My salt bars are sitting on blotting paper at the moment, the amount of water they are attracting is amazing. I am in Victoria where the humidity is normally low, but is Qld level today.
Love your salt bar Keeley, and those colours are stunning. I love Cerise by MMO! The handy tip with the cutter and how to measure was brilliant.. certainly going to apply that one. I’m really looking forwards to making this recipe.
A very pretty bar Keeley, I too love salt bars, but to date only make in single moulds, I like the size of the square ones I have. I’ve used both Himalayan pink salt and Sea Salt individually, but stick to clay for colouring. I do like your pink you made very summery in appearance Thanks for sharing.
hi love your videos - once the soap is cured can you feel the salt in the bar when you use it ?- is it more exfoliating THANK YOU!!! keep up the great videos!
I've never tried a salt bar, you naturally think it I'd going to be drying on the skin but they aren't I take it, what does the skin feel like after using one.? Love that bright pink you mixed up, such a beautiful colour.
Many think salt is drying as we use it to cure foods but the reason it works so well is because salt draws moisture to it. People used to put rice in their salt shakers to try and keep the salt dry. It's this ability to draw moisture that makes salt soap and scrubs so wonderful on the skin. 🧡
Hello. Thank you for the great video. I like your cutting tools. I am a woodworker and those look like quality. I am also a newish soaper. I have a question. Can a salt bar be considered a shower bar? My idea is an all around bar (im a guy. Thats how we think. :)) but I want to incorporate salt into it. I made a 40/60 salt/soap bar and its basically a brick.
Thank you 🧡 I've been lucky to have such beautiful cutters made for me. You can use a salt bar as a shower bar. They do need to be formulated right as salt can inhibited lather and you dont want a drying soap bar. They are a fairly solid bar due to the amount of coconut oil usually used.

That's one of the worst things about curing salt bars. If you wrap them, make sure they are completely dry first or they sweat. 🧼

So therapeutic just by the look and I'm pretty sure it also works as best as your soaps always are.
Thank you 🧼 I love the feel these have on the skin. You feel like you've been to the spa.
Looks lovely, well done. I was on the edge thinking oh that will setup fast! hehe! 😁🙏
Lots of practise knowing when to cut them 😉

Beautiful bars!
Thank you 🧼
So pretty!!
Thank you 🧼
Beautiful salt bar. I do mine in molds because I'm to busy to babbysit, lol!
Jill
🤣 I hate the babysitting part but I can't find the right size mould
It's beautiful next time can you also put Rose Petals with the Salt too that would look beautiful too.
Thank you 🧼 the extras sound pretty but with our humidity levels, mixing salt and botanicals is not a good idea. From experience it grows mould
@@SoyandShea ok I see other soap makers do it it looks so pretty on top with the salt or poppy seeds thank you 😊

You can feel some of the grains but its not Exfoliating like having coffee grounds. Salt bars feel amazing on the skin
Hello can we just use a soap melt and pour base? If so what kind do you recommend?? Thank u
I don't have a lot of experience with melt and pour so can't really answer that sorry
💯💯💯
Thank you for watching 🌸

Love your earrings :)
Thank you 💗 just a little fun
What should be the percentage of sea salt per kilo of oils?
Really depends on your personal preference
@@SoyandShea Is it used for all skin types? Or just oily skin?
maam gud am where can i buy himalayan salt?
It depends where you're from. Most food stores will sell it
Where is the recipe?
