I made this soap two days ago and not does it smell fantastic, I tested small pieces that broke in one of the cavities and omg! My skin feels soooo good! I used my own blend of essential oils. My only observation is my soap hasn’t hardened fast. I have left it two days now. I think because of the lower salt amount and I didn’t cover or CPOP the soap. I can’t wait until it fully cures. I got a feeling I’m going to love this soap! I like I may try a different water discount to see if they harden faster but other than that, this recipe is perfect for a newbie like me to soap making! I have learned soooo much from you over the past year. Thank you so much for the inspiration and tutorials. I am a huge fan ❤️
Middle of a sleepless night, and here I am watching you Holly make another batch of beautiful soap with your beautiful calming voice. I have the ingredients so plan on making this in a few days. I like the idea of lower concentration of salt, and a sprinkle of crystal salt on top. Thank you for all you share with novices like me.
I made the soap and scented it with Vanilla Berry. It turned out wonderful and no scratchy feeling. Thank You! I love your videos and recipes. I mix my clay in with the fragrance oil.
I have to agree about the less salt. I like it much better that way too. SO lovely and luxurious. The little sea shell mold you used was perfect for these bars and the two tone batch was beautiful. As always Holly, amazing!!
Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing. I have quite a lot of Mexican mint infused coconut oil and olive oil. So will use them in your recipe and change it to a green salt bar.
Your soaps are always so beautiful, and your video, music and voice is so soothing. I haven’t been able to soap due to some difficulties atm, but I sure miss it. I enjoy soaping so much.
Hi Kathy, do you mind telling me how much water and lye exactly should i use in this recipe, i am a newbie and doesnt know how to use a more sophisticated lye calculator and i just dont want to mess up on my first try thanks!
philip ma I converted her recipe to a soap box of 269 oz. I wish I could easily tell you an exact amount but you must know the dimensions of the box you are using (length X width X depth, that will give you cubic inches. Then you must multiply that answer by .4 which will give you the total oz for your recipe. You must use “Soap Calc” with her given percentages. There just is no easy way to do it. I desperately wanted help too when I started. I am not trying to brush you off, but it is critical to follow those guidelines. Watch videos, write everything down. Keep them in a folder to refer back to. It will take months to figure it all out. Get beginner books. Try ready made kits from Bramble Berry. Don’t give up on your dream...it will happen. I’m starting my own business now! Best wishes!
This looks a gorgeous soap. I’ve done a salt bar at 50% salt and it was way too scratchy...inspired, I will try again at 10% salt. Thank you for sharing and stay safe 🙏💕
I love your videos. I've made a lot of your soaps. Please keep posting. I really think you need to talk more. Lol. I could listen to you all day. Thanks for everything. 🙂
Hello, I am Lucero an I am making soaps under "natural by lucero". I tried your recipe last night. It seemed a challenge but I made it after all. It looks beautiful and I wished I could show you the pictures. It was incredible how fast it hardened. I am a beginner soaper and this was a great experience.
I love the simplicity and beauty of this soap! And what a wonderful video overall - very clear explanations with beautiful photography (or shall I say videography 😅) and calming music. Thank you for sharing!
Absolutely loved the video and the calmness I received from watching. Getting ready to make this recipe, but will use sweet orange EO with a hint of cedarwood 💖
Your videos are so good, so clean and soothing, odd I know, but it's calming, also so is your voice, thanks for an amazing video, I haven't made a salt bar yet but will soon after watching your video xx
Your talent is amazing, soap goals someday😉. I made them today as well and they came out awesome. Thank you for your recipes and videos, truly an inspiration
This looks so beautiful Holly! Will this be drying for sensstive skin with such a high cleansing # of 34 in soap calc, or does the SF bslance it out, thanks?
I'm now binge watching your videos. I have no idea why I haven't found you before?! I know from watching other soap makers that they use kaolin clay to help make scents stick in soap
Hi, I've tried this soap with himalayan salt, but in curing process the salt is melt and always melting, leaving water everywhere. How about you? thanks
Hello there...thank you for the inspiration. I have been thinking about making an all salt soap bar. I normally make a pink clay, Himalayan salt, and activated charcoal bar. Keep inspiring 🤗 blessings 🙏
Thank you for this video. I wanted to ask if we don't add the salt at all would the superfat still stay at 12%? Does the superfat percentage alter because of salt or the addition of 50% coconut oil? Many thanks
Thank you for this beautiful video and sharing your knowledge with the rest of us! I have all these ingredients at home and am excited about making this soap this weekend. :)
Such a beautiful video and soft color to the soap. Not only will I try this recipe ( I used too much Mg salt before and ruined it) it is so relaxing to watch ☺️ stress begone
I'm so glad I came across this video. I'd made salt bars in the past without much trouble but in recent years any time I make them they crumble when cutting. I look forward to trying your recipe because I loved making these bars. Thanks for sharing 😊😊 PS - the soap is absolutely gorgeous!
@@sustainabarcompany7991 Thanks. I was wondering how long you left it in the loaf mold when it crumbled (your comment from 2 years ago). I want to make it in a loaf mold and Holly said she cut it at about 16 hours without it crumbling.
I hope you all are doing well and hanging in there! ❤️Thank you so much for watching!
I love love your videos hoping to try making soap as well but don't know what should i start of first with.
Thank you for sharing it really helped 🥰
Hello Holly, can pink French clay be used instead of the pink kaolin clay?
Your videos are very relaxing
Is it possible to make it using a hot process (Crockpot) instead of the cold process? I like the fact that the hot process cooks the lye.
