Two things that really need to be mentioned are that this transmitter/receiver combo has more range than probably any other unit and that it has quite fast response times. The range, on other channels, was tested to work at over 500m, which really is very impressive, especially for the money.

I don’t know why this just popped in my head but for anyone who has a RLAARLO car or truck and it came with the regular transmitter that they give everybody with the flat top three knobs two buttons in the power button. Take the transmitter apart, inside, you will see the actual antenna wire taped to the inside of the transmitter. It’s super easy and should take you more than 15 minutesand your range will be way way better

The flysky gt3 b is a decent radio I've had it for about 6months and have raced with it and it's a good radio especially for around 40$ definitely worth it even if you have a good radio because the receivers are dirtcheap so you can use it as a basher radio or if you have a bunch of cars that you don't want your 50+$ recievers in
Same here Andrew! I love my flysky! And you can get receivers for 10$ or 3 for 20$!! And it performs great! Have had no issues with mine. A great upgrade at a entry level price. Can't beat it!
It's also hackable for 8 ch with full control on each ch. Any button can be assigned to any ch. Best cheap setup I could find at the time. Once the hacked firmware is installed it can be setup to do all kinds of things. Gt3 c has better battery 1s lipo.
Hey, I recently got this receiver/transmitter set up. I put it in my arrma senton 3s Blx which has the blx100esc. I installed it with the controls and Gyro working perfectly for about one minute until everything halts and the ESC starts blinking red. I made sure to do a factory reset, and ensure that I am working with a full battery in both the controller and the car. Several times now, same result. Now when I hold the send button and turn it on it just blinks/chirps and won’t stop until I turn it off. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi razor rc, I have a question about this transmitter well actually it's the surpass hobby 4 channel version of this transmitter but idk what I done but now I can't get my wpl c14 truck to work with this transmitter anymore!!! It worked great for like a month used it everyday but then all of a sudden I had a red blinking light on my cheap $10 surpass hobby/no brand esc from Banggood and it would no longer work at all but I had steering still!! I changed my esc now 3 different times with the same kind of cheap esc's and all I get is the same red blinking light on each of them soon as I plug in my battery!!! Then I used a castle micro sidewinder 2 esc in the same wpl c14 truck and I couldn't get it to work for longer then a couple seconds at an extremely low speed and then that esc would cut off and start flashing red so I tried to calibrate the remote to the castle esc and now I can't get receiver to do anything other then just light up but no response not even steering!!! Can you please help me with this?? And I apologise for the long message also!!
I have a feeling it's the battery, not the radio or ESC. Check the voltage on the battery with a cheap lipo alarm or if your charger can tell you, make sure it's at the full voltage. Are you using lipo batteries?
@@RazorRC at first I was using just the cheap ass battery packs that the truck came with and then I bought one of the li-ion battery upgrades but it didn't come with a charger but I had bought a cheap imaxRC b3 pro compact charger for 2 and 3 cell lipo batteries awhile back for my wltoys a979 truck I have but it doesn't have a voltage display on the charger and honestly not sure if it is actually charging the li ion battery even though it shows that it is!!! The Dumbo transmitter works fine, the ESC didn't want to work right.
@@dustinkarrick7819 one more thing to keep in mind in case you ever need to do that again. if you are running brushed or brushless sensorless motors you can switch the wires around. Any two of the three wires. And the motor will rotate the opposite direction .
matching the wires correctly Only truly matters if you are running a sensored system.
@@LeBlanc10 Absolutely! This was intended to be a sensored setup. It did work unplugging the sensor wire and switching the wires. But what's the point in having a sensored ESC and Motor if you're not going to use em!
can i use the gyro with a 4 channel Transmittler?
No
Hi, how do we set the failsafe?
Factory set, when it disconnects it sets servos to default position so throttle etc isn’t engaged
How big a deal is it that it doesn't have end point adjustment? I don't want to prematurely wear out my servo.
Not a big deal, just turn down the DR
@Razor RC Thanks for the help. I'm currently using the radio that came with my rtr setup and it kind of sucks. If I'm going to upgrade I really do want it to be an upgrade. I actually received it and the steering trim was set way to the right to even out the steering. I thought it should have been centered so I did it myself. Thought all was well and after driving noticed it was now way to the left after I had centered it. Don't know if that is a radio issue, a servo issue, a servo saver issue or something else but I'm hoping to get rid of these types of problems.
Can you use this controller on a nitro rc ?
I raced for the first time this weekend. Had this bound to a Tekno ET48.3. (Yes I now know that’s not the class to start with 😂)
I really don’t want to spend more money on a radio when this one has such fast response / low latency and good range.
Are EPA worth spending 300 minimum on?
Your thoughts pls? :)
Thx!!
Does it have fail save
My rating for the manual is 0, cause I didn't get a manual with either of the units I received. I did eventually find the manual on some FCC site. Google um-4307855. Pdf
Great, thx man!
BreakinStuffAndLikingIt how do you bind it is it where you just hit that button or how’s it done
@@jasonlemmond3012 turn on transmitter. Hit tiny button on receiver. It will quickly flash. When it stops it should be paired
Wish it had a high medium and low cause my kids drive my car.
Just turn down the throttle dual-rate. It's the right bottom knob.
Does the flysky gt5 worth the extra? I am about to buy this one
yes I think it's worth the extra $
The flysky gt3 b is a decent radio I've had it for about 6months and have raced with it and it's a good radio especially for around 40$ definitely worth it even if you have a good radio because the receivers are dirtcheap so you can use it as a basher radio or if you have a bunch of cars that you don't want your 50+$ recievers in
Same here Andrew! I love my flysky! And you can get receivers for 10$ or 3 for 20$!! And it performs great! Have had no issues with mine. A great upgrade at a entry level price. Can't beat it!
Chris Watson I've seen the recievers for 5$ and the gt3 b has model memory much better buy in my opinion also
@@andrewbrummer9539 Where did you see the receivers for 5$? Yeah I'm happy with mine.
Chris Watson I think eBay the prices go down and up once they go back down I will buy some more
It's also hackable for 8 ch with full control on each ch.
Any button can be assigned to any ch.
Best cheap setup I could find at the time.
Once the hacked firmware is installed it can be setup to do all kinds of things.
Gt3 c has better battery 1s lipo.
how to setup failsafe for nitro?
You would lose your TSM on your Traxxas right?
Scott McLinden yes, you have to change out the receiver too
Every time you trying to remote on and find whatever car you have on multiple vehicles
I have mine connected up and everything is working but when I pull the throttle truck move in reverse why is this
Most likely your motor wires are reversed from the ESC. Or you need to switch the Normal/Reverse on channel 2.
Same with my granite 3s BLX. How did you fix it?
I am fairly new to the whole hobby grade rc hobby but have enjoyed rc my whole life from childhood to now being 34 lol!!!
@@RazorRC I feel like an idiot by asking that question but from all the hundreds of video I have watched none of them have actually given me the answer I am needing so the only other way to find out the info I need is to just look like an idiot and ask people the question lol!!!
@@webb6158 no worries, no such thing as a dumb question, doesn't matter who you are there are always people who know more than you or know less! yeah double check the voltage with a $5 voltage checker/alarm and make sure it's fully charged. Some chargers have a time cutoff or mah cutoff that is set too low, so you don't get a full charge and you need to increase it. that's a common problem.
Ok I will order one of these lipo checkers/alarms immediately and I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to talk with me about all of this and I have been watching alot of your vids and you have great content!!!
My steering trim is actually reversed. Any fixes?
I’m guessing your steering switch is reversed? Nothing you can do about it.
Got one brand new for my slash worked great until the velineon system crapped out. Replaced with newer version vxl 3s, using same transmitter and receiver and get a blinking green light. Reprogrammed transmitter and same results. Is it not compatible with the new vxl 3s? Any help please would be appreciated.
recalibrate the full throttle/brake on the ESC
@@RazorRC ill recalibrate it again but ive done it a few times and it still blinks green. It also blinks when I threw in an axial tx and rd also. I did try a fly sky setup and that seemed to work but fly sky rx is damaged, goes out of range after about 40 feet out. I really dont want to spend over 100 dollars for a traxxas tx and rx there is gotta be a way to make this dumbo work. Ill try again thanks for the advice.
@@martij82 Did you get it to work? I know it's been over a year but I'm in the same boat haha
@@xx-----------xx873 No never I just got an original Traxxas transmitter and receiver that my buddy gave me and its working fine. Maybe the dumbo one crapped out I guess.
I use the foam off a broken wltoys radio on my dumbo RC Wheel
Pc what is the size so I can get one
Nice job!
Question, can this radio be binded with multiple receivers?
yes, but you're going to have to set your trim and dual-rate every time you switch cars
@@RazorRCthanks for the answer, I am cool with that is the same vehicle I just need a transmitter that could work on both
I think they mean the type of plastic is ABS
What's it's control range mate?
About 500m, more than enough
I've heard it has model memory? Just add receivers to multiple cars. Is this true?
Where did you hear that...
No
Kevin talbut RC you tube,he does unboxing, and said that you can add up to twenty receivers, there a switch on the receiver and turn in controller and they just bind, only one car at a time, even has 2settings for normal steering and a mode for tanks Bacco trucks, etc
How do you program lets say the read as self righting to the dumborc?
Self righting is a feature of the Traxxas receiver. If you change it to a DumboRC, you won’t have it anymore.
Oh gotcha, thanks I appreciate the quick response
Cool Video Bro 😎✌🏻
Do you know the name of the official site of Dumbo ?
I found :) www.dumborc.com/en/
When I turn off the transmitter while the car is on, sometimes its goes crazy full throttle. Anyone faced the same thing?, or I just have a defected unit?
Ahmed try setting the fail safe on your car. If it loses signal (like your turn off the car), it goes to its preset failsafe.
@@RazorRC Does this happens to you too? Can you tell me how to set this fail safe. Im just worried if my car gets out of range and start acting up
Ahmed try binding it again, it’s in the manual. Basically just hit the button on the receiver one time and it should flash
@@RazorRC Will do that and report back. But still Im wondering if someone else have the problem. Have you tried switching pff the transmitter while the car/boat is still on. You have to do it may times for it to happen
Just tried rebinding. Same thing!
Is the receiver Waterproof?
no
Absima has the exact same Radio lol
Yes, Absima has more rebranded things including whole vehicles but always way more expensive than the original
