After seeing Endgame a question has been on my mind ever since, who will replace Thanos. My answer is Doctor Doom :D

Doom is an excellent choice (as always, if done correctly). After Endgame it seems the stakes are going to have to be along the lines of Doom, Galactus, Celestials level opponents and then had best tighten up the scripts a bit more, making it more seamless with less plot holes, including massive ones.

I agree that he should be the next Thanos. This is a character who is so arrogant that he thinks he'd do an amazing job ruling the world. After what these heroes had done to the world, him wanting to step up is the best route. It makes the best sense.

He was a master of technology even surpassing stark in terms of IQ. Stark died in MCU movie so instead of resurrecting him we might get to connect the avenger with fantastic four, and the heroes i would think who had the capability to defeat him was the one who had the IQ that rivals him. And surprisingly that would be Dr. Reed Richard, Dr strange and Peter Parker(His IQ is 250 dubbed higher than Tony stark and rivaled Reed Richard). Yes you might think parker has no chance against Dr Doom, you're right but against such enemies he would've never fought alone. While Reed Richard, well do i need to explain?
@Tornike Tvalchrelidze They should've added that Doom once Saved a whole village of Gypsies from the wrath of a genocidal Baron while at the age younger than peter parker. I would definitely watched that movie where they included doom's early life. If only one thing i ask for marvel i hope they didnt change his background story. I mean they could've changed the story from instead meeting reed richard at Empire State university with Peter Parker. In the comic he tried to work with peter parker tough its a cross over and i don't think its canonical.
It would be a big plot twist that he rejected Reed Richard as his roommate but found out his roommate at University was peter parker.
But please dont change his childhood story in Europe. It shapes him to what he is today.
@Tornike Tvalchrelidze actually no...sandman was actually a tragic character. But we viewers failed to see him as a good character since he did something immoral but in the end he was infact a human just like you and me. Alnost all of his bad deeds was due to him trying to save his DAUGHTER. But Peter Parker trying to play street hero and getting revenge for his uncle almost made him failing to save his ill daughter.
We need a tragic yet misunderstood supervillain. Dr Doom fit this criteria. He basically an anti-thesis of Royal Supremacy and He in his early years was infact a savior of a minority ethnic in europe.
I mean, his arrogance is justified. He is literally the best.

If they do make Doom the big bad I hope they flesh out his relationship with Reed. The Doom/Reed dichotomy is underrated and I want Doom vs Richards as well rather than just Avengers that don't have a personal connection Victor.

I do however hoped that Richard would tag team with Peter Parker in terms of intellect. Seriously peter's intelligence was underrepresented and he infact had an IQ of 250 even higher than Tony Stark. Now that Stark is dead, the only hyper-intellect human on Earth left were only banner, Parker, Strange and Reed. They should STOP making peter goofy goodie to shoes as if he was the Next Iron man/Iron man jr.

Mcu Peter is really struggling in terms of being iron man. No way home will hopefully change that but I view him as annoying tbh.
Spidey is my favorite marvel character and I want the best for him. Maybe during no way home we see him experimenting with tech and gadgets on his own.
I wanna see him getting knee deep into tech, and not just mooching off stark stuff.

I think Doctor Doom should be an "antivillain". He sometimes helps the heroes and sometimes attacks them, but always having something in mind. In Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes he is portrayed really well, he kidnaps sue storm and wasp and uncovers that sue is a skrull in disguise but the heroes just think he is being evil. He gives a scanner to tony stark and helps like that. That would be pretty cool.

not only do i think that doom has the capabilities to be as good of a villain as thanos, but i really think, if done right, he can be BETTER. he has the potential to be one of the greatest cinematic villains of all time.

I definitely think Dr Doom should be the next 'mastermind.' He is definitely one of the more interesting villains, offering the most character and substance as you said. I like your idea of slowly building him up, but people will want to see him in F4 1 or F4 2 because he is their arch-enemy. Also, previous F4 movies have been mixed bags to flops, so if they put all their eggs into Dr Doom being the next 'mastermind', that might not work out. Also, I hope Galactus gets 2 movies. Either way, looking forward to finally seeing a comic-correct adaptation.

Your idea for Doom makes sense.
One of the things that made Thanos so compelling too was that the other baddies the avengers had faced before him were his fault (the attack on New York, for example). As long as Doom does something similar and is tied to other tragedies the heroes have faced before, then I'll buy it.
I want some MF DOOM references whenever we see Dr DOOM
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! Especially your map of the MCU going forward. I too think it stupid and pointless to do a Doom origin movie and also think that just throwing him into Fantastic Four as the villain is rushing it. He would make a great villain of the next three phases, which people don't get cause of his poor depiction in the movies. You could have him always behind the scenes, always manipulating the events of previous films with his power and influence, all building to an epic final film. HOWEVER, instead of Doomsday, seeing the Multiverse direction the MCU is heading in, I can do one better: SECRET WARS! That would definitely rival Infinity War/Endgame in scale, and we can see Emperor Doom, showcasing what Doom is fully capable of. You could also throw in the Beyonders throughout the next three phases to set that up too. What a bright future for the MCU.

if, by some miraculous twist of fate, Marvel makes a good decision and actually goes through with this, Doom needs to have a scene along the lines of Vader's hallway scene.
Walking down the hall, bullets crumpling against his forcefield, him throwing people around with his telekinesis and cutting people down with the same ethereal weapons Kaecilius used, warping reality in the same way as well, show off that he's mastered the magic of the Dark Dimension but, when we eventually see his scarred face much later in the film, his eyes are intact and there's no sigil on his head, he's fully dominated it, not letting it harm or control him.
A good villain is also a relatable villain, Doom knowing and believe he is the one who can save the future, is definitely relatable, doing horrible things in the service of good.

The reason why it is relatable is because thats how humans are most easily ready to do evil acts, when they believe its for the betterment of the "tribe". Humans do everything for the greater good, just look at the trolley problem.
Now we cant relate to the beliefs of Adolf, which is probably what you're referring too.
After seeing him as Kylo Ren Adam Driver could really pull this off he can really play complex characters with deep emotion and pain which is really what the MCU Doom needs

Would work incredibly well, after the death of his mother and father Doom leaves to educate himself in technology and mystical arts, learns most of what he can to bring his mother back from hell. He needs resources and more koney so returns to Sokovia(Latveria) only to find it in near ruin after Ultron. Thus now is not only seeking to save his mother from Mephisto, but also the rest of the world from self destruction and heroes and a law which are incable of preventing destruction and death.
I love using the fall of Sokovia as the place where Latvaria can rise

Doom is by far my favorite marvel villain. He has such depth of character and i agree that he deserves a long and carefully crafted character arc in order to do him justice. After all the things sony did to my boy, i want his entrance into the mcu to be perfectly designed.
The fact that Noah Hawley was attached to the Dr.Doom solo movie project was gueninely exciting as he did an amazing work on Legion which was the best comics-related show of the last few years for me. Also a deep dive into a villain through a solo movie is something the MCU hasn't done yet so no I don't think the idea is that ridiculous it can be a way to shake things up in how they introduce their big bad.
I would love to see an updated version of this regarding the theory’s for Doom being in BP 2, Kang becoming a larger villain, and the newer MCU projects happening!
Must say that you’re a creative genius. The F4 concept is great although I think Annihilus should be saved for Nova and give the F4 Wizard, Super Skull, Heralds of Galactus, the Avengers and F4 Galactus and then of course Doom. Doctor Doom is my all time favourite villain!

Like, somehow he finds out about its existence and in a quick throwaway line, he says something to the effect of, "I'll build my own as a hobby to kill time before my actual plan is finished". I feel like that'd be such a "Doom" line.
I dunno, just him making such a reference in such a way seems very in character for him to me.
Dr.Doom is personally my favourite super villain, I really really hope they do him justice.

I couldn't agree with you more. Doom is the greatest villain Marvel has to offer and his character needs to be treated as such in the films. He isn't some one off villain used for the heroes origin and then gets killed off. As a character he has depth and intrigue deserving of a lot of screen time and development. And what can't be forgotten is that he is powerful, he is one of the most powerful villains in the entire universe and unlike Thanos who needed the Infinity Stones to be that powerful, Doom gets it all on his own. A mind and technological prowess rivaling Tony Stark and magical power on par with Doctor Strange. He needs to mop the floor with heroes and perform god like feats to display this power so the audience really understands how much of a threat he is.
One idea I wrote for Doom's origin was to use the FF's Ultimate Marvel origin, but have him work on the portal. Reed notices a design flaw, that Doom refuses to correct because Doom can't admit when he's wrong. When the portal breaks down and the FF get sent to the Negative Zone, Doom spends years blaming Reed for the "death" of his friends. Time would flow differently in the Negative Zone so when the Four return, decades have past (among other things, Ben's wife has passed away). Doom is grateful to see his friends alive, but wants to make Reed admit "his" mistake. This is what ultimately drives the conflict between Doom and the Fantastic Four, as the rest of the Four still side with Reed. His former friends "betraying" him starts to make Doom paranoid and ultimately ruins his world domination plan.
Because it's not the Fantastic Four that are Doom's worst enemy, it's Doom himself.
The fantastic four have been getting shit for so long even though they are so dynamic, and nobody faces blowback from this like Doom does, I actually think he's arguably Marvels most complex and detailed villain, and has more than enough potential to become the next Thanos, and I really hope he fits that bill, been a huge Doctor Doom fan for a while and Im really just tired of seeing him get so much shit, He can easily become a household name like Thanos did, I really hope the next few phases give him his big break and I hope if he's not a villain he's at the very least a heavily involved anti-hero like he is in some comics, This character desperately needs to be done justice, I just hope they do him right

Honestly, Kevin Feige knows what he's doing as everything he plans on doing is already mapped out with the big bad in toe. I can easily see it being similar to what you want it to be. Just because you want it to be like this, and it does turn out to be like this wouldn't be because Kevin Feige seen your plans for the FF & Dr. DOOM, but because his plan was similar to yours all along. The writing is on the wall already & it's clear this is great & so is your idea of who should be Ben Grimm & Johnny Storm

I completely agree. They should not use Doom until maybe the third film. Doom deserves to be in other people’s franchises and to get his own Disney plus series. There is so much to the character that the films did not get right and deserves to get explored.
What Thanos lacked was development across the phases. With Doom they could have him be a prominent member in a few films before the climax
My only problem with the slow rollout of Doom at the rate things are moving is it seems like we will be fully in Young Avengers mode by the time they are able to properly bring him into the fold.

I think dr. Doom will come about by stealing iron man’s armour now that stark is dead. Doom will then mod the armour into the doom armour we know. I think that’s how he enters the MCU

I think Doom works much better as a looming threat and Galactus should be the villain in the background built up to. We could have Dooms first full appearance in maybe Fantastic 4 part 2 and after he's "defeated" (after putting our heroes through hell showing that he's aforce to be reckoned with, the Fantastic 4 should only barely stop him.) we get a post credit scene teasing Latveria and an indication of more things to come (maybe he accomplished his goal, maybe being defeated was according to his plan idk) and then we get him as an Avengers villain and maybe have him involved in other schemes where he actually wins (even if other villains he allies himself with lose he comes out on top), give us a hint of a bigger unknown plan and make him a force to be reckoned with with and terrifying because he's too smart and powerful and no one really knows what his endgame is which makes it even scarier.
Mystical like dr. Strange, technological like iron man, strong like Thor, ruler of a country like black panther, a symbol tou his own country like captain America, a sympathetic influencer like magneto.
I think a Doom solo movie or even a Disney+ series based on The Books of Doom would actually make a lot of sense.

I love this concept man. I wasn't sure who I wanted to be the next big bad until I saw this video. This is an absolutely perfect concept.
I like Doom being the villain but I HATE what you’ve done with Galactus. Man is arguably the biggest, most dangerous and most powerful villain in all of Marvel comics, and you totally just brushed him to the side. After how terribly he was treated in Rise of the Silver Surfer he deserve so much better than that

Also, I think Doom should be depicted as having an Eastern European accent seeing as how his homeland of Latvaria is located in between Serbia and Romania (maybe his backstory could include him building up to his taking power in the country by being involved in events such as the overthrow of Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu or the Yugoslav Wars).

I'd love to see a solo Dr Doom movie. He is a hero. He is moved by tragedy to correct the wrongs in the world, the injustices committed to his people, the dead of his father and the imprisonment of his mother in hell.
Imagine following this young man taking on the world with nothing but his enormous willpower. Imagine witnessing this poor orphan taking over Latveria with a genius strategy, sure he'd have done morally questionable acts, but they're for the greater good. Then the glorious moment of final battle versus Mephisto, how against all odds he finally defeats the actual devil and rescues his mother.
Imagine loving this character and following down the road of his transformation from Victor to DR DOOM. It could be everything the second Star Wars trilogy wasn't.
I feel like Doom could definitely stay around for an eventual Secret Wars movie.

Having read the Doctor Doom solo origin comic I do think they could and should make a movie about him after a Fantastic Four movie.
I see the mcu building towards secret wars as the next endgame like event, I don’t see them starting off with a villain as big as annihilus, they’d probably start with someone closer to the ground, and who better to start off with than molecule man. I see Galactus getting set up in a FF movie but ultimately being the villain of an avengers movie. I could see either Annihilus or Doom for either FF sequel

Man, I'm going crazy just thinking of the casting auditions for Doom.
This is great!!! Two major notes I would add in order to make this shine
1. While I agree that dr doom should be a credible and avengers level threat. I feel that neither his nor Reeds charachters fully live up to their potential unless both have go into the final conflict knowing that as far as they've both come since college Reed is still greater then Doom.
So I feel that despite Dooms power their first encounter should end with Reed just baaaaaaaaarely edging out what can be qualified as a win over Doom through the capabilities of his immense genius and relying on his family rather then being consumed by his pride. But Doom still isnt gone as he has HELLA fucking diplomatic immunity this having been Slokovia and Dr doom being a valued member of global discussions and weapons trade. So he gets to fight another day having been defeated where it hurts the most. His pride.
2. So far most Avengers villains have held the philosophy of people criticising marvel movies at the time.
Loki: these characters are so different this will never work
Ultron: I'm so sick of these movies always ending up with the world at risk. just end it already.
Thanos: there are too many damn characters by now.
So with all of the character work already established here and Marvels new direction of exploring the marvel multi-media multi-verses
Dooms big final showing could be an adaptation of the new Secret Wars where Doom gets the power of the beyonder with the philosophy of: "this whole thing is way too messy by now. Let's streamline it." With the moral of the movie being "embrace change and move forward" as that's the point where they problably feel confident enough with all their new players to have a whole new generation completely helm the franchise.

P.S. Who would you cast as doom?
The only thing I disagree with is making Annihilus the bad guy of the first movie and making him the reason for the cosmic storm, because 1. I think he’s a bigger villain and takes more time to explain in a movie where we already have to explain 4 heroes and 2. Because making him the reason for the cosmic storm takes the Reed/Ben relationship away of Ben blaming Reed for him becoming the Thing and Reed desperately trying to fix it
Charles Taylor Co did you watch the entire video ? I explained how you could have him in the first movie then build him over phase 5-6 as the cosmic big bad further developing him and making him the villain of a future nova movie, and too answer your second point the cosmic storm has no relation to the Ben/reed relationship, reed still gets Ben to reluctantly join his mission as the pilot, they still go off and get caught in the cosmic fallout/storm, and Ben still gets to blame reed because if reed hadn’t got his friend to pilot he wouldn’t be a monster, nothing about the origin or the relationship has changed except for it not being a random cloud, it makes the story a lot more tighter.
SUPER FRAME Yes I saw the rest of the video, I just personally feel we should use a villain easier to explain like the Mole Man, Puppet Master, or even the Wizard in their first outing because I can see somebody getting shafted when it comes to development but that’s just my point of view, and I kinda see what you’re saying about the Reed/Ben and Annihilus issue but from my storytelling viewpoint if Ben finds out Annihilus is the cause of the cosmic storm I feel he wouldn’t have a strong reason to blame Reed anymore but then again maybe that could be the conclusion of the first movie where for most of the movie Ben blames Reed and then realizes it wasn’t all Reed’s fault
As someone who isn't really that much of big comic book fan, I really am liking doctor doom, I've been searching up for him in Wikipedia. I actually prefer him being an Arch nemesis of the avengers than the fantastic four.
His main tie is and has to remain to the FF, but he can have a lesser one to the Avengers as well.
Imagine if that kid from Iron Man 3 is the son of someone important down the line aswell

Your in-depth analysis and timeline remind me so much of my editor and I when we're scoping out our 15 book series. It takes work, but to build someone like Doom up properly, I think you're right. It takes time, and it's worth it in the end. The fanboy in me wants a Doom movie just as much as he wants a Thrawn movie - but the key thing is that I want a GOOD one. And for that, we have to simmer. We have to wait.

My idea is close to yours. Was talking about it to one of my friends a month ago. And this is what i came up with:
Doom rebuilds Sokovia. Becoming it's ruler. And he tricks a very depressed Scarlet Witch. Getting her on his side. But, it's a more damaged relationship than Harley and Joker.
The Original Avengers have either died or are retired. So, Doom sees this as the perfect opportunity to spread his rule.
Spiderman being a huge(perhaps the only) fan of The Fantastic 4. Still believes they are out there somewhere. He travels thru the jungles with Black Panther. And meets up with Kraven The Hunter(who is the big villain of the movie). After defeating Kraven. Peter and Kraven become allies. And they search the jungles for the forgotten tomb. That Doom imprisoned The Fantastic 4. The Movie ends with The Fantastic 4 revived. Leading to a Fantastic 4 prequel(set in the 60s). We see them fight crime against the likes of The Moleman and Namor. Finally falling to Doom at the end(not seeing his full power, just enough to know he's a fatal threat). This would lead to Avengers: Doom. Where Doom finds the portal to hell. Hulk and Doctor Strange attempt to stop Doom. Doom kills Strange. And just before Strange breathes his final breath. He passes his amulet to Hulk. Doom laughs. And sucks the Hulk into Hell. But...leaving Bruce Banner on earth. Bruce is followed by the spirit of Strange as his guide to teach him the ways of mystic arts. While recruiting The New Avengers. The final act is all The Avengers teaming up against Doom, Scarlet Witch, The Sinister 6, Justin Hammer and The Mandarin. The Avengers look like they have the battle won. Only for Doom to open the portal to hell to summon DEMON HULK!
