I am 100% sure that I'll be reviewing your guides for the weeks to come. I just bought the game yesterday and she felt like a real match for what I'm looking for.

I am absolutely locked IN for Jun this game, and I gotta say, this is hands down the most comprehensive and detailed guide I've seen on this site so far. Lots of stuff in here that I didn't know about when I thought I knew a good bit of the character after labbing for days, so rest assured I'll be reading the rest of your guides and lessons for her. Let's show them what the Kaza-mama is all about.
This guide is so thorough, loving the way you go through everything with simplicity. I'm actually playing Azucena but the conversation around stances is super transferrable to her too I think so that's awesome
I will never take these docs you made for granted because holy shit, none of the other characters I'm trying to learn have similar resources and it's driving me insane.

I was unsure on what character to start my T8 journey with, but I'm picking Jun based on your guides alone! Man Jun really caught my eye, and she is the first character i picked up in T8. I've learnt some of the moves you are talking about. But since reaching Warrior its been getting hard and i don't know what i should be working on.
patience. don't do things just to do them. have purpose. you poke them low so you can keep attacking. you use jabs or df+1 to stop them and catch your breath. think about your moves in terms of why the exist - offense or defense. character knowledge helps because there are millions of scrub-ass strings that will blow you up until you learn them.
Was hesitant to watch this becuase the lenght made me think it would be a wordy unstructured mess. So happy i did anyway, stellar guide, structured, decent production, very informative. Looking forward to part 2!
thanks! that's why i put individual videos out as well. 15 minute segments, easy to digest. people can chose the pace they want to watch. glad you enjoyed!
The guide is so nice i really appreciate it. Just little thing it would be nice to activate the button that you press on the left so like this after speaking about a move even 45 min after when you redo it and we dont remember we dont have to come back 45 min earlier and just watch your button list and be like ah yeah true it's this. Helps a lot I am very new to tekken and I dont really know how tekken world works in RUclips but I think making some review on replays with Jun making pause saying like okay here you can see how i pressure, how I play mid range etc etc it would be so nice just to see how everything works together perfectly.
nah. command history moves the entire lower UI way out. If I'm talking about b+4, 99% chance b+4 is on the screen, in the caption. there is always the list of the moves in the current section in that caption, as well as that same list in the accompanying google doc. if you are completely new to Tekken, this is going to be out of your league. you need to know some basic things first. there's a playlist of beginner guides for Tekken 7 on this channel, as well as a new one being made now. just take things one step at a time. don't worry about everything I said for a move. go out and practice some things, then worry about the little details.
I was so surprised when i got punished so easily and often with that uf1 during a ranked match that i said to myself "i need to learn her" - that move is kinda broken and i think she has some guaranteed follow up. Great video i love that you go straight to the point of core informations!
I know! you cannot cram more information than this into a single video. that's why combos are in a separate video. lol. My original Tekken 7 guides used be similar, but i would just sorta go down the movelist and talk about each move - good, bad, yes, no, hopkick, etc. this left no way to review sections or organize any kind of strategy. the google docs are amazing imo, because of the grouping and function, and those are the notes I shoot from when making the video. I learn details, test scenarios, add follow-ups, all in those documents. then I make sure I actually cover everything that's relevant and do so with a purpose. even if you don't make videos, taking that kind of structured, step-by-step approach is really good for learning in general.
Hi Mastermind, i have a simple question and i want you to be honest : is Jun good for a total newbee of tekken series? Or maybe i need to start learning with another character? (sameone advise to use Law for example). Please let me know. And thx you in advance for all this incredible tutorials, incredible job, i signed up to the channel and left likes on jun's videos, even if you advise me not to start with her ^^
no one is *that* complex that you shouldn't use them first, except maybe Steve. Jun is fine. just take it a chapter at a time. learn how to play neutral and not do dumb things. do things with purpose. offense/defense. then take a look at stances and more as you go on.
Man ur guide is best in the world...u teach a lot of good tech's... thanks for drive link notes.... happy to be ur subscriber doo lot of characters guides im expecting from you ☺️
Amazing guide! I've been trying out Jun for a bit now trying to comprehend her move set by myself (and failing). Tekken 8 is the first fighting game I've played that I actually want to get good at instead of just being decent so this helps a lot. Also, I noticed that in her Izumo stance you can press 2 + 3 (Y + A on Xbox controller) to go directly into a grab. Don't know how useful that is as higher levels but I've gotten some good use out of it at lower levels.
not a lot. it doesn't matter if you use 2+3 or 1+4 to do the throw, it's still broken by 1+2, so pretty much everyone that's on game will just break the only IZU throw. whereas if your goal is to hit an opponent who's just standing, you might as well do the low - IZU 4,1 - imo. the throw won't condition anyone to duck, since they can just break it. 4,1 will make them *think* about ducking at least once. that's the art from.
Damn this is the best guide I’ve seen looking at guides and videos for the past 4 days. Being new to Tekken I find it hard to formulate a game plan compared to SF6. This guide made it simple to understand things to do without being complicated. Any chance of a Lili guide like this in the future? Would be a dream haha. Thanks for the great guide.
ha! Lili is next! she was my main for last 2 or 3 years. notes are already finished! also check out the playlist on my channel of beginner guides for Tekken 7. they are still 99.9% accurate. lots of little things that can help you. enjoy!
Wow you just made my day! That’s actually amazing news as there’s no real Lili guides for T8. I can’t wait to see the vid! Until then I’ll check out your T7 beginner guides to get a better understanding. Appreciate the reply and helping new players break into the game.@@mastermind6000
Had to comment, because this was everything I was looking for so thank you for all the work you put into this! Creating a document for reference as well - legendary. This is my first Tekken since Tekken 2 (as a kid), so learning how/when/why behind things is exactly what I needed. You know your stuff and are good at breaking it down.
thanks! a series of beginner guides is coming. the playlist of guides I already have for T7 is also still accurate. check em out and see if there's any stuff you're missing! enjoy!
Super helpful, my only input is you could probably reorder things and/or throw up a very quick "press this not that" top moves and followups at the start for your next guide. I found myself skipping back and forth for things to make sense coming in with no knowledge. Well worth it though it's a great comprehensive guide ty!
I did put a top 15 moves in the description, because that didn't make it into recording for some reason. I want to tweak the sequence a little bit to try a build a more cohesive connection between moves. Lili guide will have a few improvements

Heyaaaa, Thank you for guide. It was pleasure listen to you. Great voice acting ! I could listen you for next hour without getting boring. Now, I have to practice and finding combos out. Jun in T8 is, for the first time a complex character with planty tools. Hope will see us somewhere in T8 Network ! Best regards
What a comprehensive, analytical resource. As a Julia expat, it can feel overwhelming picking up a new character, lacking much of the detail you pick up on over years of learning that you so thoroughly include in your guide. Thank you!
Thank you so much! She is my main with Asuka, btw I don't know if you play Asuka but if you do, could you do a video like that? If you don't, do you know a video that explain well her moves like you did with Jun? 😅
Asuka would be pretty far down the list. I know *most* of the characters, but Asuka is pretty flat compared to a lot of new T8 stuff, imo. but in a long enough timeline, I'm going to make all the videos I can!
me too :) so happy she's back. I've had this guide prepared for like 2 months. I did all the research immediately, just needed the game to come out and capture the footage :)
Great work on this! I was almost at the point of making my own video guide but you cover pretty much everything so well. Only thing I might add is that Genjitsu counters Throws as well as Lows. Throws as well I think are worth mentioning. In T8 a throw on CH only has a 8f break, and her WC d/b 1+2 is 11f, 1+2 break, and leads to 70-100 damage. At 8f unless they are preemtively mashing 1+2 they aren't breaking that on reaction. It's another ridiculous tool in her crouch game, and you can do it directly out of her f2, d and WS1+2, d cancels.
@@mastermind6000 Yeah you mentioned it a few times with the lows - it's interesting the low parry does a self-heal but the throw parry does not. I'm looking forward to the part 2 covering combos! I've spent many hours labbing but there's always stuff I'm sure I missed - that thing in the IAMOP video with the side flip was not something I would have found myself for sure.
This has helped me immensly!!! 😄😄 Now it’s just remembering all of this during online matches!!! 😅 Thank you for doing this Jun guide. I can finally improve my Jun (cosplaying as Ada Wong) gameplay 😊
I was actually complaining about most guides not being in-depth enough for her, and I finally found this absolute GEM! I do have a question, though. In the google docs you made, what are your brackets representing?
the square brackets mean a part of the string isnt important. like if i were to talk about b42 and i was talking about the properties of the 2 hit, then i would write it as (b4)2.
@@mastermind6000 Ohhh! That makes a LOT more sense now lol! May I suggest adding that into the doc for others? I got confused because I thought of the "quick input" brackets. So it might be a nice touch to clarify that so other people don't get the meanings mixed up :) It's either that or I just forgot to read something haha. Either way, I look forward to that combo vid!
I need a dragunov video when u have time please....I watched your video for lei wulong for tekken 7...it made me a lei wulong master and i can't be stopped with him....thanks to you.
this can be a little over your head if you're new. it definitely expects you to understand tekken already. that's the voice I chose. BUT if you look in my channel there is a playlist of beginner guides for Tekken 7. they are 99.9% accurate for T8 as well. check em out and you'd be surprised how well structured the whole system really is, and why it takes an hour and half to talk about 1 character! :) cheers!
the docs are pretty sick, if I'm being honest. THAT'S the most important part for my process. I learn by breaking down and organizing, then referring back for reminders. glad you enjoy!
Yes they are indeed. I have them open during labbing for reference. Can't wait to see the combo guide and some other characters since I'm not 100% set on one (Jun, Nina, Asuka, Lili, Reina, Yoshi) coming from a DoA background. Take care @@mastermind6000
As someone who's been out of the Tekken world since I was maybe in my teens - the number of move properties that aren't clearly spelled out anywhere is kind of hilarious. I keep finding out moves have some special property you'd never think about just looking at the move list.
this game is the first to do a good job of indicating things like "hold forward to dash" and stuff like that, which used to be hidden. the only stuff left for us to find is the weird stuns and knockdowns on counter hits and the like. and there are a lot of those. hope this helps! :)

Man ur guide is best in the world...u teach a lot of good tech's... thanks for drive link notes.... happy to be ur subscriber doo lot of characters guides im expecting from you ☺️
if i called this guide amazing, it would be an understatement. it is SO GOOD. thank you for this
thanks!!!!
Thanks for making this, I've been trying her out and got her to some rank games now.
Been waiting for a Jun guide and wow this is extensive. Better than i hoped for. Thank you.
Lili guide still coming soon? 😀@@mastermind6000
I've been looking forward to a Jun guide as I'm struggling playing with her a lot
Really appreciate your work !
this is sick. much respect! i been struggling with punishes and this about to help me level up.
This is such a well made guide. Thank you for the massive amount of work you put in. Time to hit the Lab!
really liked this video cuz ive been keeping my eye out for one ever since i saw jun in this game 😭 ive played mk & ssbu so tekken is a whole new wheelhouse but this guide helps a lot ! good work !
Anxiously waiting for the combo guide!
please don't under estimate the reach of db + 3 Thank you so much for the guide, the docs and timestamps . I love your method of teaching. I'm shocked that I've just now run across your channel. Great job. I'm really looking forward to more.
i found a good main love her style she got better and man shes has it all and that dash move she does like as if she does a one inch punch is my fav
This is exactly what I needed as someone getting into Tekken for the first time 🥺
check out the rest of the channel and you'll find a playlist of beginner guides for Tekken 7. they are 99.9% accurate for Tekken 8 as well. lots of little thigns lo learn when it comes to being solid. cheers!
Good bless this man for the google docs and all the info written as well, it helps so much. Keep up the great work
Awesome in-depth guide! Really helpful explanations for a beginner :D Thanks!
there's a basics guide playlist on my channel. It's from T7 but it's 99.9% accurate for T8. check it out and make sure you have the fundamentals covered. it helps a lot! enjoy!
Thanks so much for this
This guide is a fucking 10 outta 10. Thank you very much. So many guides out here are *terrible*. The play style section was especially good.
Jun combo guide is up now - ruclips.net/video/kEVJ-Um4EFM/видео.html
@@mastermind6000
Wow, good to have you here !
I will check it later this day.
A lots of love and gratitude to you 🤝🙏
What a comprehensive, analytical resource.
This is amazing!! Keep making videos you are great at it would love to see more
This is such a great comprehensive guide and I’m so appreciative of the legacy info, the poking section was especially helpful. Thank you so much!❤
hope it helps and combos are on the way!
Thank you. I have been using your TT2 guide up until now for her.
me too :) so happy she's back. I've had this guide prepared for like 2 months. I did all the research immediately, just needed the game to come out and capture the footage :)
Great depth and good to see the strategies and strengths. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the community!
It's another ridiculous tool in her crouch game, and you can do it directly out of her f2, d and WS1+2, d cancels.
yeah, I didn't cover throws. it should have been after parries, but I must have missed it.
it definitely says the GEN stance parries lows though.
When the world needed him the most, he came with the goods!! Great guide man, hope to see more content in the future 👍
absolutely! Reina and Lili are on the track.
Thanks very much for this detailed guide, I've gotten to Eliminator with very trash play and the players are quite hard now.. but not for long!!
GET 'EM!!!
I was thinking about switching from reina to jun and the guide was just here in my reccomended so thank you😂
This has helped me immensly!!! 😄😄 Now it’s just remembering all of this during online matches!!! 😅 Thank you for doing this Jun guide. I can finally improve my Jun (cosplaying as Ada Wong) gameplay 😊
check those google docs. leave em open and glance back at some stuff between matches. it can really help to keep the memory fresh.
Can't wait for Lili guide! Your T7 guide for her upped my game to mega tier!
Lili will probably be 3rd. the notes are 90% finished already, but I want to check out Reina badly. she'll probably get done next.
@@Lunars_Zs good point. I should explain that notation. I'm on it. thanks boss!!
Thanks for this🎉 I really apreciated your last one so this should be 👍
Thanks for this I suck as jun and wish to get better I'm stuck at warrior rank
good luck and just keep it simple. play, don't stress!
I'll not to it's just I'm easily beaten
Finally a Jun guide and a very in depth one. Keep up the good work, instant subscribe!
Loved that yuugiou reference😂❤
can't remember what I said. I say, "believe in the heart of the cards," a lot, going for a crazy move.
I need a dragunov video when u have time please....I watched your video for lei wulong for tekken 7...it made me a lei wulong master and i can't be stopped with him....thanks to you.
Dragunov is likely going to be a long time. he's pretty low on my list, but hopefully someday.
Btw, the genjitsu stance also autoparries throws =). Great video! Learned alot, very good guide, thanks alot :D
Great to see you back on tekken man, you got me into tekken with the Lili Guide, a hug from Brazil.
Welcome back!
God bless you man. I’ll be studying this
Such a useful guide for Jun! tyty
Amazing guide, thanks for this! Subbed!
This guide is fantastic! Thank you!
im new to tekken & have been looking every where for something like this. thank u very much for ur hard work & dedication.
this can be a little over your head if you're new. it definitely expects you to understand tekken already. that's the voice I chose. BUT if you look in my channel there is a playlist of beginner guides for Tekken 7. they are 99.9% accurate for T8 as well. check em out and you'd be surprised how well structured the whole system really is, and why it takes an hour and half to talk about 1 character! :) cheers!
@@mastermind6000 i checked them out & also subscribed. thanks again.
Amazing guide!!! I was taking handwritten notes during the video and only at end found out that you provide docs and tables. Thank you very much
the docs are pretty sick, if I'm being honest.
Yes I've been waiting for a Jun guide
combos will be up soon, then on to the next character!
You're awesome and I suck at remembering to comment to support via the algorithm but keep it up! I'm like half the views on these vids lolol
thanks haha
Also a tip that wasn't in this video, genjitsu parries lows AND throws! So if your opponent is throwing a lot doing genjitsu is very valid option.
I think that's in there. somewhere. it definitely mentions that the GEN low parry restores health.
