    I have zero knowledge on how to use soldering equipment and this is my favorite instruction video because it’s the easiest for me to understand. Thank you! I have the soldering wire that has flux inside. Is that just as good? I’m looking to re-attach a micro usb charging port on a device that broke off from daily use. If the pads are detached from the board will I be able to repair it? Are we able to add NEW pads?

      Even though your solder wire has flux inside, it is recommended to use extra flux.
      When there is a damage on the board, you will need to use a thin copper wire and solder the one side to the usb charging port leg, and the other side has to be soldered on the pad which is on the motherboard side. If you are a beginner, this won't be easy. Need experiences.

    Isn't it better to use solder paste instead a tin? I'm asking as a newbie :)

    • @PTITBROTHERGravenhurst
      @PTITBROTHERGravenhurst  2 года назад +3

      In some cases, yes. It is better to use solder paste instead, but if you are a newbie, you may create lots of bridge between pins, and it will be tough to remove those bridges.
