Watching the way this thing goes together is amazing. I know its been said a million times but the engineering precision from tamiya is in a different league.
This is legitimately some of your best work my man, and I really mean that. The F-35 is such a difficult subject to make interesting, and you've really done that with this finish!
Nice build Luke. I like the way you've tastefully weathered this, it takes away the dullness of that HAVE glass coating. Great work. I'll be getting the C version when it's launched after seeing how nicely this goes together. Have fun at Telford, Matt
I think that is one of the best f35 bulids ever and your new video format with details in the right top of the video helps me to improve my model bulding skills. Thank you 🤩
Another outstanding build! I've just built this one and the f-35 A from Tamiya and really looking forward to the F-35 C being released so i can complete the collection
This is the F-35 kit I've been waiting for. I'm going to go for an "in flight" configuration, taking advantage of the included stand. I hope. I can get the closed undercarriage doors to fit as cleanly as the weapon bay doors on yours....
Despite this scheme being pretty basic, I think this is my favourite of your builds so far. A really smart job, and the FOD covers and RBF tabs really put the cherry on it.
Cracking job. I’ve got mine ordered, and have purchased the Quinta cockpit set to use with it. Detail and wonder make an undercarriage set as well that looks amazing
Looks amazing Luke! You totally blasted this one and I personally think that these more expensive Tamiya kits are absolutely amazing, like the F-4 or F-14,and I saw this one on backorder on Hannants, might have to pick it up soon. Thanks for the video, and if you are going to Telford, hope to see you there! :)
I've always loved the F35 and this build was absolutely amazing. I love the fact you went down the "in service" route rather than the "fresh off the production line" look. The new information graphics that pop up are a great little touch to your videos
I'm in the area of where Hannants is situated next week, so I can feel my wallet taking a bashing! 😂😂 Excellent build Luke, would love to see you do the Lancer B1 & Blackbird SR71. Keep up the great work. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Fantastic weathering on what can look a bit of a bland aircraft imo Nice to see Mr Weathering washes in use, they are my new favourites since picking some up in Japan last year
I think Tamiya have done an amazing job on creating an interesting build of what has be one of the most boring Aeroplanes I can think of to look at. But then hey its Tamiya.
Hello mr mach!very nice job done.i was deliciously Entertained.i love your comment. A nice unique little piece of art you have created.you brought that little gem2life.thank u4ur efforts.i truly appreciate them.thank u4sharing.of course you deserve a thumb up.and I givehim to you.keep enjoying and keep up the good work. With best regards and sticky greetings from sandy Brandenburg germany.faithfully yours.your modellmate.christian
I watched this build with interest! Personally, I prefer when typical F-35B features are displayed, like the pivoting exhaust and lift fan intake/exhaust. I’m also not entirely sold on your choice of colours, but at the end of the day, it’s your model to build as you please. I still enjoyed watching your build and want to thank you for taking the time to film it! 🙏
Thank you! I completely agree with your comment but I have made two other F35's on the channel with everything deployed so I thought I would try something different.
Have to agree on the colours, I'm afraid. To each their own, and I'm absolutely going to experiment with that liquitex ink technique instead of more messy salt weathering, but the have-glass grey, with a matt varnish and a brown wash, does not resemble F-35 surface finish to me. These planes have a subtle metallic sheen and a blue-ish hue, where this is yellow-tinted, matte, and looks too light.
@machmodels silver is probably too strong. Im planing to try this: ruclips.net/video/By38BtQp2pE/видео.htmlsi=MadwmBhdZlksBh0_ Id say he nailed the 5th gen fighter sheen
Looks good, and thanks for the weathering idea! but for the life of me I can't understand buying a B version and not building it in a VTOL or STOL configuration, why not just buy the A or C? Owell, your model, have fun with it!
I mean it spends most of its time in this configuration and he’s already built one in the vertical landing config so I can see why he might want one like this.
Very nice build and interesting new mottling technique. But why are you spraying and colouring inner bomb bays and vertical fan parts when you have the hatches closed?
Mate, how much time do you actually spend on each model? Every damn time when I see a new upload from you appear on my feed, I can't help but think to myself 'how is this guy so quick all the time?' edit: almost forgot to say it, but you nailed it! (as usual ofc;))
Another great build, just a shame you don't show the full detail of such a detailed and expensive model. The only thing for me is the RAM tape is usually quite distinctive from the main body colour, and would give it more depth. But that's a personal thing. Top job 👍
For your pilot, you could have put flesh wash over his face to pull out the details, but it is bland to buy flesh wash for war gaming paints. Nevertheless, you did a nice job..Also flight tags and covers would be removed before the pilot entering the cockpit ,
Very nice, now all you need is the A & C variants😁 with the A in RAAF (hint they are the closest to us in Kiwiland) with the ink as a pre-shade a great addition to the arsenal & the music has a real LOTR vibe so that's a win also.😁
Interestingly enough I think you made a small mistake making the screens glossy. Almost all EFIS systems I fly with are a matt/satin finish to prevent glare blinding you from the instruments while flying!
Watching the way this thing goes together is amazing. I know its been said a million times but the engineering precision from tamiya is in a different league.
This is legitimately some of your best work my man, and I really mean that. The F-35 is such a difficult subject to make interesting, and you've really done that with this finish!
Amazing quality and build, Tamiya engineering at it's best. You certinaly done the model justice.
Very fine work. The precision in the fit of the pieces in the Tamiya models is from another planet. Don't you think?
It is exceptional, really lets you focus on other areas of the build!
What an incredible kit.......and what an outstanding build! Gorgeous finish.....very, very convincing! 👌🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Nice one, Mach,
Nice build Luke. I like the way you've tastefully weathered this, it takes away the dullness of that HAVE glass coating. Great work. I'll be getting the C version when it's launched after seeing how nicely this goes together. Have fun at Telford, Matt
love the look of the acrylic ink pre shading. Im going to try this on a project soon! Great model well done!
I think that is one of the best f35 bulids ever and your new video format with details in the right top of the video helps me to improve my model bulding skills. Thank you 🤩

Thank you very much! Let me know how you get on with the extras!
Beautiful work. I'm currently working on an F-14A and an S-3 Viking. The Viking is going to be refueling the F-14A. It's been a really fun build.
Absolutely stunning! I really love that weathering!
Another Video AND THIS TIME, OF MY MOST FAV JET! WOOOW! Great Job Mate!
Cracking build and video chap, well done.
Cannot wait until tam release the 35-c next month
Great build and very informative, enjoy Telford and look forward to the next project.
great build looks amazing and the weathering Technic i will give it a try some day. thanks for sharing 👍🏻
I've always loved the F35 and this build was absolutely amazing. I love the fact you went down the "in service" route rather than the "fresh off the production line" look. The new information graphics that pop up are a great little touch to your videos
Currently working on my own f-35a from Tamiya pretty nice kit
Geeat build! Wonderful! Now build a F-35 B in landing mode with pilot the instrument panel on and all those glorious doors open!
Amazing! Buzzing when I saw the video in my notifications! Also love the new HUD you’ve got in the corner with all the info :)
Really nice painting techniques.
Hi, I'm more like a WW2 aircraft modeller, but this KIT looks quite amazing. Very nice build; congratulations.
Great skills and build 👍
I'm in the area of where Hannants is situated next week, so I can feel my wallet taking a bashing! 😂😂
Excellent build Luke, would love to see you do the Lancer B1 & Blackbird SR71.
Keep up the great work. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The Lowestoft branch?
Brilliant, informative build as always. Very interesting indeed.
Great work Luke, I have the A and B variants, and have put in a pre-order for the C, gotta love how Tamiya kits just fall together...
A fantastic looking F-35B.
Very nice more weathered F-35B jet Mach Models love jets the F-35s. Looking superb
Looks amazing! Love the cockpit. I will probably pick this up at Hannants now 😂.
Nice job! Looks great!
wow, amazing repaint ... cool F-35b
Bloody perfect mate 🤩
Very nice indeed!
Great kit and video! Nice technique with the weathering but i find it a little too much in the end
Absolutely incredible
Hey Luke,
Lee here, PM when you can, got some good news for you.
Nice vid BTW, you actually made the flying frog look good.
Hi Lee!
Where is best to message you?
Luke
machmodelsofficial@gmail.com is my email is that is good for you
Perfect work 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fantastic weathering on what can look a bit of a bland aircraft imo

That was a great build of a very dull boring grey modern plane.
Thank you very much! Grey is definitely a challenge, but I rather enjoyed it!
Nice take of the F-35. But Im still waiting for someone to malke the sheen on it
Thank you - I was thinking of trying to mist on a highly diluted silver in an attempt to replicate, but after testing it didn't look too great!
@machmodels silver is probably too strong. Im planing to try this: ruclips.net/video/By38BtQp2pE/видео.htmlsi=MadwmBhdZlksBh0_
Id say he nailed the 5th gen fighter sheen

Great build.. who makes the tow vehicle ?
Thank you, the tow was from Kinetic.
Fantastic!
Very nice build and interesting new mottling technique.

Nice build.Where did you buy the holographic film (link if possible)?
Do you have a video on how you use/apply the holographic wrap?
I do not - but it is pretty simple. Just cut the desired size and use PVA glue to stick it to transparencies.
@ Outstanding! Where did you get the film?
Are you coming to Scale Model World in Telford this weekend?
Another great build, just a shame you don't show the full detail of such a detailed and expensive model.

The tractor bro, which brand is it ?
Do Hannants ship internationally?
Yes, I live in Canada and its generally quicker and cheaper than anything from the US.
They should have made more raptors
Main air intakes are white inside not grey mate.
Hi mate! As I was putting off covers over them… felt there was no need to paint them😃
Ah ok, got ya 😂
Where did you get the holographic paper?
B-52 please
Interestingly enough I think you made a small mistake making the screens glossy. Almost all EFIS systems I fly with are a matt/satin finish to prevent glare blinding you from the instruments while flying!
Cockpit has to be classified my brother. Not much detail for us to know about. The F22 even more a mystery as it is the most advanced.
