I am using jaggery since last two years..I am using it after boiling in liquid form..Near about five kilogram Jaggery is being used instead of sugar in coffee, tea extra..It is amazing fact that my sugar level is stll below 80 mg in fasting and 100 mg in random..I am regularly doing one hour resistance training or cardio training since last five years..No blood sugar, No high blood pressure and No blood cholesterol..

My family has replaced sugar with organic jaggery (without chemicals darker in colour)

I've stopped consuming the three whites: refined sugar, salt and maida. I started using jaggery in various things since 4 years, like tea and stuff. Calorie wise, no difference but yeah very nutritious, can curb your sweet tooth as well and as it is less processed in comparison to sugar, it has more natural nutrients.
How u replaced salt
@@aniketjandial6193 I use black salt mostly. In my foods, salads etc and also I never ever add extra salt to food like in dal etc. I completely avoid salt wherever I can

@@sahilsharda7062 salt is not that bad, moderation is fine. Many people who have high bp also dont workout or get some physical activity. Sometimes things are correlated not necessarily causation.
@@lalithrockz yes that's true. But it's very difficult to stick with the recommended daily limit of salt, generally we tend to go above the that limit. So that's how I built my habit to consume salt and not to exceed the limit

Jaggery does have a few micronutrients like Iron and Magnesium which is not there in refined sugars. But I don't think many of the people reading this lack from getting the nutrients from other source, but the problem is that they consume more food. Moderate food and enough exercise is the key.
The best thing to do is to bring down the consumption of any sugary food, slowly and gradually. Usually people associate liquor or drugs with addiction. But high carb food is also highly addictive. You can search for videos by Nora Volkow who has done extensive research on addiction. In simple terms, the brain itself get rewired when you consume addictive substances, whether be it drug or sugary food, which causes us to crave for more. Also you cannot eat into a healthy life style, you got to work for it.

Don't think about it too much, everything in moderation, eating healthy as much as one can like vegetables. If you eat vegetables with even white rice the overall GI will reduce. So finally try to eat a balanced diet instead of just rice n curry or roti n curry. Add vegetables and any protein source.
