For those of us here with human lifespans, allow me to save you six minutes of that time: The M2 can be charged with either the MagSafe or USB-C port, and can be charged with any Mac Power Adapter, no matter the wattage, although charging will take longer with low wattage adapters like the 5W phone adapter.
what is the maximum wattage macbook air m2 can use
@@Xi360 any Mac power adapter will work of any wattage
@@compassionatecultivations1516 maximum input will it benefit from 100w vs 67w ?
@@Xi360 the fastest the m2 will charge is known as the "fast charge" feature, and it will work with any USB-C type power adapter over 67W. How much over 67W does not matter. There is no advantage to using a USB TYPE C adapter in excess of 67W.
Hahaha 😂 thanks buddy
Apple has a 140w charger that you can also use for MacBook Air M2. Acc to apple, it’s compatible as well, not just the 67w charger.
People saying it max at 67W even if you can use 140W. What's you experience?
it might damage the mac specially if it high watt gan charger. and also 90% of the times it shows on the top right that its charging but when you click on it it says battery not charging.
THANK YOU bro! Thank you profoundly. You are the man! It worked perfectly. I hope its not going to cause any damage, bought the Mac a week ago, no guarantee. Lol
Expensive products but very satisfying
Can you charge through two or even three ports at the same time, i.e. two 30 watt chargers or three 10 watt chargers simultaneously?
Exactly what I was looking for, thank you!!
very helpful. thank you.
4:08 I Use a Xiaomi Charger of 67watt my Mac doesn't charge with it rather than it by passing the charge and work as a electric power desktop
thanks my friend, Does USB C on the macbook air m2 be used for data and display along with charging from a monitor of 65 watts?
thank you so much you just helped a lot
Thank you! Hopefully, this year, the new iPhone will also be USB-C this way we can charge everything with ONE cable! En passant, j'ai une question... est-tu Québécois?
May Mac safe charger is not turning to green light when my Macbook is fully charged. Optimized battery charging is enabled. Is it normal?
is safe charge Mac with a normal power bank? I wrote to apple who told me that it is harmful to the health of the mac but and to only use their products I think they only do it to sell more. thank you
Can you charge with MagSafe port and usb type c port at the same time? I am just wondering if I use a usb c hub which also needs power and supports charging through the hub as well. If only one of them works, then which one is actually charging the MacBook?
Let us know what you learnt (or fried) by full-filling your curiosity?
Is there any way to not charge the MacBook and just use an AC power adapter that’s permanently plugged in
i'm using USB C hub right now. Could you show on how to charge the Macbook Air M2? Thanks
When buying new do I need to charge it before use ? If so how long
Thank you very helpful video ❤
Can I use it for Android phone?? 🙂plz tell me
Thank youuuu!!!
No mention of the 96w charger, so this video is missing even basic coverage of all official Apple chargers
Thanks, my puppy just destroyed my MagSafe 3 cable and I was so sad.
IM IN THE SAME SITUATION OML IM PANICKING
Nice information, thanks a lot of 🤩🤩🤩
Can we use USBC cable and charger that came with a Microsoft laptop to charge apple Mac book Pro ?
Sure it can if it’s USB-C.
@@TricksTipsFix I tried. If the cable comes with Mac it works, if it is old style (big black box USB-C charger that came with HP laptop) it does not work (the Mac says it is not charging). When I switched to USB-C that came with I think iPhone it does work, but it is a bit slow charging.
Apple is very strict about only using their own sanctioned hardware. Thank god they have not forced us to use a specific frequency of electricity (say 135 HZ) and attempted to sell 60 HZ or 50 HZ AC to 135 HZ ac adaptors 😀
thank you for the info...
Thanks for the informative video, just one question - will charging via the USB-C degrade the battery life faster than using a MagSafe over a few years?
have the same question!
I wish I would know but I don’t. One thing I have noticed is that my usb c port has some tiny paint chips. It seems that the black coating is not thick.
@@TricksTipsFix thank you for the reply, after checking Apple website they do state that it is safe to use the USB-C for charging :)
@@raphaelsciola1842 See my reply mate, buy a well made USB-C charger and all is good!
Thanks
Thank you for explaining this so well :-)
I am thinking about buying a 100 watt charger but I am not sure if it would damage my m2 MacBook Air
I have a 65W "Warp Charge" adapter that came with my OnePlus phone. is it safe to fast charge the m2 air with this charger?
Yes absolutely
@@TricksTipsFix ok tried it.. But it does not charge with it...
just purchased this laptop but the battery keeps showing at just 1% ? Using method #1. As soon as I unplug it laptop shuts down...why is this ?
