@dvr4fun They are powered by either a 1,000 or 2,000 watt (depending on model) electric motor contained in the rear portion of the cooler. (Charging system is built into the the battery compartment of the cooler itself.) The cooler is designed to hold one case of "beverages" and 8 pounds of ice. Additional"trailer coolers" are also available.
Actually, they only make 250w, 300w, 500w and 1000w models. The lower-end (250-300w) models use only a pair of 12v batteries (24v) while the 500-750w models use three (36v) IIRC... while the 1000w uses four. (48v) And no... you can't interchange JUST the number of batteries to make it go faster... you must also upgrade the controller/ECM as well. Also: Total runtime is effected by the amp-hour (Ah) of the batteries used (8-15 Ah) with lower-rated ones typically being used to make room for more of them on higher voltage/motor wattage models.
The Stig, much like Doctor Who regenerates from time to time. When this happens he has come back in different colors.

Does the alcoholic STIG come as standard or an option with the cooler??
What happens when it runs out of batteries? It just becomes 50 lb akward thing to drag around?
Yeah, but did he pay for it? (after concealing the beer in the cooler.)
