Spider-Man has never been shown to be able to reverberate massive shockwaves like Hulkbuster did against Hulk. (Keep in mind that was Hulkbuster v1) and Spidey got thrown around by Cull like a toy. Hulkbuster can casually topple buildings while Spidey barely lifted a slightly larger than car sized metal contraption off of him. One feat like this isn’t enough to scale him many times stronger than Hulk/Hulkbuster as they both have many larger feats than this. Cull could have just been overconfident and not tried his hardest. He’s definitely not stronger or as strong, as then there’s no reason for him to struggle against people like Vulture.

I’d say that he was impressed by Tony but not intimidated. Thanos did admit that he respected tony and was actually planning to kill him. Tony was the only one that Thanos went out of his way to try to kill and only spared him in return for the time stone

What impresses me the most is just how nonchalantly Peter caught Black Dwarfs axe/hammer. He did that w/ absolutely no effort whatsoever. Same goes for the airport scene in CIVIL WAR, when he caught Bucky's vibranium arm w/ little to no effort. What's great about that interaction between Peter & Bucky, is the look of disbelief on Bucky's face when Peter caught his arm. Just sayin'. 🇨🇦👊🏻🤙🏻

Bro Spider-Man is actually terrifying. He just casually catches a weapon that about probably killed iron man or at least would have really hurt him. What’s scary is that he was acting happy and normal when he caught it. If peter ever snapped and tried to kill someone they would need to be as strong as thanos with 3 or more stones to not get floored. Another thing is how his suit isn’t why he’s that strong. He’s just THAT strong normally. Peter was thanos’ strongest threat at the time realistically. Because everyone was probably trying to kill or seriously hurt thanos while peter is too kind to kill anyone. But when he does thats gonna be scary.
Spider-Man is strong, but definitely not as strong to be thanos’s biggest threat. Thor is.

You look and see how strong he is when he’s not being serious and just goofing around. The park scene really demonstrates how ridiculously strong MCU spider man is. Cull Obsidian is throwing iron man like a rag doll. The same Cull Obsidian that goes toe to toe with the Hulk Buster and even steps up to take on Hulk himself. Obsidian aims a killing blow at iron man and Peter effortlessly catches it and says hey man.
