The WS6 Trans Am I brought home is really getting down to not a lot of parts left to sell. I want to put 4.10 gears in the convertible to make it way more fun to drive. I don't however want to pull it apart and wait. I decided to take the rear end out of the Trans Am and have that rear end rebuilt with the 4.10 gears. When I get it back we will do the swap. I know that the 4.10 in a 10 bolt isn't great for strength but I am just wanting to have fun with the car. I show you parts of how to remove the rear end and updated pricing on the parts I have sold. How close am I to getting a free motor and transmission. We are way closer! Way more to come on all these projects! Hit the Comments and let me know what you think.......

Two fbody videos in one week! You are the man. If I lived closer, I would buy the TA hatch.
Thank you
Nice job Travis.. GM 10 bolt 7.5" rear end is a pretty easy removal and install.. I'm surprised you didn't build it yourself... I built mine completely Inside with all new timken bearings and seals with Moser 28 spline cclip axles and Richmond 3:73 gears with Eaton Tru Trac carrier.. I even changed out the Carrier housing thrust bearings with timken... I'm not going to be beating on my TA.. i built it rite though for cruising with my wife and going to car meets or cruise inns.. 👍
I probably should have
Swapping rear ends in f-bodies are pretty easy. I swapped a strange 12 bolt into my car. Your video reminded me of the swap.
I need one of those for my Trans am
Underrated content. Keep em comin bro.
Thank you
thank u sir
You're welcome
Those side skirts for some reason are hard to come by. You gave that one away haha
Probably so
great video as usual,, would 4.10 helps with cam surge?
It does
What are the dimensions of the shop? I kinda want a 4 bay with 2 having 14 foot doors to be able to park a camper or travel trailer. I like the storage lift but would also want a 2 post lift. Would a 4 post like your lift and a 2 post lift allow access if the 4 post was in the back and the 2 post located in the front? Not trying to get into your business - but - if you could change your size, layout, etc what would you change? Thanks in advance!
45x50. Would have made it 100x200
@@TWAMotorsports what wall height would be needed for a 14’ door or would you just do a carport for an Rv or travel trailer?
It is 12ft side wall
Is that antenna stuck/broken?
Yes
its friggin miserable to sell anything nowadays
It sure can be
3 channel and 4 channel, okay I see the difference under the hood, but what is different at the rear end? Is it wiring that goes to the rear end? I just bought a rear end to have a spare, and it’s off a traction control car and mine isn’t, can I still use it if I needed to?
You can go from 3 channel to 4 channel, but can’t go the other way (easily anyway). The abs sensor on the 3 channel cars are on top of the center section with a hole drilled, the 4 channel do not have that hole. The 4 channel have sensors on each end in the backing plates. The 3 channel also uses a big reluctor ring on the post where the 4 channel have them in the axles ends.
@jasonpfitzner194 yeah that would suck
Jason answered this. Not easily
@@jasonpfitzner194thanks for the explanation. Well looks like the spare rear I bought will be for sale. My car doesn’t have traction control, so the spare rear end I bought came from a traction control F body. Anyone need a decent rear end for a good price. @TWAMotorsports do want on to put back under the Trans Am 😂
@@Gretsch6122it will still work, just lose the abs, which I have pulled on the last few cars anyway lol.
