Thank you! Yes unfortunately I did realise this after all of the decals had been sealed in, I have no clue what I was doing!! Perhaps all the lacquer fumes got to my head! What was it like to work on this beast?😁
Ah yes! Went to Hannants recently and saw some of your fabulous work in the display cases. Amazing place over there! Great work once again, keep it up.👍🏼
Another outstanding build! I visited hannants in November and I was very impressed by how friendly and welcoming the staff were I'll definitely be visiting again in the new year. Happy Christmas
Thank you very much sir! Yes it is utterly brilliant down there, I’m usually around there most weekend with my latest models so potentially we shall cross paths!🤙🏻
I want to have this jet A-7K Corsair 2 nice jet kit build for myself. Nice video of this jet kit assembly together. Love jets. ❤❤😊😊🎉🎉I enjoyed this video. Besides the F-8 Crusader two unique jet fighters. Love the U.S. Navy.
Before you even started the build, this is excellent for no other reason than it isn't the 1:24 Spitfire, the 1.32 Kotare Spit, the 1/48 Arma hurricane, the 1:48 Sea King or the 1:48 Gannet... I mean, I love all those kits, no doubt, and really rate some of the builds but well done for finding some interest elsewhere! I think there's at least one prolific 'content creator' who is on part 26, part 31, part 79... and that's just the 'unboxing' yawnfests; the kits will be out of production before he's finished them. 😂 Bravo! 👏🏻
I think he’s built most of those kits though. Pretty sure he’s at least done the 1/24 Spitfire and the 1/48 Gannet and Sea King. I think the good point is that they weren’t unboxing videos.
Thank you! As mentioned I have build a lot of those kits when they came out in a matter of weeks so it just allows me to move onto some more projects which I personally wanted to build! Unboxing videos always make me cringe a little but maybe that’s my personal opinion! Merry Christmas!🤙🏻
I really enjoyed your work on the Spitfire! You articulate well and you’re easy to listen to. I watched your Tocat video too, and can’t wait to watch this Corsair II video. Bravo! Keep it up!
Thank you very much sir! I have literally only just woken up so I am intrigued to see what kits I potentially have to build! Merry Christmas to you too bud!🤙🏻
@@machmodels ooo exciting stuff lol let me know what you’ve got! I’ve had a couple of lovely kits that I’m tempted to start now 😂 best finish the f-4 first though I guess
Fantastic finished product once again, T-Wizzy is a new favourite phrase for gbu’s for me hahaha! Have a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year! Looking forward to what you will have cooking in the year to come 👍
Thank you very much sir! It’s a very funny phrase isn’t it “T-Wizzy” always managed to make me chuckle. Thank you for the continued support over the last year, and I can assure you there are some biiigg projects in the works!🤙🏻
I use it with a small needle all my airbrushes, even in my iwatia hi line hp cp, and harder steenbeck infinity cr-plus airbrushes have 0.2 needles, you get more control just things the paint down.
I think I shall be following suit, I did feel rather comfortable with all of the paint work for this one. My only worry is on the bigger jets that I like to do it might be a bit too much! So maybe I will start switching between brushes🤙🏻
Looking at the paint job from an armour modeller perspective,it looks amazing, and it could be interesting for a tank, and merry christmas and hope you got everything you wished for!
More quality work, no surprise that you would make this into an excellent model. I own the 1/72 version of this kit. I wonder if the issues will be similar. Thanks for sharing so I can solve some of them whenever I attempt it assuming it's a smaller scale version of the same kit.
A great build. The Corsair II is a great looking aircraft along with the Prowler. The holographic HUD was a really nice little attention to detail. I like the support stand you have it looks like a worth while piece of kit. I'm not familiar with HobbyBoss, but there seems to be a lot of seam and fit issues.
Thank you! Hobbyboss kits vary in my opinion, some are superb and some require a little more work to get looking good. This one falls into the good part in my eyes!🤙🏻
Awesome build! I believe the front piece at around 7:04 is the engine nacelle? Very cool bit of the engine. I’m sure there are some aerospace engineers here that could explain the importance of that piece to engine performance!! Thanks for the video!
As far as I know, the piece is simply just the front intake edges, I’m not sure of an exact name, but to clarify, an engine nacelle is basically an engine(s) tat are mounted on a pylon looking thing or just mounted away from the fuselage. A good example is the engines on a B-52 or any modern generic airbus or Boeing jet.
That was a superb build and paint finish on this very bruttish looking aircraft, i have always liked the A-7 almost as much as the F-4, I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year, all the best for 2024, bedt regards from a Kiwi living in Australia
Merry Xmas Luke, I'm glad that I found your channel, I must admit I'm bit of fan of the A-7 (aka SLUF) and it's bigger half brother Crusader. A brilliant build 👍👍
Excellent. Ive got this exact kit in my stash to build.......looking forward to seeing this one. ( but probably won't have time until after Christmas) Happy Christmas BTW !!!
@@machmodels I'm very tempted too after seeing another epic build by your good self. It was my going to be my trumpeter 1/32 lightning with lots of photo etch etc.

Can you further explain on how to create the HUD screens please, I recently went to Hannants its an amazing shop. I enjoyed looking at your kits there Happy Christmas and new year 🎉 🎄
Of course! Next time I do a subject which uses all of those sensors I will show how I do it. Fingers crossed our paths cross at Hannants at some point!🤙🏻
Hi Luke, nice work on this kit, I would be interested in seeing how you did the H.U.D., did you use nail foil?, Have a happy new year and see you in 2024.
Brilliant model building. Wish I had those standards. How long have you been model building, many years, or something you've just taken to recently. Merry Xmas and keep the videos coming.
Thank you very much! So I’m coming to the end now of my second year of modelling so still relatively new to the whole thing! Merry Christmas to you too!🤙🏻❤️
AMAZINGNES!!! Lovely narrataion! And I really like your little adittions on the model, feels more real. Btw what is that blue glue you put in the seams? 6:25.
Thank you very much sir! The blue glue is a glue from ammo which is pigmented, this helps me to see where the glue is flowing! Pretty neat but the actual glue is no different to any other glue😁👌🏻
To me the HobbyBoss A-7 looks very poor - too many errors in the details. A typical quick-shot-product, poorly researched and poorly realized. No detail in the front fuselage area matches the original A-7.
Honestly I am not too familiar with the plane so I shall have to take your word for it! Even with its inaccuracies it’s a bit of fun to put together!🤙🏻
@@machmodels Of course I have to praise you when it comes to your model building skills and experience. Despite the kit's weaknesses, you achieved a very good end result. 👍
Nice build, Sioux City wrong tail flash, AZ is the 162 Fighter Wing, ANG, Tucson, AZ, I worked on this aircraft.

Very clean build and nice weathering ! Back in the 1970's I had a chance to fly in one ( TA-7 ) and it was a blast when he let me try to fly it !
Thank you very much! Wow that is so cool, what was it like?
Definitely one of my favorite jet aircraft along with the Phantom and the Sabre. Great work.
I am inclined to agree with you, thank you!🤙🏻
Another fantástic Job! The A7 was one of my first kits when I was a child in the eigthies. An old airfix kit.
Thank you very much!🤙🏻

Haven’t heard it called that before! What’s the story behind that?😁
