Oh man, what a fine machine! And viewers, turn up the volume and listen at 2:26. It reminds me of the Pratt & Whitney R2800 in the Red Bull F4U-4 Corsair fighter plane.
I had a bench seat in my 73 and 3 could sit comfortable but 4 could be crammed. The trucks seem wide. At least wider than anything new. Don't forget the birdbath hood.
Mike: I almost have the same setup as yours except mine is 1977 Stepside. It is a Dodge True Spirit with the Factory 440/727/9 1/4 sure track rear with 3:55 gears. How did you lower the back end of this truck? looks great BTW
Hey Chace. Shoot me an email to letsgo@cableone.net and I can email you back with his number. Of course I had to clear with him first, but not going to post his number here.
Glory, iv got same faded green 2wd short fleetside,,w 440mag,from 71 or 72,car,w 727,it was 75 ram,i was empty of slant 6 n 4spd title says 3/ 4 ton.springs in front didnt drop upon big blk install.i want transfer case on trans,so im stuck waitin for custom driveshsft. Im hoping t transfer case will give me high n low minus front driveshaft axle n shaft.nobody here know if it will work or not, in theory its logical. I see you relocated rearshock to lower ride hieght, th 440 was from new car that trainwrecked, they buried the cars, but this 440 mystreriouly was saved from burial. Les than 10 k miles on it from ramcharger,it has cam like yours ,Crower,n lifters, w arp bolts an new windage tray from sump relocate, longtube header,s, i ordered 69 superbee exhaust tips, not on yet, but winter here in montana, i like your truck
Wow, a lot going on there and I’m not sure what was questions and what was plain information.:-) I can tell you that the transfer case will indeed give a hi/lo range to the rear without the front drive shaft. Lots of people ran 4x4’s with only the rear driveshaft.
Love the Mopars, but that view though beautiful landscape there.
Thanks, and yes it is a beautiful view.
