Give the hapless photo person x number of days to pursue the hobby/craft. Or, a photo trip with two whole days at a new location. Why two days? The weather could be less than ideal during much of one day. Agree with the don’t buy a lens or a bag for the photographer !!

Excellent point, giving airline vouchers or even just time for a trip is a great idea!
Good video, 1 more gift idea, if you have a budget of 100 or more euro get them a old working SLR with a 50mm lens + couple rolls of tri-x 400.

Highly recommend the G9, the GH5 is probably better for video, but for the stills and ergonomics you can't beat the G9!
