

yogurt is full of hidden sugar actually, like milk. I think you should have plain yogurt without honey or whatsoever on it...

Gaming Insider Sorry I meant to say months not weeks lol.. Stop eating bread, tortillas, rice, pasta, potatoes, corn, fruit and high carb condiments. Keep your carb amount at 30grams or less per day. When you read the Nutrition Facts of foods remember to subtract Fiber from the Carbs and what’s left is the net carbs. Replace ketchup with reduced sugar ketchup, replace bread and tortillas with Low Carb versions of it. Remember to always count Net Carbs! Keep it at 30 or Less.
