For the question about resistors, it outputs whatever voltage you feed it and has 100hm resistors, you can open up yours to confirm, it's the column of 6x resistors in a row, reads "01A", 100ohm, you don't need additional resistors if you're powering the receiver with a 5V or 6V BEC, white LEDs will be a bit dim if wired in series and a bit bright if wired in parallel, amber and red are to be wired in series. If you are direct powering 2S and run a high voltage servo, 2x white LEDs wired in series is perfect but red and amber will need another 68 ohms or so in series

@@cphs0777 yip it's the same receiver as the X6FG but with lights that the only difference. This connects to the x6 control the same way, hold down the button till the light flashes.
Cheers bro it's not exactly scale function but it's a move in the light direction for people to have light and receiver in one. Best 2in1 receiver depending on what your looking for.
On the left side you don't need resistors but on the right you do need resistors. For some reason the power output is different on either side. So the side that takes your esc ect needs them the other side with only 2pins doesn't but as a safety all LEDs need a small resistor for life span.
For those wondering, it outputs whatever voltage you feed it, it only has a 100hm resistors, you can open up yours to confirm, it's the column of 6 resistors in a row, reads "01A", 100ohm is good only for 2S 7.4V and 2x white LEDs with 3Vf wired in series, for red/amber with 2Vf, add resistors. So for the headlights and reverse lights on 2S, wire them in series and no additional resistors, the rest you'll need to do some math
@daijoubu4529 so glad you've been able to tell us it's voltage output. Obviously none of this information comes with any receiver. Thanks I'm sure others will appreciate this work you've done.
hi! im using dumbo rc x6 with x6dc rx too, but whenever i add trim to the other side of turning, the turning l light of the opposite side doesn't seem to work
It will do that if your servo isn't centred. How can I explain, it's programmed to work from the centre position. So if your servo horn is over to the left then the right won't work. Vice versa servo horn too far right then left won't work. It only knows to turn lights on, let's say at 90° your not making 90° right if the horn is 95° left. Hope this helps and I haven't over complicated things, just centre your servo and horn.
Hi, Dumborc have released a new receiver called the BL3FG. Is there any way that you can review this model for us? It has some new functions that are not easily understood, by me anyways!
That is for brushed cars, I saw it myself and luckily realised it is for brushed motors. Brushed is dead...(hate incoming!)...mind you i do have a old toy car that has a brushed motor that i would like to chuck a lipo in and see what happens. Then I realised there would be no power cutoff for the lipo. Best thing about this old toy is it has a landrover discovery licensed body, i think I could get it on a 1/16 no problem......but it is plastic.,.......actual plastic.....the plastic that will not survive a 1/16 doing 20 cartwheels down the road....lol
Hi do you know how to reset the resiver my son accidentally pres the lights botton for so many times that the lights setting bean mess.. i hope you can help me
Hi there, pretty new to rc in terms of wiring etc. I bought some led lights for underglow and plugged them into my standard (not the one you have) dumborc receiver and they worked fine. I’ve now taped them to my body and every time I plug them into the receiver the car shoots forward and I have to unplug them? The lights also don’t light up. I’ve tried every slot on the receiver and have tried messing with controls on the dumborc transmitter but still no luck. Any ideas?
This is all guess work based on the your comment, but did the light have any resistors on them? If not the light have blown and it's sending mad signals from the receiver to the ESC.
@@mehimrc1314 Thanks for the quick reply mate! I was thinking they may have blown, these were LED strips and each strip had one of these little metal bits in between the run of LEDs. Are these the resistors? if so I put electrical tape over them when I was mounting them to the body shell so could covering them have caused them to blow? if so do you have any idea if putting tape between the LEDs even where there isn't a resistor would cause them to blow? Gonna order a new set, thanks again for your help mate!
@@clydexoxoxo hard to say without seeing the LED strips mate really is sorry. I know with the x6fg receiver ect, you need LEDs with resistors the receiver puts 4.8-10v straight to them. Any clues what is going on? (edit, i've got a 3s system, superscale 2020 unit running from a 20amp bec, smoke, sound, rad fan, voltage meter, 10 servos in all... maybe the bec in the receiver is stuggling?)
10 servos blew my mind reading that at the end, definitely a possibility your bec is struggling. You could add a cap pack (glitch buster) to the receiver that will maybe help. Couple of questions... What light kit, just some lights with connectors? What side have you got them connected to I'm guessing the left side, which would be correct. Sorry if these questions insult your intelligence Also what setting have you got the reciever light in there's two setting for different light options? Very interesting let's get this figured out 👍 Edit, what ESC you running?
@@mehimrc1314 Heya, thanks for the reply, I have never heard of a glitch buster so will try that. @@mikestinyshedofdreams Yeah have a look at a glitch buster or make one easy, just a cap pack on a futaba plug +/- You can use lights without resistors on the left side but if you plug them into the right they should pop, go figure. Your 1080 has a bec of 3amp plus your 20amp bec but dude 10 servos the draw on that must be immense. Receiver light sounds good not that it's an issues to press twice. I'm guessing your powering through your BEC now and have the ESC running slave? @@mikestinyshedofdreams so I've seen your build, your a scale trail servos for realism kind of guy lots of work gone into your build RESPECT. You say in the video about the light kit coming with a box? Only use the receiver and the light no extra box needed. Apart from that the only thing is the lack of power draw maybe for the light to function correctly. Add a glitch buster on the right side of the receiver hopefully it'll get ride of your interference with the servos at least.
@@mehimrc1314 the servos seem ok, if you can hear them whirring in the video thats the superscale unit making them do that and that's pretty normal and the unit works indpendently of the reciever (apart from channel 5 which is used to raise/lower the ride height) and the superscale unit and its servos are powered by the BEC at 6 volts. The problem is with the led side of things. They kind of work but not in the same way yours do in this vid above. Don't worry about upsetting me, I've seen your videos saying about the beef you get in the comment section and I realise that people can get arsey. Many thanks for your help.
Tail light as in a solid light? That would be in slot S/L. It has brake lights as you may have seen. And yes you can still use channel three with a switch function for your lights. Or just plug them in as normal for a solid light.

ah ha ha ha. respect due for the incredible fast response. I decided to try everything with a bit of paper like you. If anyone else is wondering about the same thing I discovered if you hold the 'gyro' button it will start flashing green. Keep holding the 'gyro' button until the light goes solid green. Now you are bound. Oh I should say firstly turn on the radio......turn on the car......then hold the gyro button.....it will start flashing green.....keep holding until it is solid green....you are bound Lastly I moved all the trim thingy's under the flap to the middle position first before i started binding. Now i can try a few lights and put it back together......this was a brilliant 'how to' it just missed a tiny bit of info. Now i can move the old radio into my cheap china car with a hobbywing esc and go to 3s woohoo That will be a temporary setup, I like the gyro/lights setup so much I already ordered a second one. From what I read I can bind multiple receivers to one controller and I got just the receiver for £12.50 delivered to uk from aliexpress. The entire radio + receiver and a bunch of leds pre wired included cost £38 to Uk and took a week, maybe 6 days. I almost bought the smaller version of the receiver which has no plastic case and is half the size.....but it costs a couple of pounds more and to be honest these receivers are tiny anyway.
The prices are crazy for the receivers wow man £18 🤯 yip the info i miss will often be in another video. So glad your bound and ready to go, you can have multiple cars on one control just remembered to bind it each time or your throttle/brake ect won't be the same 👍

But when I execute the emergency lights (hazard), both light is working. What could be the problem here? Thanks!
Only thing I can assume since you've checked and swapped LEDs around is you've got a dead contact. Try having a look in the receiver for any muck/dirt around the led terminal. If a clean or blow with air doesn't fix it, consider it to be a lost terminal. I'd keep an eye on the receiver chance it could fail if it's a faulty connection. Hope this helps 👍

Possible try recalibrating the control? That's my one and only guess.
So , gyro and light control can both work?
You got it.
Do you know by any chance if there is a way to just turn off the blinkers when steering, but still beeing able to turn on breakdown blinkers?
I see what your saying but NO I've not found such a set up or button press that takes the indicators off while turning. Love your thinking though maybe flysky or some fancy company DumboRc is good but they're not world class for crawlers ect.
@@mehimrc1314 ok thanks anyway
@@mehimrc1314 Do you know if it’s possible to adjust the sensitivity of the indicator-channel? I have this receiver (rebranded as Absima) in a crawler and also would like to keep the hazards and maybe the indicators, but they set in way to early. Would be nice to set them up as such that they only activate when at halt and sharp turning.
Anyways thx for ur time to gather this info and share with us!
Can you use it as a standalone receiver, i see you're using a separate receiver? Can you bind it with a regular x6 transmitter?
Of course you don't have to use the lights function, and it paires up to x6 control as it's meant to. Hope that helps
@@mehimrc1314 so i don't have to use the x6/x6g/x6gf receiver, i can just connect the transmitter to the x6dc?
@@cphs0777 yip it's the same receiver as the X6FG but with lights that the only difference. This connects to the x6 control the same way, hold down the button till the light flashes.
@@mehimrc1314 ok thanks for the info
Check u out from barging hunter to tech guru lol, very well explained buddy good job 👍👊😉
Cheers bro it's not exactly scale function but it's a move in the light direction for people to have light and receiver in one. Best 2in1 receiver depending on what your looking for.
thank you so much man! really apreciate
🤙 no problem dude
I need to know if the lights need resistors and is there a kit that has resistors?
@@mehimrc1314 actually i ran the numbers and you don't need additional resistors for 5V or 6V if the red and amber LEDs are wired in series
Get the information added to the comments section for all to see.
hello! please tell me what is the difference between receivers (X6DC) and .X6DC(G) thanks in advance
The G simply stands for gyro, one has it, one does not.
Sorry again, but there is no gyroscope on the X6DC
Correct 👍 if it hasn't got a G on the receiver then NO Gyro.. hope that clears it up
hi! im using dumbo rc x6 with x6dc rx too, but whenever i add trim to the other side of turning, the turning l light of the opposite side doesn't seem to work
It will do that if your servo isn't centred.
I'll Search for the reciever since I'm in the market for one plus like a challenge. Thanks for the heads up hmm I wonder what features it has.
@@mehimrc1314 Nice one, can’t wait till you get it, as properly intrigued.
Hi do you know how to reset the resiver my son accidentally pres the lights botton for so many times that the lights setting bean mess.. i hope you can help me
Press and hold the button untill the light flashes.
@@mehimrc1314 thank you i all ready returned it out...👍👍👍
Hi there, pretty new to rc in terms of wiring etc.
The receiver I show has the left side that oddly doesn't need resistors on the lights. But if you plug them in the other side with the ESC/servo they blow,, Weird... Hope any of this helps dude
I Turned On Gyro And Won't Reverse With 2 Short Press. Another Video Says The Same Thing To Reverse It And It Doesn't Work. I Think They Released An Updated Version That Works Different
That's the problem with these Chinese companies they'll update things without giving good instructions. Sorry I can't offer any help, do as I did play untill something goes your way.
@@mehimrc1314 After A Few Aneurysms I've Determined The Buttons Are Switch On The Newer Versions. The Gyro Button Is The Light And The Light Button Is The Gyro. "Gyro Button Is Closest To Antenna Lead" It's 3 Clicks On Gyro To Turn On And 1 Click To Reverse Direction. I Haven't Messed With Lights But It Seems Like It's The Same.
Well apart from your brain melting on occasions you've done a stand up job. Nice it's the same button configuration but opposite for button on control.
Man , i have enaugh , cant make it work , i only want headlights to be turned on by hitung stering 2 times , but its either always on or its off and comes on when i hit throttle , any advice ?
Edit i think receiwer is broken , i have led connected to DRL (day running lights ?) I hit throttle and lights come on, and off when i relise , but same led is flashing when i turn left
That definitely seems like a faulty receiver LEDs doing things like that are a red flag. Water damage maybe 🤔 either way get a new one and save the stress
Hey man, thanks for this video, I wonder if you can help. I've got a x6 trans and a x6dcg reciever. I connected a light kit (aliexpress) and they dont work the same as yours do. the indicators come on when I drive (left when forward, right when reverse) the DRL don't light up or the reverse lights, the rear ligts (stop/tail) work. the options you show in this video (turn right 2,3,4 times dont seem to work either.
Sorry if these questions insult your intelligence
Also what setting have you got the reciever light in there's two setting for different light options?
Very interesting let's get this figured out 👍
Edit, what ESC you running?
@@mehimrc1314 Heya, thanks for the reply,
I have never heard of a glitch buster so will try that.
I got the set of leds from aliexpress, its advertised for use with the dumborc unit (search for 1005003670341564 on aliexpress) I read somewhere they have resistors in line but have not confirmed this
Yes connected to the left side (I appreciate your sincerety)
Not sure about the rx setting, its a solid (darker) blue light
esc is Hobbywing 1080
There's a load of vids on my channel showing the whole build from start to present if you are interested in seeing it in detail
@@mikestinyshedofdreams Yeah have a look at a glitch buster or make one easy, just a cap pack on a futaba plug +/-
You can use lights without resistors on the left side but if you plug them into the right they should pop, go figure.
Your 1080 has a bec of 3amp plus your 20amp bec but dude 10 servos the draw on that must be immense.
Receiver light sounds good not that it's an issues to press twice.
I'm guessing your powering through your BEC now and have the ESC running slave?
I'll check your build out and ponder some more, like I say it's interesting and I hate the though of insulting others intelligence 👍
Does it have tail lights , or can u plug those into the spare 3pin?
Tail light as in a solid light? That would be in slot S/L. It has brake lights as you may have seen. And yes you can still use channel three with a switch function for your lights. Or just plug them in as normal for a solid light.
this is great.....but....I am not that far yet, how do i set up the damn dumbo. I saved this as the Dumbo setup for when mine came. Explanation is great for lights and gyro but I am not that far :(
I have the x6dcg setup but no idea how to bind , set end points, well do anything really. It has a crappy setup leaflet that clearly is not for my receiver :( and makes zero sense.
For the control set up watch this, that leaflet is pants. Here it is easy to understand and should get you going on your own 👍 ruclips.net/video/Sk6yh_Q2O6g/видео.html
ah ha ha ha. respect due for the incredible fast response.
I decided to try everything with a bit of paper like you.
If anyone else is wondering about the same thing I discovered if you hold the 'gyro' button it will start flashing green. Keep holding the 'gyro' button until the light goes solid green.
Now you are bound. Oh I should say firstly turn on the radio......turn on the car......then hold the gyro button.....it will start flashing green.....keep holding until it is solid green....you are bound
Lastly I moved all the trim thingy's under the flap to the middle position first before i started binding.
Now i can try a few lights and put it back together......this was a brilliant 'how to' it just missed a tiny bit of info.
Now i can move the old radio into my cheap china car with a hobbywing esc and go to 3s woohoo
That will be a temporary setup, I like the gyro/lights setup so much I already ordered a second one.
So glad your bound and ready to go, you can have multiple cars on one control just remembered to bind it each time or your throttle/brake ect won't be the same 👍
Any idea how you reverse gyro on this receiver. I can’t seem to get it to work.
Sure it's "press twice" watch the video to confirm 👍
@@mehimrc1314 perhaps my receiver is defective. I press 2x a few times and nothing.
I’ll try another new receiver I guess
I have xdcg version. But i noticed that may turn light (right) is not working.
Turn light (left) is fine.
I checked the led by swapping it, no problem. But the turn light (right )is not working.
@@mehimrc1314 the emergecy/hazard lights is working both left & right so i think its not contact issue.
Is it the micro chip or components inside the receiver has a problem?
@@Manly Both sets work when in hazard mode but not independent from each other, I'd definitely call a faulty receiver/chip that controls the indicators independently.
If you've not had it long try contacting the seller, if not buy another one unfortunately.
