- In this video tutorial i show you how to change the DNS Server on an LG Smart TV (WebOS). If you have an app that is not working you are most likely to try to change your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4. Hope this helps.

The problem I’m having with my tv is that my tv isn’t connecting with the dns on Ethernet but the wireless WiFi works just fine
Mine is the other way around. I connected a ethernet cable to my LG tv and it worked fine as soon as I disconnected the cable it won't connect to the WiFi anymore? Any ideas as to what it could be? Everything was working before I put the erhernet cable in

My tv was never connected with Wifi setting was always set with the gateway box from our tv provider, we got U-Tube with it
Our old Gateway box died and they gave us a new one except now our tv is set on HDMI3 instead of HDMI1

It doesn't work on my lg c1. It shows the newly set server in the settings BUT if you do a dns leak test it still shows the dns of my original provider. It is pointless, more or less.

This is not permanent. After tv switch off, we have to re-enter manually again.
